Chapter One Hundred and Fifty Five
The second day arrived quickly and Fiona’s arrangement of minors competing amongst each other in dancing.
There are more professional singers and stage plays.
At the final stage of the competition, Fiona introduced a cliffhanger.
To make the event interesting and not just about competing and all, she had practised with Daisy in secret on a dance she could do to cheer the children on.
When the host introduced her and Daisy the crowd went in complete uproar and cheer.
Even Turner and Cassie had no idea about this.
Maxwell took out his phone to ask Matt what was going on
Max: Do you know about the dance*?
Matt: Yes, I do Ahn suggested it on the day he came to deliver the fabrics.
Max: I see, thanks.
He felt his heart constrict from pain. His ears sounded funny as the anger bubbled.
He never knew he was chatty with him to the extent of him suggesting dancing on stage without his knowledge.
He made the changes last night, Thompson puts in when he saw the change in his attitude.
But all Maxwell did was nod at him. He will 7strangle her he thought.
Fiona who was on the stage has never felt more exposed in her life. She didn’t know what she was thinking when she agreed to Ahn to do this part.
She hadn’t told Maxwell that she would be doing this because she wanted to make it a surprise to them all.
Perhaps has put it in such a way that made it sound so logical that she found it hard to say no to it in the first place and Daisy’s constant nagging made her agree to it.
All her thoughts flew away as the cue was called and she began dancing.
She wasn’t a professional dancer like Daisy but she had her own point. What more she had been practising.
Their dance brought the competition to a boiling point and people started wondering how a requiem could be played so beautifully and danced with so much sensation that their eyes watered at the very thought.
Maxwell on the other hand who was feeling jealous over the incident now watched from amusement to intrigue.
He had seen her dance once when she was taking the kids when Daisy wasn’t around but he had never seen her like this before.
Her movements were so fluid and the way she moved with Daisy made it seem like she was a pro in the game.
While they all watched it all play out, a figure entered that kept both Turner and Fiona on their nerves.
Fiona saw from the stage how she made her way to the audience stance and watched her with that smirk she had come to know.
For a moment her eyes flit to Turner who looked uncomfortable in his seat like she was.
Fiona didn’t know her actions had affected her dance differently and Daise had to improvise making it look as if it was all part of the dance.
Quickly recovering herself she continued the dance and when they finished they saw the excitement from the stage, the claps were so resounding and loud that even they felt overwhelmed.
When the stage died down, one of the judges stood up and gave a bow to them before picking up the microphone to speak.
“For years I have been from one competition to another judging and analyzing them but today, I felt regretful that I cannot reward such a beautiful piece while still happy that I have the privilege of witnessing such a sensational performance.
Ms Williams has shown her competence in and outside of the stage, it is a pity that she wasn’t willing to take up the stage and be a professional ballet but then we have another magic on the stage, he said the last line with a smile.
Ms Daisy, the man called her name with admiration, I was hoping that when you don’t teach the children from the community you can perhaps agree to be my student, we can work on an agreement and you will be moving straight to the big stage.
Daisy at first did not understand what he meant. The man Mr Patrick Law, a renowned pianist, violinist and ballet dancer and owner of the best conservatory of arts in the whole of Newyork was willing to be her tutor and take her to the next stage.
That is all her dream in one package. She gave a look at who was smiling a her with tears in her eyes. You deserve it Daisy now take a stance and accept the man, he seems nervous enough, she said.
Yes, Daisy said with a smile of her own and the whole stage hoots in merry.

After that day's competition, Fiona went to look for Turner but was stopped by a jealous Maxwell.
We need to talk, he said with a restrained annoyance, not now she said to him. Have you seen Turner? She asked.
No, what’s more, important with him than what I have to say to you?
Fiona who was already feeling agitated with the person she saw stopped to look at him with a blank face.
But Maxwell didn’t back away, he instead backed up his annoyance, you got angry if I do things you don’t like and yet you constantly do things that make me jealous.
I told you severally that I don’t like seeing you and Ahn together and now you gave in to him when he requested you to dance while letting me know, he barked.
So, this is what this is about, Fiona thought.
I don’t have time for this, she set to move past him in search of Turner but Maxwell was not moved.
Running off to meet another while I am right in front of you, he said with every bit of jealousy coating his voice.
You neglected my words, disregarded me and then ran off with another man when I needed you.
Fiona on a different day would have apologised to avoid trouble but she wasn’t in the mood to humour him.
You know what your problem is Max, she snapped.
You never stop to think about what you do or what your actions would cause. Sometimes I wonder how someone with a very high IQ behaves like a child just like you.
No, you don’t behave like a child, you are one and it offends me to think that after all we’ve been through together you still doubt my intentions towards you.
A pity though, but you won’t pin your insecurities on me and as you can see I am in no mood to listen to your petty tantrums, I need to see Turner.
And she left him there to skew.
When she found Turner, she asked immediately, did you see her?
