Chapter 66 Chapter 66) Realization.
Priscilla ran after Alejandro, not minding the eyes that were fixed on her. She could not care less about that when she had something more important in her mind she wanted to sort out.
“Please wait up”. She said to him after he arrived outside the mansion, and when he finally halted suddenly, her forehead hit his back, and she let out a little hiss.
“What is it?”. He asked her without bothering to turn around to stare at her face.
He wasn't in the mood for that as she had succeeded in ruining his mood completely.
She frowned upon hearing his voice, but that did not make her beat around the bush. Rather, she went straight to the point and said to him, “I want to go to the Joaken pack today. I can't wait anymore”.
His brows furrowed and he finally turned to her.
“Is that only what you care so much about, Priscilla?! Is that what only you and Demira care about?!”. He raised his voice at her, causing her to flinch, but most especially, she was taken aback as she never expected that he was going to raise his voice at her in this way.
That wasn't all. He looked pissed off, making her wonder if she said anything.
Or was he angry because she didn't eat her breakfast?
But why did he care so much if she ate her breakfast or not? She didn't understand.
Wasn't he supposed to hate her?
Well, what did she expect? He was someone whom she could never predict what he was thinking.
Those red eyes of his looked like something that held and hid many secrets. She could feel it deep within her bones.
Not that she actually cared to know what he was hiding.
While she was lost thinking without averting her gaze from him, he said something which made her lose the ability to speak.
“Your sister's cold body is there lying six feet in the grave, and all you have been thinking about is revenge! Have you visited her?! And you dared to call her your sister! Are you even really her sister? Or did you also dare to lie to me about that?!”.
Her eyes widened upon hearing what he said, and it felt like a bomb had been thrown directly at her heart.
“I-”. She tried to say something but lost her voice and her eyes became teary. His words were a direct blow to her, and it made her body weaken. Also her spirit.
At that moment, her legs weakened, and she fell to a sitting position on the ground.
Her shaky hand reached out to her neck and ripped off the necklace she was wearing. It was her blue necklace and Tessie's blue necklace.
She (Demira's) had merged them together as one and wore it on her neck.
After ripping the necklace off her neck, she stared at it closely, and no matter how much she looked at it, she and Demira were not mistaken.
This was their family heirloom. So, Tessie was surely her elder sister.
There was no doubt about that.
“Sist- sister”. She whimpered as she hugged the necklace. Tears filled her eyes, and she felt like she was choking.
Her eyes became blurry, and all she could see were her tears.
It still felt like a dream to her.
Maybe it was because she did not want to believe that the sister she recently remembered she had, had died, and she could never reunite with her ever again.
That was enough to shatter her heart into a million pieces.
Right now, she was feeling so horrible and pathetic.
Her elder sister was gone, and so was Demira. She really was all alone. What could be worse than that?
At least, having Demira by her side would not have been so bad the way it was now.
But she felt worse now.
Staring at her crying irritated Alejandro, as he hated seeing those tears escape her eyes.
His hands reached out to her, and upon realizing what he was doing, he halted.
‘I won't fall for your trick this time, moon goddess’. He said coldly, before he turned and left, not caring to glance behind him.
Priscilla was left behind, whimpering bitterly as she continued to hug the necklace tightly, refusing to let go.
Her eyes were shut.
To her, hugging the necklace felt like she was hugging Demira and Tessie (Delilah), and that gave her a little warmth.
“Why did you have to kill yourself? Huh? Was it worth it? No, it wasn't. I wish I found you in time. I wish I was there to stop you”. She muttered, before she cried out as she could not suppress her feelings anymore.
It hurt. It really hurt her so much.
The maidservants who were upstairs, coincidentally saw her through the window, and soon, many more of them hurried to the window and struggled to take a look at her.
‘I knew it was a bad idea for her to go after our Lycan King’.
One of the maidservants thought, and some others who had seen Priscilla run after Alejandro, thought the same thing.
As for Priscilla, she remained sitting on the ground and crying while clenching her chest, until eventually, she rose from the ground and hurried like a mad person in search of where Tessie was buried.
When she noticed that some warriors had arrived out of nowhere and began to follow her, she grew pissed off, as she did not appreciate being watched.
But, they had arrived at the perfect time, as she did not know where Alejandro had buried her sister.
She turned to them, and without delay, she went ahead and grabbed the clothes of the male warrior who stood at the front.
“Where's Tessie's grave? Take me to her”. She demanded, causing them to exchange glances with themselves.
“I am sorry, Luna. But you need permission from Lycan King-”.
“Just take me to her, now! She's my sister. Are you stopping me from meeting my sister?! How dare you?! As your Luna, I order you to lead the way”. She declared and let go of the warrior’s clothes.
After a bit of hesitation, they obeyed her and led her to where Tessie had been buried. She was buried under a beautiful tree.
“Sist- sister”. Tears filled her eyes again like water, and she fell to her knees.
Usually, she thought she was the kind of person who rarely shed tears.
But, she had broken down and had shed tears these past few hours.
