“Wait, what are you doing?” Arabelle feels confused when the town guards are suddenly arresting her.

“Let her go and stop harassing her!” Armand shouted but also ended up being held by the guards. 

“She was reported as a witch so she will be put on trial.” One of the guards informed them as they tried to struggle.

“Don't talk to them and don't admit anything.” Armand told her with a worried look on his face.

Arabelle's eyes widened since she realized that they were in a time when witches were burned. Panic washed over her since she can be considered a witch. She was able to cast some spells before. Although they don't have to know about that. She can just try to cooperate for now until she can think of something. Armand can't do anything if he gets arrested as well. She needs to put on a show for now. Maybe Ralph will show up somehow. 

The guards took her and brought her inside the dungeon. It was just located at the heart of the town but below the ground. Before she went below, she saw the guards let go of Armand. Although the guards made sure that he can't get underground where the dungeon is located. She wished that she would be able to get out of that filthy place. There are women inside the cells who must be reported as witches as well. She can't stay there for a long time.

“You will be kept here until your trial.” one of the guards said and pushed her inside one of the cells.

“Do you believe all these women are witches?You must be really crazy to think that.” Arabelle replied. 

“I'm sorry, miss but we're just doing our jobs.” That guard responded and turned around to leave.

“Darn it! I just bought this ugly outfit to get arrested.” she told herself and turned around to look inside the cell.

She saw another woman inside but she looked hypnotized. Whoever is behind this must be doing it so the women can't fight for themselves. They will just end up getting burned while the townspeople watch them. There are a lot of sick people in this town during this time. Who in their right mind enjoys that? She needs to find a way to escape before she also gets hypnotized. When that happens, she can't save herself from there anymore.

Lucious lurks in the dungeon again since he heard that there's a fresh addition. He needs to make sure that everyone inside is hypnotized. It's his responsibility to do that so the government can burn “witches”. When he heard about the existence of this place, he immediately looked for it. He found his purpose again the moment he got there. That's why he will do anything so that he can stay there for good. Now, he needs to hypnotize women.

“I'll hypnotize the new girl and taste her blood as well.” Lucious told himself and started walking towards the cell.

Armand decided to stay close to where Arabelle is held captive. In case something happens, he can save her right away. It's funny that the guards just let him go without knowing that he's more dangerous than the witches. Although he can't tell them that or he might end up getting arrested as well. He needs to find a way to save his sister from getting burned at stake. She didn't even know yet that he's her brother which is sad.

The guards and other people look busy as if they are getting ready for a trial. During these times, people held the witch's trials almost daily. Maybe they want to make the crowd feel that they are safe. It's hard to understand how close minded people only believe in one thing. During this time, they seem to believe that witches will harm them. That's why the government arrests random women and calls them witches before they burn them.

“Armand, what are you doing here?” a familiar voice asked which made him turn around.

“Ralph, you're really here. Arabelle and I were looking for you.” he informed him with an excited expression. 

“Arabelle is also here? Where is she?” Ralph asked.

“Well, someone reported her as a witch so they arrested her earlier.” he responded.

Ralph wasn't surprised anymore since that place seems to just pick on women. Maybe it's because Arabelle came from the present time which made her a target. The way she talks will make the people there think that she's  a witch. Anything different from what they were used to will be seen as witchcraft. It will be hard to change their minds about it since that's what they believe. Now that Arabelle is here, it means he needs to save her first.

He was planning to save those women anyway but now, the stakes are higher. Arabelle will be on the trial with the other women. They think they are witches that cause people harm. How can she deny being a witch if it's in her blood? Even if she denies it, she will still end up being burned for sure. That's how they do the witch's trial during this time. It's good to know that it will not exist anymore in the future. But how can they save Arabelle for now?

“Let's just grab Arabelle when they place her on trial. Can you do a spell to help us escape?” Ralph suggested.

“I still need to think what's the best spell to use for that.” Armand suddenly felt pressured. 

“Don't worry, I'll just use my abilities for our escape. Just make sure to follow us out of this timeline.” Ralph said.

“Okay, I think let's just go for it and hope for the best.” Armand responded with his willingness to escape.

“I think the witch's trial will begin soon. Let's get ready for our escape.” Ralph told him and went near the stage.

“Maybe it's better to just do impromptu so we can all escape together.” Armand replied and followed.
