Kate arrived at the mansion.
She halted in front of the building where she was supposed to be working, and after staring at it for a little while, she walked into the building with a hopeful smile on her face, as she was greatly motivated to work hard, so that she could be transferred to work in the main mansion.
But, if by any chance, she was given the opportunity to cross paths with the Lycan King before that, she promised herself not to keep silent.
How she wished she could show him the recordings of her cell phone, in order for him to hear the words that the bastard had spoken.
Too bad she could not do that now, as she could not afford to get caught when she had just begun. Maybe when she had won his trust, she would move on with phase 2 of her plan.
Upon arriving inside the mansion, she met Lisa and was surprised, because she did not expect that she would arrive as early as her.
To be fair, between her and Lisa, she thought she was the person who was the most excited about the job, irrespective of the kind of dark soul Alejandro was.
But as she could see, it turned out that she was wrong.
“Hello, Lisa”. She said and waved her hand, as she went to meet her.
Lisa, who was lost thinking, got distracted and stopped thinking after hearing Kate's voice. She had not noticed her presence because of how focused she was on her thoughts.
“Oh, hello, Kate”. She said with a lively smile on her face, unlike how her expression and response was yesterday when Kate spoke to her.
Just then, before both of them could continue catching up with each other, the assistants of Madam Cecilia came into view.
They were wearing blue dresses and white scarfs on their necks.
Those were their uniforms, which showed everyone that their position in the mansion was a few steps above the maidservants.
“Come with us”. One of the assistants said, and sparing no minute, Kate and Lisa followed her and the other assistant.
On the way, both Kate and Lisa kept on looking around the mansion and were amazed by what they were seeing.
‘I thought that the bastard's mansion and my penthouse were grand, but this...?! This is definitely on a whole new level! Crazy. I wonder what the main mansion is going to look like!’. Kate thought and for once, she could not control the expression on her face.
Not even her sparkling eyes.
Glancing behind her, the assistant with short red hair saw the way Kate and Lisa were smiling from ear to ear as they cluelessly looked around the house in awe.
She also saw the way that Lisa was trying to cover her lips to conceal her smile, while not having a clue that someone had already seen her.
Because of that, she shook her head, almost in pity. ‘They are very naive. They can't even tell what they had gotten themselves into. Don't they have the slightest idea that half and a quarter of the maidservants who work in the mansions wished to leave if they were given such an opportunity?’. She thought, but did not have the time to think much about it after they arrived in front of a particular room door.
Technically speaking, it was the registration office, and it belonged to Madam Cecilia.
Anyway, a knock on the door by the red haired assistant was enough, because a voice was heard inside, “Come in”.
The voice belonged to Madam Cecilia, as she was inside the office and was busy with some tasks. The pack had recently welcomed a new Luna after a while.
And according to the tradition of the moonlight pack, as soon as they had welcomed the new Luna of the moonlight pack, they ought to have more hires who would take care of her.
But in this case, she did not know what to do because only two single people showed up for the job, and it was not something that she could be proud about, or could be proud to show off.
The door opened, and they let themselves inside the office.
Seeing the two, Kate and Lisa, Cecilia stopped what she was doing and adjusted her eyeglasses.
There was a mixture of relief and worry in her heart as she saw them. If they registered their names for real as workers of the Lycan King, then there was no turning back for them, and even she would not be able to do much about it.
Though looking closely at it, she understood that it was their choice.
After all, she didn't force them to work in the mansion.
“Welcome back, young ladies”. She said with a smile, and they greeted her, making her go ahead with the next part.
She opened her desk drawer and brought out a file from it.
In just a few minutes, Kate and Lisa’s names were officially registered in the book’s register.
“Daniella, please be a dear and show them to their room. And I want you to teach them everything about their jobs and the rules of the mansion”. Cecilia said to her.

“Of course, Madam Cecilia”. She replied to her, before she turned to Kate and Lisa. “Come on, let's go”. She said to them, and together, they left Cecilia’s office.
