Chapter 51 I want to go home
Chapter 51 I want to go home
Omniscient Narrative
With each passing day-it has been three days-, Aries settled into a routine. He would bring food, care for Kai's needs, and every action was performed with great intention and care, the shorter man would curse him out.
"Time for your meal," he would announce, lifting the lid of a quaint dining tray covered in a warm cloth. The delicacies resembled what Kai used to eat at home—familiar, comforting—but now tainted by the dread of captivity.
Aries would sometimes pull a chair close to the glass box and sit there for hours, just watching Kai, as if he were a fragile piece of art—it engulfed him in a sense of suffocation. "You're so beautiful," he would whisper reverently. "I need you to know that, to see that, Vincent doesn't deserve you, you're too good for that bastard Kai."
Those moments were both unsettling and passionate, leaving Kai reeling. Sometimes he'd speak softly, asking questions like "What do you want from me?" but Aries would simply answer about his love, his unwavering commitment to shielding Kai from the world that could hurt him.
At night, when the weight of silence blanketed them, Aries would find comfort in bathing Kai. He would fill a basin with warm water, inviting him to relax despite efforts to resist.
"I'll take care of you," he murmured, washing away the dirt of the day, hands deft as they glided over Kai's skin, efforts borne of obsession masked under the guise of intimacy.
Each touch felt invasive and comforting all at once, spiraling Kai into a whirlwind of confusion.
.
Kai found little comfort within the fragile walls he inhabited. The glass box became a reflection of the internal struggle manifesting within him.
Each time Aries treated him like a fragile thing, he couldn't help but feel a little good.
"Why do you force this on me?" Kai asked one day through the glass, his voice trembling.
"I do it because I love you more than anyone else ever could," Aries replied earnestly, leaning closer, his breath fogging the glass. "I can't let you go. You belong to me."
.
"Do you ever think about escape?" he would whisper, stuck between yearning for freedom and the terror of being caught.
Aries would shake his head, eyes filled with a mix of longing and obsession. "I'd find you, Kai. You can't run or hide from me."
"Why is it that you love me so much?" Kai asked, he was stuck here, he might as well make the best out of it.
"Because you're perfection," Aries claimed, his voice soft and seductive, penetrating through Kai's barriers. "You're the most beautiful thing I've ever encountered. I want to keep you safe—for all time. The world can't harm you here."
"So you don't love me" Kai whispered making Aries look at him with a confused look.
"Huh?" He asked the shorter man.
"You don't love me, Aries, you never have and you never will" Kai sighed before he turned his back to Aries and rested on the glass wall.
The loneliness pressed heavily, heavy like the dark blanket of night surrounding them. Each echo from the outside world made Kai feel smaller, as if the walls constricting him were growing tighter, endlessly suffocating.
.
One night, Kai found the courage to confront the transforming feelings clawing within him. "What will it take for you to let me go?" he whispered through the haunted silence, defiance creeping back into his voice.
Aries regarded him solemnly, a shadow flickering across his features. "I can't let you leave, Kai. My love for you lives in every heartbeat. What happens when you step out there? I will always see you and love you—even if our worlds collide in chaos. It's just not safe for you." "Yet"
"I just want to go home".
"Do you think I could ever belong to you?" Kai would tease through the glass, veiled intrigue hidden beneath the defiance.
"Always," Aries would reply firmly, his gaze unwavering. "You're my purpose. No one else can ever understand what we share."
"We don't share anything, we never had and we never will"
"I wish I never met you" Kai spoke with so much hatred, his eyes stared into the light colored ones of his kidnapper.
Aries leaned closer, whispering in reverence of Kai's beauty. "You're made for greatness, and you don't mean that, I'm the best thing that ever happened to you"
"You think that? Holding someone hostage is hardly love! And what gave you that idea"
"If it means I get you forever, then yes"
"Get used to this life Kai, it will be how you'll be spending it for as long as you live. You're all mine"
.......
Meanwhile;
"Hello" Aries answered the call as he prepared dinner for Kai.
"It's all done man, they're all at the location" he heard the other man on the phone say. A smirk found its way to his face as he stirred the pot.
"Did you remember to rough them up a bit?" He asked, his tone serious.
"Yeah, I had the guys do a number on them, you'll be very impressed when you see them" the other man assured.
"I'll take your words for it, thank you, you'll get your money soon" he then hung up the call.
His plan was going according to how he had planned it.
Joey:
Hey Aries, Austin and I are going to start the search tomorrow, we've looked but we haven't seen him, so we will continue tomorrow, do you want to tag along?
Ace:
Sure man, anything to help man and tell Austin everything is fine, we'll find him.
