Chapter 88: Reinventing the Time Loop

Chapter 88: Reinventing the Time Loop
“What the fuck just happened? Where’s Georgia? Pierce! Why’d you knock me over the head and throw me in a closet?” Alexander was yelling. Once he came to, he realized he was locked in a broom closet. He banged on the door until Pierce, and a maid came to unlock the door.
“I’ve been in my room, man.”
“Bull shit! You were just at my room!”
“Seriously, Rosemary and I were in our room. And then we heard yelling and came out to see what was happening. Luckily, Sherry was here and she had a key to…”
“Georgia’s been taken by Stark and we need to all go to the kitchen to see if she’s written a hidden message!” Frankie yelled frantically. “Her room is gone! Disappeared. We’re in a time loop and the elixir is almost done so we can all drink it and keep our memories.”
“What?” They all looked up to see Frankie running down the hall.
“Notes in my pockets.” She said out of breath once she made it to them.
“I am not excited about the elixir.” Max stated behind her out of breath as well.
“We need to go to the kitchen and I need to check on the elixir. We should be able to drink it soon so we’ll be ready for the next time loop.”
“How long are the time loops?” Pierce asked.
“Not long. Seems like only three maybe four hours. We can’t do anything else until we find these notes and have all taken the elixir and I don’t know how long Stark plans on keeping this loop going. Let’s go!”

“Every good strong couple learns to compromise. We are no different. When you wake up, I’ll let you know that if you agree to become my mate, then Alexander will not be harmed. If you choose not to, well, they’ll all die. Alexander was never worthy of you anyways. You’re far too great for him. And lucky for me you wanted me so badly that you listened to everything I told you to do. You were always such a good girl. I need you to continue to be my good girl, Georgia. Even when you betrayed me, you left me clues. Here I am rambling when you need to rest. Get a good night’s sleep, and we’ll talk about everything when you wake up. I’ll be back soon.”
He leaned down and gave her another kiss on her forehead then got up and left the room.
She heard the door shut, click then lock behind him. ‘Why would he lock the door?’
Georgia laid there in silence staring at the ceiling thinking of all he had said to her… and it all sounded so familiar. Like she had heard it in a dream or a déjà vu… And then she realized…
“We’re in a time loop.” She could feel herself whisper. She wiggled a finger and smiled internally from the progress. “It starts when he shuts the door after he and Alexander leave. Oh, Alexander. I miss him. He can’t die. He can’t leave me. I won’t let this happen to him or my friends. Goddess, please help me.” She could feel her mind waking up from the bad dream it was thrown into. “He remembers, so I can’t just run from him before he poisons me. But it starts before he comes back. Hopefully I remember and don’t breathe in when he puts the handkerchief over my face. That might lessen this paralysis. Or shorten it… How long have I been here?”
She tried to move her head to look at the clock on the nightstand. After what felt like forever, she finally saw the time. The clock read 11:55.
‘It must end at midnight.’ She thought. ‘Now I just have to wait and see.’ She closed her eyes and started to think of how she could get out of this situation. If she remembers in the next loop, she’ll also have to remember what she says so that Stark doesn’t catch on that she knows…

He leaned down and gave her another kiss on her forehead then got up and left the room.
She heard the door shut, click then lock behind him. This time she didn’t breathe in deeply when he put the cloth over her face. Just enough to still be limp in his arms.  She tried to move but still had trouble… she knew she had to find the key and it had to be in this room. Did he walk in with anything? Did he put anything down inside of the room?
‘Come on Georgia! Think!’ she yelled at herself in her mind.
Things had been too good. Too quiet. She knew that Stark would try something eventually and she knew that since everyone was getting comfortable, he’d be successful. She just didn’t know it would be kidnapping her. She hoped that everyone would find the information she wrote in the kitchen. She knew that he would destroy her notes somehow. Whatever his plan may be.

“Lexy, did you write that down?”
“Yes!”
“Are you sure? Did you get it all?”
“Yes, Alexander. I’m sure.”
“Frankie, how much time do we have until the loop?”
“Five minutes.”
“Ok. Once you all get me out of the broom closet, we come here to the kitchen to decipher Georgia’s notes.”
“Got it. And everyone has taken the elixir?” Pierce asked.
Everyone nodded.
“What do we do now?” Lexy asked as she put the pen down and looked at the notes she had been dictating.
“Wait to see if we’re still in the loop.”
“Four minutes.” Max stated.
They all stood around looking at each other.
“This is going to work, right?” Alexander asked hopeful.
“It’s going to have to. We only have 3 hours. If it doesn’t…” Frankie stopped speaking.
“It’s going to work.” Rosemary reassured everyone. “We just need this time loop to happen 2 more times and we’ll be golden.”
