22. I Don't Want to Compete.

"Introductions, this is Natasya, my secretary." Leo introduced Natasya to me.

I smiled kindly to greet Natasya.

"Natasya is really beautiful. She looks very attractive. I'm sure she must be very smart." I said to myself.

"This is Rose, my secretary." Now it was Sam's turn to introduce his secretary to me.

"Oh my God. Why are these two women in front of me so beautiful and attractive? I'm sure they're very intelligent so they can work with Sam and Leo." I said to myself, I was really insecure, feeling like I was nothing compared to these two.

"You guys please guide Ana well." Sam spoke to Rose and Natasya.

"Ana, if you have any questions, ask Rose and Natasya," Sam continued speaking to me.

I smiled slightly. "Okay," I said.

"I'll leave you to it. I have a lot of work to do." Leo said goodbye to Ana.

"I also have a lot of work to do today. I have a lot of documents to check." Sam also said goodbye like Leo.

I smiled, then nodded in understanding. "Don't worry, I'll be fine." I said to Leo and Sam.

Leo and Sam smiled back at me. After that, Leo and Sam walked out of my room.

After Sam and Leo left, I was left with Natasya and Rose.

"Wow... your room is really pretty. It's even better than mine." Rose looked around my workspace.

Rose walked over to my desk, then she sat herself down on my chair. "Wow... it feels so comfortable. It's even more comfortable than the desk and chair in my office." Rose crossed her legs, then looked at me with a gaze that was difficult for me to interpret.

"That's great of you. You can accept a room this nice. Even though you've just started working. I thought this was the room for Mr. Leo or Mr. Sam, but they didn't use it because they already had their own rooms. And now they're giving it to you. Wow, you're doing great." Rose complimented me, telling me I was great. But to me it wasn't a compliment, it was an insinuation.

Really, I felt bad. I felt like Rose was blatantly insinuating me.

"I'll take my leave first. I have a lot to do." Natasya suddenly spoke, breaking the silence and my thoughts of Rose.

I smiled kindly. "Alright. Thank you for coming."

Natasya smiled back at me. "Call me if you have any trouble or questions about work." Natasya was really friendly to me.

I smiled widely. "Thank you for your concern." I bowed slightly as a sign of respect for Natasya.

After that Natasya immediately left my office. Now there was only me and Rose in my office.

Rose looked at me with her sharp gaze. She was still sitting cross-legged on my chair.

"How did you get here? What did you do to get in this room?" Rose asked me.

"What do you mean?" I asked a little confused.

"Did you sell your body to Mr. Sam and Mr. Leo so that you could get this position? So that you could work here?" Rose asked me.

I was surprised when Rose said that. I really couldn't believe that Rose would say such nonsense.

"Why are you talking like that? You're not polite. Your words can really hurt other people." I reprimanded Rose.

Rose smiled wryly at me. "No need to pretend to be nice. Just tell me. What did you do to get here? You really gave your body for free to Mr. Leo and Mr. Sam in return, didn't you?" Rose accused me again.

"I know very well how Mr. Sam and Mr. Leo are. They are both very cold people, even during the time I worked they were never interested and cared about the people around them except about work. How did you come to be with Mr. Leo and Mr. Sam, and get their attention? What did you do?" Rose asked me again.

"Or did you do some magic to make Mr. Sam and Mr. Leo interested in you?" Rose accused me. Her words cornered me even more.

"I'm sure your skills won't match mine or Natasya's. I'm sure you're not capable of doing a good job. You don't have the brainpower of me and Natasya. And you're not a top university graduate like me and Natasya." Rose underestimated me.

Really, my heart ached to hear everything Rose said.

"Why are you so angry with me? I haven't done anything bad to you." I asked Rose.

"If you think I'm your rival, then you're wrong. I just want to work, I don't want to be competed by anyone." I tried to explain to Rose.

"I know you are great, smart, you are able to do your job well. But please leave me alone, I'll do my best by myself. Please don't underestimate me. I am capable of doing a good job." I believe in myself.

Rose smiled wryly. "Why do you believe in yourself so much, dear? Are you sure you're capable of doing this job?"

"You're better suited to being a cleaner than working and getting a fancy room like this." Rose underestimated me again.

"The position that Mr. Sam and Mr. Leo gave you won't last long. Because you won't be able to run it well." Rose smiled dismissively at me. Then after that Rose left my office.

After Rose left, I sat down at my desk. Staring at all the documents on my desk.

"Is it true what Rose said? I don't belong here?" I started to doubt myself.

"Am I capable of doing this job?"

"I think I'm more suited to be an office cleaner like Rose said. Even when compared to Rose and Natasya I'm nothing, so much different." Rose really managed to destroy my confidence.

I was silent, thinking about everything Rose had just said. Until the sound of the phone ringing broke my reverie.

"Hello, Ana. How is it? Are you comfortable? Are there any problems? Are you okay?"

I raised one eyebrow. "Leo?" I asked.

"Yes. I'm Leo. How are you? Are you comfortable? Are there any problems? If there's anything you don't know, ask me. Feel free to come to my room. My room is always open for you." Leo was very attentive to me.

I smiled as I listened to Leo being so worried about me.

"Ana, if something is bothering you, just tell me," Leo said.

"No, no. I'm comfortable here, nothing bothers me here." I lied, I didn't want Leo to know what Rose was doing to me.

"Ana, remember what Sam and I said. Never compare yourself to others. Don't look right and left, just focus on yourself. Trust me, you'll be the best if you focus on yourself." Leo advised me, reminding me not to be insecure.

I smiled, feeling very comfortable hearing Leo's words just now.

"Thank you for reminding me, I will always remember all your words." I thanked Leo.

"Alright. Call me if you need anything. I'll hang up first, I have to get to work. Byeeee..." After that Leo immediately hung up the phone call.

I let out my breath. My heart was a little relieved and calmed by Leo's words just now.

"Thank you Leo. You're always there when I'm not feeling well." I'm so grateful that Leo always makes me feel comfortable. If there was no Leo, maybe my confidence would have completely collapsed because of Rose.
