13. Like a Couple On a Date

Sam was still confused because he couldn't find Ana on the bench. Sam continued to look around for Ana.

"Ana!!! Where are you? Ana!! Don't make me worry!! Where are you? Anaaaaa!!!" Sam shouted looking for Ana.

"What if one of the people who dislikes me and Leo kidnaps Ana?" Sam started thinking weird thoughts.

"What if they deliberately kidnapped Ana to threaten me and Leo?" Sam started to think negatively. Sam thought so not because he watched too many movies. But things like this were very common in their world. That's why Sam didn't get close to any humans. Sam was afraid that his closeness to humans would endanger the humans themselves.

"Where is Ana? Why did she leave this chair? I told her to wait!" Sam looked upset and confused.

"Looks like the girl is not missing. I can use her scent from here." Mark, Sam's wolf said to Sehun.

"Are you sure? But where is she?" Sam replied to Mark.

"It smells not far from here," Mark replied.

"You can look for him around here." After giving Sam the solution, Mark immediately broke their mindlink.

Sam massaged his temples. The problem of searching, it was a waste of time and energy, Sam didn't like it.

Sam walked towards home, he decided to look for Ana in that direction. His instinct told him Ana was in that direction.

"ANAA!!! ANAAAAAAAA!!!" While searching, Sam shouted Ana's name so Ana would hear his call.

"Anaaaaaa!! where are you?!!!" Sam screamed again. It didn't matter that Sam became the center of attention of the people for screaming and looking for Ana, the important thing was that Ana could be found.

"Yes. I've been sitting here waiting for you. Because I was so focused on looking at the beautiful sky, I didn't know that you looked confused at the other end. It's a good thing you shouted, so I could hear you and see you. It turned out that you had come out of the convenience store.

Sam looked to the side. Sure enough. Along the street there were many lawn chairs lined up. Not just one or two, but many. Even the colors and shapes were the same.

"Did you just find out that the sandals at the convenience store are cheaper than the ones you usually wear? hahahaa... you're so funny." Ana laughed at Sam's silly reply.

Ana stood up, then she pulled Sam's hand. "Let's go to that restaurant. I want to eat." Ana had the courage to talk to Sam like this. Her relationship with Sam had really entered a new phase. The friendship chapter, they were no longer awkward and unfamiliar now.

"Ah yes! I had forgotten. Let's go to the restaurant." Sam tried to forget the embarrassing incident. He stood up just like Ana.

Ting!!! Sam's cell phone rang, it seemed like an incoming message.

Sam took out his cell phone that was in his pocket. Then he looked to see whose message it was.

"Leo?" Sam spoke silently.

Sam opened the message from Leo.

"Be careful, Sam. Please take care of Ana. Many people are targeting us, most likely they will also hurt people who are close to us. Right now the one close to us is Ana. Many of my warriors have died because of those irresponsible bastards!!!" Sam read Leo's message silently.

Ting!!! Another message came in.

"You need to stay by Ana's side. Keep an eye on her. Don't leave the apartment, it's dangerous. If the situation improves, I'll be back." Sam continued reading Leo's second message.

After finishing reading the message from Leo. Sam immediately put his cell phone back in his pocket.

"A message from Leo, huh?" asked Ana guessing.

"No, it's not. It's a message from my office employee." Sam lied to Ana.

Sam took a deep breath, then he exhaled slowly. It was okay, it didn't matter, he had to be confident, he had to do this for Ana's safety. He had to. Sam has to do this!

Sam grasped Ana's hand tightly. "Let's go to that restaurant," Sam urged.

Ana was surprised when Sam took her hand. Ana looked at Sam. Ana's forehead wrinkled, a sign that she was confused.

"Yes, let's go there. But please let go of your hand." Ana told Sam to let go of her hand.

"I don't want to. So what? I just want to look after you. What if you disappear? It's very crowded tonight. Look, it's crowded. If you go missing, I'll be the one in trouble. Besides, if you go missing, you won't know your way home. You'll get lost because you won't know the way to our apartment." Sam was looking for a logical reason. Sam wasn't lying entirely, some of what she said was true. It was true, it was very crowded tonight. Sam wouldn't know if someone was disguised in this crowd and kidnapped Ana. So it was better for Sam and Ana to hold hands, it felt safer.

Ana was quiet for a moment. She was digesting Sam's words. Then a few seconds later Ana immediately nodded in agreement. "Yes, too. If I'm lost, I won't know how to get home. If I hold hands with you, I will be safe. I won't get separated from you even though it's very crowded here." Ana agreed with Sam's opinion.

"Alright then. What are you waiting for? Let's go." Ana's hand, which was clasped in Sam's, immediately pulled Sam to walk.

Sam walked after Ana. But it felt like Sam was unconscious. Sam was confused himself, it was like real and unreal. A Sam walking with a girl and holding hands like a couple? It feels very strange. Yes, even though Sam knew it was for Ana's own good.

Ana smiled widely, her eyes sparkling. Her face looked very happy when she saw the street food that was lined up in a long row. Many food stands with different types of food were selling here. No wonder it was so crowded here. The lights of the neatly lined street food also added to the beauty of the night for Ana.

"Woahhh... really this is very beautiful and amazing. So many lights and delicious food." Ana squealed in pleasure. She even unconsciously swayed her hand that was holding Sam's.

Sam looked at Ana, Sam found it funny to see Ana's overly happy expression. Even though what Ana saw were only trivial things like this.

"Do you want to buy some food here?" Sam asked Ana.

"Of course I want to! But I don't have any money." Ana sighed at the end of her sentence.

Sam laughed amusedly. "Take it easy. I have plenty of money. You can buy anything you want here."

"Woahhh... really?" Ana looked at Sam with her sparkling eyes.

Sam was slightly mesmerized by the beauty of Ana's eyes. Sam paused for a few seconds to take in the beauty of Ana's eyes.

Ana hit Sam's arm. It brought Sam out of his reverie. "Sam! Do you really want to treat me?" Ana asked Sam the same thing again.

"Sure. Just take what you want, I'll pay for everything. It's a token of my gratitude that you think of me as a funny and fun person." Sam smiled slightly.

Ana jumped for joy. "Yeayy! I can finally buy everything here." Ana smiled happily, she jumped up and down without letting go of her handhold with Sam.

Sam could only silently laugh at Ana's childish behavior.

"But I want to eat at the restaurant first. When I'm done, I want to buy everything here." Ana spoke to Sam.

"No problem. Then let's continue our journey to the restaurant. It's not far." Sam agreed to Ana's request.

Ana smiled widely. "Let's go!!! let's go to the restaurant!!!" Ana walked while swinging her hand that was holding on to Sam's. Now they looked like a love-struck teenage couple. The aura of happiness was strong.

Sam and Ana walked towards the restaurant. After finishing their meal at the restaurant, they would stop by the street food. Ana would buy all the food sold there. And Sam will pay for everything. Nice partnership, isn't it?
