26 - The Breakdown
One Week Later.
Hilary's Pov.
One week had passed and my husband didn't allow me to visit him in jail, but he allowed Abigail to see him every day. I was intrigued as to why he suddenly became distant from me although this is just part of his game, and Abigail became his partner in no time. Everything is confusing, and I don't know what to do.
“Stop making yourself stressed, Hilary. You have a son to focus on and self to take care of,” my mom commented while nail-filing her nails.
I rolled my eyes before answering, “I'm taking care of myself, Mom. Look after yourself, not mine.”
“Oh, I'm pretty content with my beauty.” She glanced at me and moved closer, “Look at your eye bags! Gross! How can you win Baron's heart if you're that ugly.”
“Thank you for being concerned,” I sarcastically replied. “But how can I focus on myself if Gerald is in jail and I'm here waiting for news?”
“Why not look after your son? He's been crying for you for weeks and he's giving me a headache!” She complained.
“Whatever.”
Our conversation was paused when the door opened and we both turned around as we heard it, and to my surprise, my husband was home!
I rose from my seat, excited to see him. I ran towards my husband and hugged him warmly, showing how worried I was for one week even though he'd been refusing to see me.
But Gerald pulled me away and slapped me hard, causing me to fall in shock.
“Gerald!” My mother ran towards us, helping me. “Why did you hurt my daughter?”
“How dare you betray me, Hilary!” He shouted.
I confusedly looked at him, ignoring the pain I was feeling on my lips, and asked, “What are you talking about, Gerald? I never betray you and I never will. I love you!”
“Liar! No one knows about the fake documents we did to fake Abigail's father's death certificate! I was arrested for faking documents, and the evidence is strong! Do you have any idea how hard it is for me to stay in that dirty cell?!” He complained in a daunting voice.
“I don't know what you are talking about, my love. You know me, Gerald. I would never do that to you. Perhaps, it was Abigail's idea!” I stood up from the floor and faced him, “She's been all over you ever since the divorce. So, there's a possibility just behind this!”
“Abigail help me get out of that dirty jail, so don't you dare blame her for your mistake! Maybe she was right all along? Maybe you were trying to ruin me because I became the COO of the company we're aiming for!”
I was dumbfounded by my husband's words because I never thought he would think that I would betray him. Even if I get jealous whenever he refuses to see me for one week, I stay loyal. I waited until he got released but now he was suspecting me.
“This is ridiculous, Gerald! My daughter would never do such a thing. Furthermore, you have no right hurting her!” My mother interfered, standing in front of me.
Even if my mother was annoying sometimes, she never failed to protect me. However, this problem is between me and my husband and she has no right to interfere or scream at my husband.
“Mom, leave us alone. This problem is between me and my husband, so don't interfere.”
She gasped in shock and answered, “Really? I'm trying to protect you from your abusive husband yet you're pushing me away because you don't want to lose him?!”
“Mom, please!”
“No! I'm not leaving you with this abusive man!” She glared at my husband and pointed into his face, “You! I didn't let you marry my daughter for you to hurt her! You scumbag!”
Gerald pushed my mother and gladly I caught her on time, we turned at him and he changed. There's only one person to blame, and that is Abigail.
“I give everything to you, help you achieve your dreams yet this is what I'm going to get from making your life better?!” He looked at my mother sharply, “Remember, Priscilla. I help you win that old man's heart and live a lavish life! So, don't you dare threaten me!”
I step in before everything becomes chaotic and my husband believes whatever Abigail told him, especially since it seems like she did something to wreck my husband's trust in me. I will never forget that woman, and I will make her pay for messing up my husband's mind!
“Look, Gerald. This is just a mistake. Don't worry, I will find whoever did this and prove to you that we didn't betray you.” I'm trying to calm my husband but he refuses to cooperate, so I have to use my charm.
I placed my hand on his chest before leaning forward, “Why don't we head over to the bedroom and let me massage you? It will help you calm down, especially since you seem to have gone through so much while in jail.”
He sighed, which means it works. “I'm exhausted. I have had a sleepless week, waiting to be released. The cell they put me in has so many mosquitoes, cockroaches, and also dust.”
“I know, babe. I'll be your maid tonight and I'll make sure to accompany you with all my might.”
“You better, Hilary.” That's all Gerald stated before heading upstairs. I felt relieved somehow because he still bit my charm, and I need to keep it like that or else I'm going to lose control of my husband and Abigail will win.
“Who do you think did this?” My mother immediately asked me.
I cross my arms, “I know one. But we need proof to prove that she was behind this.”
“Why is this even happening?”
“Simple, Mom. Abigail wants us to suffer the same pain she went through,” I replied.
“That b*tch!” she exclaimed before touching her nape in frustration. “I regret not hiring a hitman to end her life.”
“That will be harder to hide, Mom. Do you think Baron would let it slide? Even though he's in my arms, I know he's secretly seeing that woman behind my back…” I murmured.
“What is your plan now?”
“For now, I need to attend to my husband and ease his anger. Take care of my son, Mom.”
I patted my Mom's shoulder before heading upstairs because Gerald would get mad at me for making him wait. I open the first three buttons of my tight green dress, remove my ponytail, and let it fall on my shoulders.
I knocked twice before coming into our bedroom and saw my husband lying on his chest, half-naked. I sat on our bed, rubbing his back, causing him to wake up and roll to face me. He was silent, seemed to be thinking deeply, and not saying anything.
So, I lean my head on his chest, placing my hand on it. “What are you thinking?”
“How could you betray me?”
“I already told you, hun. I would never do this to you, especially since you're the only man I love.”
“What about Baron? I'm not surprised if you are already sleeping with him,” he muttered.
I chuckled, “Are you jealous, baby? Hmm?”
He didn't answer, so I rode on top of him and undressed myself. Exposing him to my mountains before grinning, I grabbed his hands and placed them on them.
Gerald rose from lying on the bed and smirked at me, “Although I'm mad at you, I can't ignore these beauties.”
“Of course, you don't.”
He didn't waste time and l*ck my n*pple slowly, his warm tongue tingles me instantly. I giggled softly before wrapping my arms around his neck. I can't stop the sensation lingering inside my body, his warm tongue playing with my n*pple, s*cking it like a hungry baby.
I grip his head as play with my other n*pple while s*cking the other one.
“Ugh~” I moan and I always love his warm tongue. “Oh, hun… you're so good…”
I gasped when his finger slipped under my underwear, and Gerald played with my cl*toris.
“Ohhh~” I arched my back when he slid his finger inside me, I bit my lips and couldn't resist it.
“Yes, baby…”
I need to prove to my husband that I'm not behind his arrest, especially since I know who can do this to us, and my guess is Abigail.
She's the only one who had the guts to ruin my relationship with my husband, but Gerald seemed not convinced by my words.
He let go of my breast, grinning at me. “Do you really want me to believe you, Hilary?”
“Of course.”
“Then,” he laid back on the bed and smirked, “Satisfy me. I will make my verdict once I'm satisfied.”
I chuckled, thinking it was a joke. “Oh, hun. You know I can, right?”
“Let's see, babe. Let's see how far you can go just to convince me, and I might believe you after this.”
I lean my hands in between his head before moving closer, smirking at his face, “Watch me, hun.”
