23. Two-faced Woman

"How is it? Do you like working here?" Sam asked me.

Sam just came into my room, it's lunchtime, so Sam is taking a break from his work.

"I think it's fun. I haven't worked here for a day yet. It's only been a few hours. And so far I really like this job." I replied with a smile.

"Ana! Let's go eat!" Sam and I immediately looked at the door to see who was coming into my office, even though we already knew who it was.

"Eat? Lunch in the wild?" I asked Leo who had just come in and sat himself down on the sofa.

"Of course. We're eating at an Italian restaurant, how about it? Do you want to?" Leo asked me.

I smiled faintly. "Sorry, but I'm not in the mood to go out. I think I'm in the mood for pizza delivery."

I wasn't in the mood to go out of the office. Rose really managed to ruin my mood a bit.

"Pizza? I think that's good too. Why don't we just deliver pizza according to what you want. I haven't had pizza in a while." Leo asked me.

"Is that okay? You said you wanted to eat at an Italian restaurant. You can go alone, or go with Sam." I felt bad for Leo.

Leo smiled widely. "Why do you feel guilty? Pizza is Italian too. What's wrong with delivery anyway? I think it's more bain delivery, so we can use our time to rest and relax while waiting for the food to arrive."

I smiled, Leo was really very kind. Leo is a good guy who is very sincere.

"Alright, I'll order." Sam said suddenly.

Perhaps Sam was fed up with me and Leo wasting time, in the end Sam ordered lunch for us.

"Okay, I've ordered. Pizza and spicy fried chicken." After finishing ordering the food, Sam immediately made sure to put his cell phone back in his pocket.

"Are you having trouble?" Leo asked me.

"No, nothing is difficult. I'm still having fun with my work so far." I answered honestly.

"Good then. I'm not worried about you," Leo said.

"What about the meeting tomorrow? Do we both have to go? Can't just you go?" Leo asked Sam.

Right now Sam and Leo were sitting side by side on the sofa, and I was sitting on the opposite sofa.

"Are you crazy? Why do you always want to avoid important work?" Sam asked Leo.

"Hey! Watch your mouth! Since when did I dodge important work? I'm just asking you. If it's going to be just you, it'd better be you. I have a lot of other work that I need to finish as soon as possible." Leo explained to Sam the reason for asking.

"You can't. You and I, we have to attend that important meeting." Sam emphasized to Leo that Leo had to go to the meeting tomorrow.

Leo sighed. "Order me some cold coffee. I'm so tired and sleepy." It seemed like Leo was a little frustrated because of the amount of work he had to do.

"Am I your maid?" asked Sam irritably.

"No need to fight. Let me get you guys some coffee." I took the initiative to get coffee for Sam and Leo.

"No need. Let my secretary do it." Sam immediately prevented me from going to get coffee.

I sat back down after Sam said that.

Sam took out his cell phone, then he immediately called Rose.

"Please get coffee for me and Leo, you can take it to Ana's room." Sam got straight to the point when he spoke to Rose on the phone.

Sam looked at me. His gestures indicated what I wanted to order.

"I'll have a cold soda. I want to drink something fresh," I told Sam.

"One cold soda. Bring it to Ana's room immediately, don't be long." After saying that Sam immediately cut off the call unilaterally.

"Why did you send Rose, Sam? Aren't there plenty of specialized employees you can send to provide all the food and drinks you want?" I asked Sam. I had a feeling with his answer.

"Because Rose already knows my and Leo's favorite drinks. Natasya also knows and understands about mine and Leo's drinks and food. So Rose and Natasya won't make any mistakes." Sam explained to me.

I nodded in understanding.

"You can also tell Natasya and Rose what food and drinks you like. They're good at that." Leo interrupted my and Sam's conversation.

I smiled awkwardly. "There's no need. I can handle myself."

"Natasya and Rose are also very fast. They're really reliable. Just look, in a matter of 5, I'm sure Rose is already here." Leo looked at the door that was still closed.

"One... two... three... four--"

At the count of four, I heard someone knocking in front of my room.

"Right? What I say is always true. Just look, Rose is really coming." Leo smiled proudly at his success in guessing Rose's arrival.

Rose walked into my room after knocking on the door.

Rose was seen carrying a tray containing two glasses of cold coffee and a soda drink.

Rose smiled kindly as she entered my office.

Rose began to place the two coffees in front of Leo and Sam.

Then Rose walked over to me. Rose came closer to me.

"Aaaaaa!!!"

"What's wrong?" Leo immediately asked with a panicked face when he heard my cry of pain. Leo didn't even drink his coffee, he put his cup back on the table.

"It's nothing. I'm just grimacing in pain. My leg suddenly cramped up." I lied so that Leo and Sam wouldn't suspect what was happening right now.

Yes, right now. Rose is currently standing next to me. She's deliberately stepping on my foot with her high heels. It really hurts a lot. But I can't possibly tell Sam and Leo this.

"Here's a cold soda. In this weather, it's good to drink something fresh. Enjoy your lunch hour." Rose smiled kindly at me.

"There's no doubt about it, Rose. Besides being smart, she's very kind and friendly. Sam didn't choose the wrong secretary." Leo praised Rose.

Rose smiled sweetly. "Mr. Leo can do it. I'm just doing my job, sir." Rose bowed her head slightly, saluting Leo.

"If Mr. Sam and Mr. Leo have any needs, what would they like to eat this afternoon, I can help bring some delicious food for Mr. Sam and Mr. Leo's lunch menu." Rose did not stop smiling kindly at Leo and Sam.

Then Rose looked at me. "If Ms. Ana also wants something, you can tell me. I'll get it for you." Rose smiled kindly at me.

I smiled slightly, seeing Rose like this made me a little queasy.

"Then excuse me back to my room. I have a lot of work to do. If you want anything, you can contact me directly." Rose bowed to Sam, Leo, and me before she left my office.

"Don't keep working. You should think about your body. Take a break and have lunch." Sam said as Rose walked out of the room.

Rose paused for a moment, then turned to Sam and bowed slightly again. "Thank you, sir." After that Rose immediately left my room.

"What a two-faced woman. She's so good at acting." I grumbled to myself. I felt a little annoyed when I saw Rose acting good in front of Sam and Leo. But Rose wasn't that nice. What a two-faced human being.
