"What do you want to eat?" She asked, walking into her small kitchen.
Viktor's face brightened at that question. "I don't know, maybe some chicken salad-"
"Awesome, Coke right into the kitchen and help me prepare it," Jess cut him off from the kitchen.
Viktor's smile fell from his face when he heard Jess' reply.
"Why bother asking me what I wanted to eat if you were going to make me prepare it?" He mumbled like a kid as he let her inside the kitchen.
Jess smirked, "Oh, poor you, unfortunately, I don't make food for free anymore for men. In fact, I've never cooked for any man for three years, so you should be happy that I'm willing to help you out in the kitchen. In my opinion, no man is worth stressing yourself out for. Ungrateful creatures," She muttered the last part.
Viktor sighed, "I wonder what he didn't do to you," He said to himself, watching his hands in the sink.
"He's your friend, he'll tell you if you ask, but don't, he'd know that I told you; no one knew about our ordeal. So, I guess you'll never know. But knowing that he is a first-class jerk is good enough," She scoffed.
"Here, dice this celery," She pushed the vegetable toward Viktor and went to attend to other ingredients.
After eating, they sat in the living room catching up for the lost time, and after midnight, they ended up sleeping on the sofas.
The next morning, Jess drove Viktor back to his house and then headed to her gym.
"Good morning, young boss," A hefty guy greeted as Jess stepped into the gym.
"Morning, Guero, early practice?" She asked him.
Guero nodded, "Yes, boss, go get you more money tonight." He smiled.
Jess chuckled, "I appreciate the thought, Guero," She patted his arm and walked away.
"Um, boss?" Guero called as Hess was about to head to her office.
"Yes, Guero, don't tell me you need another raise because your car needs to be upgraded," She narrowed her eyes at him.
Geuro laughed, "My baby does need to be upgraded but that's not what I'm calling. Do you know him?" He pointed at the sliding glass doors.
Jess frowned. Hadn't she just dropped him off? Why was Viktor back here?
She drew out her phone and called the security that was blocking Viktor from entering.
"Let him in," She ordered through the phone and watched the security guy step out of the way to let Viktor in.
"Damn it, Jess! You never told me this was an only-member gym, were you planning to keep me out forever?" Viktor frowned as he walked over to her.
Jess smiled, "Exactly, Viktor, but looks like you're going to be hard to keep out," She chuckled.
"You bet," He scoffed.
"Now, why are you here...again," Jess questioned, turning to walk toward the office.
Vintor followed her.
"I think things might just be getting more interesting back in the States," Viktor informed as he walked into Jess' office.
Jess raised a curious brow, "What do you mean? Aiden's marrying Moon now?" She blinked slowly.
Viktor scoffed, "Wrong. Ken texted a lot of things this morning, he said that -"
"I'm not interested," She plopped down on her chair and rested her head against the headrest.
"If it's Kenneth, I don't want to hear about it," She rolled her eyes.
Vikotir sighed, "Hear me out first; yes, Ken was the one who texted me, but it's not entirely about him; it's about Ariel and Aiden...and Moon," He rubbed his face.
Jess sat up on her chair, drew herself closer to the table, and leaned her elbows on it, "I'm listening." She said slowly.
"Right...firstly, he mentioned the case between you and him," he paused and watched her reaction.
Jess frowned, "Well, go on," She glared at him.
Viktor nodded, "Ariel knows about you and Ken. But she forgives you and probably hates Ken now," He informed.
Jess smiled, "Really? Well, Kenneth deserves to be hated. Maybe I can reach out to Ariel now...you've got her contact?" She looked excited for the first time since Viktor found her.
He shook his head, "I can get it for you if you really want to," He said.
Jess nodded, "I'm serious this time, but is that all he said?" She grew very curious to know what was going on.
"Um, no. He said that Ariel suspects that Candy is not Aiden's child and Grandma -"
"Wait, wait, wait, hold the phone," Jess stood and walked over to the chair beside Viktor and lowered herself beside him.
She looked at him and asked, "You mean, that butch lied about Aiden sleeping with her?" She was agitated.
Viktor sighed, "I don't know, Jess, but if that child is really not Aiden's, then I'm going back to take my child," He looked determined.
Jess smirked, "I like where this is going; if it's really not Aiden's, Moon will end up with nothing; just like I warned, that girl thought Ariel would be a pushover; she never knew Ariel would fight her back to this length, and I'm here for it. If this is true, I'm going back. I'm going to rub it in her stupid face, I'd love to see the pain and regret in her face as she faces the same fate I faced. I want to see how she looks when she gets disowned by her lovely and protective family," She chuckled mischievously.
"Yeah...she asked for what was coming to her. But, there's no way I'm letting my child be raised by a crazy woman... if Candy is mine, I'm taking her away the moment I get to the States," He stated seriously.
Jess slowly tapped her feet on the floor, "I guess it's about time we get closure; I'm talking about getting closure with Ariel; I don't know about you," She smiled sadly.
Viktor slowly nodded, "I don't need closure with Moon. She made her choice, I have nothing else to do with her," He replied, staring seriously at Jess.
Their return was going to be based on the outcome of everything happening with Aiden, Ariel, and Moon.
Each of them had a different agenda but the same purpose: to make things right.
