Chapter 12

Jacob, the butler, stepped up right away, opened the car door with a bow, and said, "Ms. Lola Medici, you're finally back for summer break! With you here, this place will be lively again."

Lola got out of the car, looking stunning with her delicate skin and slender figure. Her hair was pinned back, showing off her lovely forehead, and her clear eyes sparkled with confidence.

A bunch of servants started hauling her luggage into the house, with Jacob trailing right behind her.

"Ms. Lola Medici, you've been so busy with your entrance exams lately, I didn't want to bother you. Now that the exams are over and you're back from your trip with friends, I finally get to talk to you," Jacob said, lowering his voice.

"What is it?" Lola asked.

Lola had always been pretty average-looking, but growing up pampered, she had that rich-girl vibe. Even her voice had a touch of pride and nobility.

Today, she was rocking a fluffy dress with layered skirts that made her look even more elegant. She had a fancy clutch and jewelry, looking like a beauty nurtured by endless money and skincare products.

"It's just..." Jacob started, but Lola noticed a bunch of strangers in the garden, hanging up loads of beautiful clothes and bags on display racks, getting ready to bring them inside.

Some servants were blowing up balloons and hanging star lights on the trees, with Maria helping and directing.

Maria was basically Lola's personal servant.

She'd been with Lola since she was a baby because after Kimberly had five sons, she didn't have the energy for Lola.

Maria had fed her formula, put her to sleep, and stayed by her side. In this house, Maria only had to take care of Lola.

So Maria's status was a bit higher than the other servants, and their relationship was like mother and daughter.

Seeing her, Lola lit up with a big smile, "Maria!"

"Ms. Lola Medici is back?" Maria's smile widened as she quickly approached, "Finally, I get to see you! I told you not to stay at school, but you didn't listen. Look, you've lost so much weight in just a month!"

"Didn't Maria lose weight too? Did you lose weight from missing me?" Lola teased.

"You silly child!" Maria laughed, looking her over again, "Well, you've lost some weight, but you've become even more beautiful!"

Lola smiled sweetly, looking at the busy people, "Is this a surprise from Mom and Dad?"

Seeing that Lola had been busy with her entrance exams, did they want to reward her? Or did they think that after the exams, Lola was now an adult and wanted to throw her a coming-of-age ceremony? Or maybe they wanted to congratulate her in advance for getting into Innovation University?

Whatever the reason, such a grand scene made Lola happy. Girls all loved beautiful clothes, shoes, and bags, especially when so many limited editions were suddenly prepared, and the scene was set up.

Indeed, her parents spoiled her the most!

Even though she had five older brothers, her parents' love for her was no less than for her brothers.

Maria's expression turned a bit awkward at these words.

"I'll go take a look," Lola said, still delighted.

But Maria quickly called out, "Ms. Lola Medici, those things are not for you."

Lola glanced at Jacob, both of them not wanting to burst her bubble.

But Maria had the authority to speak up.

"Maria, I get it. You probably didn't expect me to fly back early on a friend's plane. I know you haven't finished setting up the scene. It's cool, I'll pretend I didn't see anything. You guys carry on." Lola said, walking into the house with a smile.

She was the only girl in this house. If these things weren't for her, who else could they be for?

Her parents must be planning a surprise for her, and the servants were just too scared to admit it.

Lola walked into the main hall, where dozens of display racks were neatly arranged. Every dress and bag seemed tailor-made for her.

Walking among the display racks, Lola felt happiness spreading in her heart.

Maria wanted to explain but, seeing Lola's happy face, she couldn't bear to shatter her illusion.

Meanwhile, Abella had just finished her tasks and was about to rest when there was a knock on the door.

Lauren's respectful voice came from outside, "Ms. Abella Medici, Mr. Medici and Mrs. Medici request your presence in the garden."

Abella understood the surprise was ready.

She closed the door and obediently followed Lauren to the garden. As soon as she reached the garden entrance, the lights of the entire villa suddenly went out.

Three seconds later, the lights came back on, illuminating a dreamy scene.

"Ms. Abella Medici, please proceed," Lauren said, bowing and gesturing.

Abella walked into the garden, where various trees were adorned with beautiful star lights, countless pastel-colored balloons floated in the air, and colorful streamers fell from the sky.

Was this surprise for her?

Abella had never received such a surprise from Jeff and Skylar growing up, but now she could feel the affection from her biological parents.

Inside the house, Lola saw this scene and was momentarily stunned. Why hadn't anyone informed her before releasing the streamers? But it was perfect; this scene would get thousands of likes on social media.

She was about to go to the garden to take some photos when she noticed Beckett and Kimberly running out ahead of her, joyfully shouting, "Sweetheart."

Lola couldn't help but lower her head shyly, smiling. Her parents had never called her with such affection before. Had they missed her so much after not seeing her for so many days? Did they think she was in the garden and ran out to greet her?

What they didn't know was that Lola was still inside the house!

Lola's face lit up with a happy smile as she walked to the garden, only to see Beckett and Kimberly holding another girl's hand affectionately.

The girl had a slender figure and skin as delicate as polished glass. Unlike Lola's skin, which was maintained with countless skincare products, this girl's skin was more natural and radiant, glowing from within.

As they got closer, Lola noticed that the girl was dressed plainly but had extremely striking features, with a delicate face that bore some resemblance to Kimberly.

A gust of wind blew, making the girl's hair dance in the breeze. Her ethereal appearance was like that of a fairy, otherworldly and stunning.

Why was there such a guest in the house? Lola wondered, noticing how Beckett and Kimberly seemed particularly attentive to her.
