Chapter 306 The Appearance of Someone from the Past
Two Years Later
Eve was very beautiful today with her hair in a bun and a flower on her left side making her look like an angel. Eve was wearing her favorite color light blue with the same underwear and an organdy-like material with flowers embroidered on the outside.
Eve smiled and waved to Narti that she wanted to walk along the beach to avoid the crowd. She hasn't liked crowds, actually, since two years ago. Since...
But today is the happy day of her best friend, Narti and Tom. Yep, today is Narti's wedding day and Eve is the bridesmaid. Eve originally refused to attend, but Narti is her only friend. Narti has helped her through everything. From their growing company, to accompanying Eve with her loneliness. Including when...
Allan left her.
"Puff!" Eve let out her breath remembering what happened two years ago.
After Allan regained consciousness Allan found out that his right leg could not be moved and Allan was declared paralyzed.
Allan couldn't accept it, he always looked gloomy afterwards but Eve was always here with him, encouraging him. Eve never once left Allan's side.
Until finally...Allan chose to leave!
Allan chose to leave her!
When Eve returned to the hospital on the morning of the fourth day, Allan was not there! The room was clean! The hospital only informed her that Allan had checked out of the hospital and no one was asked about where Allan had gone!
Not Tom, Grandpa, or Alberto! Either they lied or they didn't know, it was all a mystery. It was like they were hiding something. Eve finally got tired of asking questions and chose to remain silent.
But what was even funnier was that Bert hadn't shown up since then either. Allan's company was held by Tom, assisted by Robert and Alberto and of course supervised by Allan's grandfather.
As for Eve? She is more focused on her 'Queen Furniture & Interior' company.
The 'Bali Sensation' project has also been completed and was inaugurated a few months ago.
Eve had attended just to honor Grandpa Allan, nothing more. Seeing the place made her heart ache even more! The next day Eve chose to return to Wellington.
Eve gazed at the beautiful décor of her best friend's wedding which was held at a resort by the pool which pushed towards the view of the ocean behind her.
This was the resort in Bali where Eve had been on her honeymoon. It has its own beach and seems private. Bulgari Resort & Hotel in Uluwatu Bali.
Narti wanted to celebrate her wedding in her birthplace and also the place where she first worked! That was her reason.
'A strange reason, isn't it? Why this place anyway?' The place that made Eve remember the sweet and bitter memories of someone who was very close to her in the past.
Allan Watson.
Eve smiled sadly, and sighed many times. It was as if everyone didn't want her to forget everything about Allan Watson!
Eve patted her cheek as she said. "Wake up Eve, Allan never wanted you! The proof is that he left you alone for two years! He doesn't care about you!"
Eve looked down and then picked up something from her feet and threw it into the ocean.
Eve sat on the floor, looking at the sunset that would soon appear. Eve had always loved sunsets. Eve walked a little far away from where Narti and Tom's party was held.
Eve lay down on the white sand and closed her eyes for a moment. The beach breeze blew away some of her loose hair ties.
Tears came out from the corner of her eyes. Eve was crying. Suddenly she remembered Allan.
This place always made her think of memories of Allan.
Unconsciously, Eve, who was still closing her eyes, said, "Why did you leave me, Allan! What did I do wrong to you?"
Eve then sat back down and picked up a large rock, and threw it into the ocean while shouting with her hand next to her mouth, "I Hate You, Allan!!! I hate you!!!"
Eve began to feel claustrophobic from the outpouring of emotions and her chest began to rise and fall.
"Really? You hate me, Eve?"
Someone with a heavy voice that she knew very well said, Eve looked back she was shocked, her eyes bulged. But then switched the look of hatred on her beautiful face.
Eve moved to get away from there by walking in the previous direction because the road led to the Resort but her feet slipped embedded in the beach sand and Eve began to sway and then fell on the lap of the man who turned out to be in a wheelchair. And the man held Eve's waist tightly to prevent them from falling.
"Akkhhh!!! Let go of me!" Eve screamed.
"Why is your voice getting shrill! Why don't you change, Eve? Always so careless! Hey! I didn't ask you to sit on my lap, did I? You dropped yourself in my wheelchair! Get up Eve, you're so heavy!" the person shouted.
Eve looked at the person with emotion, glaring, "What did you say? I'm heavy?"
The person, who was amused, kissed Eve instead, because Eve's sitting position made it easy for her to do so.
Eve glares and glares even more, "You...!"
Eve quickly got up from the lap of the man who turned out to be none other than Allan.
Eve, who was angry, annoyed, grumbling all in one, walked in the opposite direction instead of heading towards the resort where there were stairs but further away.
"Eve!" called the man.
Eve turned her head and glared, "What? Don't call me!"
Eve was about to walk back when Allan chuckled at Eve's funny behavior.
"I'm sure...the way to the Resort is not that way Eve! It's the other way round! This way! Well unless...you want to get eaten by a shark, of course!" Allan said, covering his mouth.
"Huh? What? S-shark?" Eve, who was panicking, quickly ran towards Allan and unconsciously pushed Allan's wheelchair. But because the wheelchair was on sand and Allan's large weight compared to Eve naturally made it difficult for Eve.
Eve then tiptoed slightly in fear.
"How is this, Come on, Allan! Get up! We'll be chased by sharks! Come on!"
Eve unconsciously held Allan's big hand on his shoulder and tried to carry him.
Eve almost reached the top of the stairs leading to the Resort, but Eve frowned feeling that there was something strange here. 'Why doesn't he feel any weight at all? Isn't Allan paralyzed? When she looked down Eve saw Allan putting his feet on the beach and holding back a laugh?
Annoyed, Eve released her embrace making Allan fall almost to the stairs.
"Are you playing me, Allan? Silly me! There are no sharks on the beach! And...are you able to walk? Do you deliberately want to play me, Allan? Are you satisfied, making me suffer for two wait for it..three years? Or you deliberately want to get back at me, because for three also I left you first! Is that right, Allan? Well, you did it! Bravo..bravo..!"'Sadly Eve clapped her hands with a sad smile. Her tears began to fall.
"Eve! Wait a minute! That's not how it happened! Eve help me! My leg..hmm...hasn't fully healed yet! I can't walk as smoothly as I used to! I..." Allan said again.
Eve stared sarcastically, "I don't believe it! The proof is that you were walking, right? How stupid am I! You've always fooled me so much! But not anymore!"
Eve then climbed the stairs to the Resort, she had already decided to return today and right now to Wellington! She was sure everyone was conspiring against her, especially Tom and Narti; there was no way they wouldn't know, right? How could they not!
But then when she was almost touching the Resort someone shouted and there was...
BUGH!!!
"Akhhhh!!!"
Eve turned around and looked down the stairs, "Allan!!!"
