Chapter 7 (Cute)

With me on top of him, I quickly try to get up and regain my posture. I face my back towards him because I was too petrified to look at him right now.

"Well, that's going to leave a stain." What? Did he see me blushing hard? How much more embarrassed could I be?

"I don't know what you saw but I was just embarrassed, It didn't mean anything." I muster up the courage to defend myself.

"I was talking about the tomatoes, They are smothered on me too. You know, since you fell on top of me. What are you talking about miss?" Oh shit! Whyy? God is cruel sometimes. He is definitely teasing me.

"Um, nothing at all." Can I disappear?

"Sure.."He chuckles and proceeds to open the secret door and holds the door open for me.

"Ladies first."He smirks. Damn this guy is sure chessy. I enter the door and find myself in a narrow corridor which I assume hasn't been used that often because there was dust and spider webs everywhere. Since it was the day, natural light seemed to enter the corridors.

"How do you sneak out at night? It is barely visible even though it's the day." Curiously I ask.

"Well, there is something called fire." He says sarcastically.

"Well if we are talking about fire, I'm right here."

"Hahaha Wow did not expect that coming from you." Neither did I.

"What can I say? I'm full of surprises."

"Your not half bad Miss Sara." He smirks.

"Neither are you Sir Reece." We reach the end of the corridor and find another door. Reece opens the door and mouths to me to be quiet. I simply nod.

We sneak into the door which was connected to the royal chambers corridor and it was well hidden too. It was camouflaged to the wall. We say our goodbyes and I go downstairs to get instructions for today's work and to change my clothes. It's not half bad cleaning, it just makes you exhausted afterward.

After the day's work. I head towards the castle gates and just then I remembered that my house is destroyed. Just then when I was about to head back inside, one of the guards approached me.

"Are you Miss Sara Lilly?" I simply respond with a nod.

"Please follow me." With that, he walks and I follow him.

We end up walking up three floors before finally reaching a door. He opens it for me and I see a lovely room compared to the one I've been sleeping in before. Of course, it was not as grand as a royal chamber but with all that I've been through, this was all I could ask for.

"What's this?" I ask. Surely this couldn't be a maid's bedroom. It was too grand for that.

"This room is for you. We got special instructions from the Prince." Special instructions? That's nice to hear.

"Oh okay"The guard leaves the room and closes the door behind him. I am once again left alone with my thoughts and was thinking about my kingdom.

The royal court law states that 'If the heir of the kingdom dies and is left with no one to rule. After 3 months, the kingdom will be ruled by the one who is engaged to the heir or according to the will of the heir.'

In simple terms, Reece will take over my kingdom within three months. I believe Reece will not kill me just to rule my kingdom. It's much harder to rule and does not give more power. It's like an increase in the population which results in much lesser control. It just doesn't make sense.

I hear whispers in the corridors, the guard must not have closed the door fully. I walk towards my door to close but couldn't believe my ears with what I'm hearing.

"Have you found the body yet!?" It was a females voice and she sounded pretty angry.

"No, It's nowhere to be found." The other voice was of a man and he seemed scared.

"We did not just kill anyone Harold! We killed a princess, and not just any princess. The very princess engaged to our king! If anybody finds the body and has any evidence we are done for!" What!? These were the people trying to kill me! I couldn't breathe. What was I hearing?

"S-Sorry! I will find it as soon as possible!"

"Well, you better! The Devil's Angels are counting on us!" Devils angels? Is that some type of organization? Why are they trying to kill me?

I waited for what seemed like hours before I took a deep breath. I finally closed the door and let's just say, I couldn't sleep at night.

The next day was pretty uneventful. Noon came pretty fast, as I was heading back to my room I noticed my room was wide open. I race towards my room and to my surprise I found prince Reece standing inside and waiting for me. As soon as he saw me, he smiled, it reminds me of the night we first met. I quickly close the door behind me and this time I check if it's properly closed.

"What are you doing here?" I ask, and for a second there I forgot he was the prince.

"I mean... What are you doing here Prince?"

"You can talk casually to me, I quite like it." He smirks

"Ok then, but only when we are alone..."

"Deal. So how do you like your room?" He gestures the room

"Isn't it too grand for a maid?" I was really confused. In my castle, the maids had much smaller rooms but in good condition.

"Least I can do to keep you from telling my secret." He bends towards me and whispers with a smile. I step back a little.

"I would have kept your secret either way."

"And why is that?" He takes one step towards me and our faces are inches apart. He is being cocky. Oh, ill show him.

"Then I can make you do whatever I want you to, "I smirk and take a step forward. our foreheads almost touching. This caught him off guard and he stumbles backward and falls. I laugh and stretch my hand to help him.

He can be really cute sometimes.
