Chapter 67 Chapter 67) Eavesdropping/ Agreeing.
11:30am.
“It's 2 hours. Isn't she going to leave?”.
“I don't know”.
“I heard that Lady Tessie is her sister. How did that happen? Our Lycan King got himself involved with two sisters”.
“Shush it. You don't want her or the Lycan King to find out that we are gossiping about them. Do you imagine what is going to happen to us if they find out about that? I bet you don't?”.
A maidservant sighed. “I guess you are right”.
The three maidservants stopped gossiping and focused on what they were doing.
They were in charge of making sure that the outside of the mansion was neat and in order.
It took them a while to finish their job, and they retreated to the maidservants’ kitchen for breakfast.
It was after they left that Priscilla rose to her feet some minutes later.
“Until we meet again, sister. I hope, wherever you are, you are at peace and can see me. I am going to stay alive for both of us, no matter what”. She muttered, and staring once more, she left and was on her way to find Alejandro.
If he changed his mind and did not allow her to go to the Joaken pack today, then she was going to leave alone.
Though, before she could return to the mansion to search for him, a certain figure caught her attention.
It was Beta Mike. And at first, she wanted to ignore him, but her mind told her to go after him, which she did.
She went after him and hid herself after seeing the person whom he had gone to meet.
“You are late”.
She heard Alejandro say to him and decided to listen in to their conversation.
“I apologize, Lycan King Alejandro”. Mike said to him, before he went ahead and began to tell him everything he had discovered about Kayson and Elora after he went to the Joaken pack.
Like two minutes later, he concluded, “Kayson isn't aware of the assassins’ existence who are trained to go against him and you. I overheard some of them discussing how he had ordered them to be killed, and that it was Elora who had saved them from his wicked hands”.
“So, in my opinion, Elora isn't simply plotting to rebel against you. But she also plots to get rid of Kayson. Her love for him is just a facade for him to let his guard down”.
“I bet her harmless approach was how she was able to get close to Kayson and deceive him into fighting against Sam, and then, killing Luna Demira, because both of them share something in common”.
“They wouldn't easily bow to power, or were forces she could control”.
‘What?’. Priscilla clenched her fists tightly and gritted her teeth after listening to every single word Mike had said.
She never knew that such a harmless looking lady like Elora had such a black heart.
She thought it ended when they killed her. So, she wanted more?
“You are excused”.
“Thank you, Lycan King Alejandro”. Mike greeted him, before he took his leave.
And after he left, Alejandro said, “Come out. What are you still listening to?”.
“Eh”. She took a peek around to see who Alejandro was talking to, and after not seeing anyone, she realized that it must be her that he was talking to.
‘So he knew all along that I had been listening to him but kept quiet about it and allowed me to have my way?’. She thought and slammed her fist on the nearby little tree, and it collapsed before she came out of her hiding spot.
“What are you going to do now that you have found out the truth?”. Alejandro asked her, more like he had fun teasing her, because he knew that his words were going to provoke her.
‘Why did he order his men to look into the Joaken pack? Did he have a change of heart and did that because of me?’. She thought to herself, but felt completely stupid because of her own imagination, as she realized that there was no way he had done that because of her.
“Nothing changed. I am still going to kill him”. She replied to him with a frown on her face, because she did not understand why he would ask her such a question.
Did he think that she would have mercy on him after realizing that he had been manipulated and deceived? At least, no one forced him to do all those things.
“I want to leave now. I want to go to the Joaken pack, and I don't want you delaying my plan any longer”. She told him her mind, not caring if her words were going to have any consequences.
“Fine. Let's go”. He said to her.
“I knew it. I knew you would try to stop-”. She didn't finish talking and her eyes widened. “What did-? What did you just say?”. She asked him, but rather than replying to her, he shifted into his Lycan form, and the courage she once had against him reduced greatly, and she was left speechless.
“Oh my”. She gasped as her eyes locked on him.
Compared to a werewolf, he was almost twice the size.
Also, his fur was blue, with a mixture of purple which had a special glow.
She wouldn't lie, but his Lycan form was the most beautiful form she had ever seen in her life.
“Did you not want to go to the Joaken pack? What are you waiting for?”. He asked her, bringing her back to reality.
And so, she shifted into her wolf form, and together they left the mansion.
‘Can he just leave his pack like that without informing anyone about it?’. She thought and kept on staring at his back as they ran.
He was clearly ahead of her, and she was literally using her might to try and keep up with him.
Anyway, she did not care if he left the pack without telling anyone about it.
All she cared about was that she was currently going to the Joaken pack, and she couldn't wait to get her hands on those people.
But, she didn't want to be the villain. So, she would expose their deeds before having them killed, as she didn't want to stain Demira's name.
Well, if by chance she wasn't able to expose them, she was going to go ahead and take their lives, and would certainly not care about the opinions of others.
