Matthias POV
Driving into my garage, I closed the door behind me and went to the door on the right-hand side. Shirley was there immediately, taking my suit while my Chefs ushered me to the kitchen area for dinner. Khalid and Galen said their goodbyes to me leaving me with Josie.
There was a different vibe from her because she didn't look pleased when I gave her a forehead kiss. Usually, she would get goosebumps and her eyes would lighten with a sparkle. Her head would be down in shyness and I could continue to kiss her uncontrollably on her forehead.
But, nothing happened.
''Long day with the boys?'' I joked while the Chefs put Shirmp Alfredo on the tables with glasses of champagne and water.
''Yeah, I guess,'' she said in a dull tone.
''Josie, are you--'''
''I'm fine, I just had a long day.''
''Did you?''
''Yes, Matthias, I did,'' she retorts and glares at me.
Jesus, is she on her period? Or what?
''- And no, I'm not on my period,'' she claps back.
''I wasn't even thinking about that.''
''You were about to ask.''
I scoffed. ''Okay, yeah. Maybe. Listen, if I did something wrong please tell me, alright.''
''Destiny," she blurted.
''I'm sorry... what?''
''Destiny, your ex.''
''Yeah, obviously I know who Destiny is Josie, what did she say? what did she do?''
''I think I'm getting full, I'm gonna go take a bath.''
''Seriously, Josie,'' I stood up immediately from my seat and crossed my arms. ''Speak to me right now, we're adults here.''
She takes a step closer. Our eyes met and I could sense her anger fuming all over her body. She's mad, I mean extremely. She is agitated and I don't know why or how it all happened. The thought of Destiny placed me in a despite mood, I wondered what really happened between the two.
''Goodnight Matthias,'' She whispers and walks away from me.
Anger boiled through my veins and throughout my mind and I shouted her name. ''Josie! Josie! JOSEPHINE?!
''What the fuck?'' I whispered.
''Sir,''
''--What?'' I snapped and placed my hand in my heart quickly to see Shirley right next to me. ''Sorry, Shirley.''
''It's alright.''
''Do you know what's going on?''
''I think you should see it yourself.''
''Myself? What the hell does that even mean?''
''She saw something disturbing on her laptop, maybe you should see it yourself.''
''Check her laptop?'' I whispered in a questionable tone after Shirley leaves.
What could possibly be in Josie's laptop that got her mad?
Was it an Email?
An Imessage text?
A file from Google Drive?
Whatever it is, I had to figure it out and see what her madness is about. Maybe it's understanding why she's fucking mad at me.

Josie POV
*two hours earlier*
I clicked on a file that was sent to me this morning.
It wasn't just a video.
It was a sex tape.
''Matthias faster...''
''Matthias harder...''
''Oh, you make do it so good, yes baby, please make me cum.''
His dick was thrusting through Destiny's vagina in a rapid motion and I could feel my anxiety flaring through the roof.
My own glare was the only message that I needed. Nothing I said afterward registered in my mind; it was like watching a movie on mute.
I knew. I knew. That was all I needed to know.
I didn't even know where to start. I had no doubt that Matthias loved me.
And wasn't that the point?
If he cared about me, and he showed it or said it, wasn't it ridiculous to think that he had some secret woman on the side that explained the emotional and physical distance I felt?
All of those things he said to me, I thought it'd be true but I guess not.
It was more than crying, it was the kind of desolate sobbing that comes from a person drained of all hope. I sank to my knees at the bottom of the floor.
Everything was just gone. I paused trying to hold back the strange feelings rumbling inside me, the tears flowed unchecked down my cheeks and dripped from my chin in one fluid motion.
''I'm so stupid,'' I whispered to myself.
