Chapter 58 Passionate Sex
The car pulled up in front of the mansion, and Howard expertly maneuvered his wheelchair, holding the dazed Valerie securely in his arms as they entered the house.
In the dimly lit room, Valerie lay sprawled on the bed, her face flushed. Her usually lively eyes now shimmered with a hint of desire. She twisted uncomfortably, the smooth sheets beneath her wrinkling.
The heat deep within her was eroding her sanity. All Valerie wanted was to absorb more coolness to counteract the fiery heat consuming her body.
She whimpered in discomfort, sweat beads forming and sticking her hair to her skin. The small bedside lamp cast a warm glow, adding a seductive allure to her every movement.
"Howard..." Valerie panted heavily, arching her back with effort. Her slender arms wrapped around Howard's neck as she lifted her chin to kiss his soft, cool lips.
Despite her desire, she was mindful of Howard's limited mobility. She shifted her hips, eyes closed, trying to straddle his waist as she had in the car, attempting to take the initiative.
But simple hugs and kisses were no longer enough to quell the heat surging within her.
Sensing Howard's hesitation, Valerie's rationality crumbled further. Her voice took on a tearful edge as her hands wandered downward. "I can't take it..."
Howard remained silent, indulging her actions without resistance.
At the critical moment, he suddenly grasped Valerie's hands, kissing her ear. His deep voice whispered, "Are you sure?"
Valerie didn't respond, burying her head and struggling, frustrated that Howard had stopped.
She looked up to find Howard staring intently at her.
She frowned, trying to kiss him again, but he turned his head away.
Howard held her chin, looking at her pouting red lips. He gave her a reassuring kiss and continued in a low, coaxing tone, "Tell me, are you sure you want this?"
Even though he knew Valerie wouldn't refuse in her current state, Howard insisted on a clear answer.
He needed to make sure that when Valerie woke up, she wouldn't regret having had sex with him.
"Howard!"
Valerie's voice was hoarse from the heat burning inside her, crying out his name.
Seeing his relent, she nodded repeatedly.
With Valerie's consent, Howard could no longer restrain his desire. He pulled her into his arms forcefully, his kisses raining down like a storm, lingering over every inch of her skin.
The intense pleasure overwhelmed Valerie's senses, as if her soul was being shattered. Her lips parted with soft moans, not even registering the strength Howard displayed, which seemed impossible for someone who had been in a wheelchair.
All she remembered was Howard's constant murmurs of love in her ear, each word filled with deep emotion.
After countless moments of passion, they finally fell asleep in each other's arms.
When Howard woke, Valerie was still curled up against him, asleep.
He opened his eyes, slowly looking down at her, his thoughts sluggish.
Feeling the warmth of their bodies pressed together, Howard realized that last night had been real.
A smile tugged at his lips as he kissed her face, feeling it wasn't enough, so he kissed her several more times.
His movements soon woke Valerie.
She frowned, half-awake, trying to push him away.
But as soon as she moved, a wave of soreness spread from between her legs through her entire body. Valerie froze, collapsing back into his arms.
She pursed her lips, slowly lifting her eyes to meet Howard's mischievous smile.
"What's so funny?" Valerie snapped, slapping Howard's body. "It's all your fault!"
He said he couldn't fulfill his marital duties!
He was just being modest!
She felt like her waist was going to break.
The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. She glared at him and kicked him.
Howard laughed, dodging her kick. Seeing Valerie still frowning, he pulled her back into his arms, his hand gently massaging her lower back.
Soon, Valerie closed her eyes in contentment.
She looked up at Howard, poking his face with her finger. "Will you dare lie to me again?"
"This time, I'll forgive you because you saved me. But if you lie to me again..." Valerie added another finger, pinching his face.
Seeing Howard's forced funny expression, her mood improved. "Don't blame me for turning my back on you!"
Howard looked away, feeling guilty. But hearing Valerie's threatening tone, he quickly hid his panic, kissing her face.
As they played around in bed, the phone rang from the nightstand. Valerie poked her head out from the covers, patting Howard. "Stop it, the phone's ringing."
"Leave it alone."
Howard pulled Valerie's hand, trying to continue, but the phone kept ringing persistently.
Howard opened his eyes, full of frustration. He reached for the phone, and seeing the caller ID, his annoyance faded a bit. He answered, "Hello, Grandma."
"Come back to The Carter Manor tonight," Raina's cold voice came through. "You better bring Valerie, or you'll regret it!"
Even from a distance, Valerie could hear Raina's words.
She looked at Howard's resigned expression with amusement. When he hung up, she tilted her head, a bit smug. "Looks like Grandma loves me the most."
"Yeah." Howard's lazy voice stretched out as he nuzzled Valerie's head. "Do you want to see me suffer?"
"It depends." Valerie pretended to think, lying on his chest.
"Come on..." Howard's eyes widened, hugging her anxiously. "Didn't we make up?"
Seeing his worried expression, Valerie couldn't help but laugh, shaking her head. "Just kidding."
After a night of passion, Valerie was exhausted. Having just gone through a kidnapping, she couldn't muster the energy to go to work. She took another day off, lying beside Howard, watching him work.
By evening, she finally got up, choosing a proper outfit to accompany Howard to The Carter Manor.
They got out of the car one after the other, with Howard instructing Joseph to wait outside.
Valerie wheeled him slowly towards the manor's door and knocked.
An elderly man opened the door. Valerie, meeting him for the first time, smiled politely. "Hello."
The butler, Philip Mitchell, rolled his eyes but his attitude shifted completely when he saw Howard. "Mr. Carter."
Valerie paused.
She stared at the man, his smile making her wonder if the eye roll had been her imagination.
