Chapter 24 (Change)

The memories of the assassin in the prison flashback. If I didn’t know before I would have died. I need to have killer instincts in order to survive this fight with the devil's angels.

“How long would it take me to wield a sword? Just enough to protect myself?” I need to get stronger and I have to stop being the weak treasured princess! I have to protect the people I love!

“Two months at the most, We have to leave now. I can teach you once you get there.” What he said made sense but now is not the time. I have to end this once and for all.

“no. Report to the castle that I'm dead.”

“What! What are you saying!” he is smart enough to know what I'm saying.

“If I say you're dead what about prince Reece!” How did he-

“If you're thinking how did I know well... it's obvious. I mean I found out you were princess Lilian it is not too hard to notice that prince Reece is in love with you.” That is true but I still was not expecting this.

“I have to do this to protect him! If they think I'm dead for real this time they will lower their guards and that’s when ill strike! I will finish this once and for all! For both the kingdoms! Either you help me or I do this alone!” I scream.

 I am angry and sad that I have to do this. I hate the fact that the past is affecting the present and I will not allow it to affect the future! Not under my watch! The one thing that I learned when I was a maid in hiding was that all that I learned was a lie. I should not be ruthless but kind. I should not be scared but brave.

What seems like common sense now didn’t seem like it then. I truly want to change. I want to get stronger, braver, kinder and be noble and do the right thing. Right now I feel this is it.

I love my people and I love Reece. I know he can't lose me twice I have to inform him without the general knowing. But how?

“How do I inform Reece? Is there any way?” I hope there is.

“There is one way. But it is dangerous.” He sighs

I need to do it no matter what. He has to know that I'm alive!

“How dangerous? I need to do it!” I am determined.

“I can send a letter through the trading routes as a letter from me but just in case the general might find out.” This is a problem. Wait!

“Code! I can send a letter through code acting as a mercenary for the goods instead of you! So even if he finds the letter he would not understand!” Great!

“Okay, I will do that. Now, where are we going to go now?”

“We are in the outskirts of the kingdom right.”

“Right.” He says unsure of what I'm thinking.

“There is a small village near hear I think about a few kilometers we should walk there fast and my name should change again as well as yours. Are you okay doing this with me?” I should have asked sooner.

“Okay. But first I should send two letters one to fake your death and the other to send it to Reece in code.” 

“I should write it. There must be a paper and pen somewhere in this warehouse.”

“Found it!” Raymond said while carrying it and leading me to a desk.

I started writing the letter

I'm anticipating lots of incentive for this package prince Reece the venue to send the package is elvense. Thank you for your generosity.

“I'm done.” I know he will know it is me.

“How will he find out?” He says curiously

“I wrote the letters IM ALIVE darker than the others! He will definitely notice it I'm sure!” Raymond looks astonished.

“That’s brilliant.” He is amazed. I mean why wouldn't he be.

“Where is Eve?” I know she kidnapped me but she was the only one who tried to save me. She is a victim of the general is being manipulated.

“She is in the cell. I heard what she said when I ran over to save you. I know she was just being manipulated. We just need to explain it to her.” He says calmly.

As expected of Raymond. I smile knowing that he is a person I could rely on.

So now we started traveling and I don’t know when I will see Reece again but when I do I will be stronger and I will change.
