92.2- A lovely Misunderstanding
A smile crept upon her lips as she tilted her head and held my hands. A round of applause for the new couple, it felt great, my heart felt exhilarated.

"Nothing can give me more happiness than this." She whispered. My eyes widened as I grinned and hugged her.

"Oh, Thank you so much, Garnet. I love you so much" I whispered, hugging her tightly, kissing her neck. She chuckled and ruffled my hair and we remained like this followed by the sound of cheers in the air.

"By the way, just what happened to you in the night? What was the sudden rush?”

“Confession could have waited till my return or later, you know unless you want to make it dramatic." She giggled, pulling away a little, still confused about what happened.

“Are you truly here or am I dreaming?” She asked and I did the honors of pinching her arm but she knew it was true.

“Ouch, Roy! What the hell?” She gasped, rubbing her arm.

"How dare you? You literally killed me and now saying are you dreaming? You gave me the letter saying you are leaving.” I hissed in a low tone with a frown, standing up.

"Our flight has been missed, Nut." Eri said and Garnet sighed, "Because of your Brother Roy."

"What did I do? I didn't want you to go and leave me." I mumbled, shrugging my shoulders.

"Roy, what harm a few days gonna cause?" Garnet argued.

"What?" I asked, perplexed.

"Our Aunt was sick and we were going to visit her but thanks to you my beloved Roy. We missed our flight." She said with another sigh.

"So, you are not leaving me forever?" I asked. She gasped when she heard it and pinched my arm this time.

“Ouch, Garnet, what the hell?!”

"Why would I, dammit!? I have written that I will be back soon." She hissed that I thought she’d leave forever.

"Y-Your.. letter?" I stammered, knowing I made a misunderstanding.

"I wrote it to tell you I am going to meet my Aunt and don't know when I will be back and give you back your coin because I promise to give it to you when your revenge would be completed. What made you think that I am leaving forever?"

And I stood there silent, with my head hanging low and I knew I made a mistake but then I remembered and gasped.

"You.. didn't write you are going to meet your Aunt! It’s your fault for being so vague!”

"I must have forgotten. You could have called me, Roy. The phone is the greatest invention ever made. I was one call away.

Also, I have sent my urgent leave application by email. And don’t worry, you don’t have to marry me just to capture me in your domain.” She retorted.

I opened my mouth to taunt but- I am an idiot, I forgot the fact I have a phone to call and ask.

“Okay, I am sorry, I panicked. But, it was your fault for writing such an obscure letter. Who does that?” I muttered, turning my head away.

She stared at my face for the next few seconds and then broke into a laugh causing me to arch an eyebrow at her.

She just laughed and hugged me.

"Oh my Roy, I didn't know you were that scared to lose me. I am sorry, My love, I was sleepy, I don’t even remember what I wrote. Sorry.”

She giggled, rubbing my back, pulling me down to her level.

"A lot." I whispered. She kissed my head and pulled away.

"Our Aunt was sick so we are going to meet her and now you have to book the next flight to Canada for us." She grinned.

"Yeah.. Yeah.."  I said, scratching the back of my neck along with a nervous laugh.

"Brother Roy, so now you will not marry Garnet? You said this because you thought she was leaving forever and now she is not, are you still complying with your words?" Mini Garnet asked.

A smile crept upon my lips as I looked at Garnet and held her hands as I kissed them and said in a charming voice,

"I will say this over and over again. My words will never change, Mini Garnet."

And she chirped, clapping her hands, "I am so happy for you Nut!"

"Me too." She said, looking at me with those emerald eyes shining with endless endearment and love.

"But in the end it was all.." I began to say, moving close to her, filling with in-depth emotions of adoration for her.

I stared deeply in those pools of love and whispered, "A lovely misunderstanding."
