Chapter 60 Chapter 60) Not angry.
After Priscilla entered the room and shut the door, she halted upon seeing Alejandro standing by the window.

Taking a deep breath, and furrowing her brows, she went to him and stood a few steps away from him.

“We need to talk, Lycan King Alejandro”. She said to him, with her head bowed before him a little bit, as she knew her stand and did not want to provoke him into making things difficult for her.

“I see. I didn't know you had that side to you”. He said, confusing her.

‘What is he talking about?’. She wondered, before guessing that it must have something to do with what happened between her and Kira out there. ‘Is he angry at me? I am not the one at fault’.

“I admire that”. He added, and for a second, she was taken aback and lifted her head to stare at him. And her eyes… they did not fail to widen in pure disbelief.

‘What is this? Did he just compliment me? I thought he was going to be angry that I sent her away. What is seriously going on inside his mind? He is unpredictable’. A bead of sweat formed on the side of her cheek as she thought, but she became even more surprised because of the small smile that appeared on his face when he turned to her.

Though it lasted for only a few seconds.

‘What is wrong with him today?’. She slightly shook her head, and after shutting her eyes for a few seconds, she opened them, while telling herself that her eyes must have deceived her, even though that wasn't the case.

Not wanting to waste time because of his unpredictable and twisted personality, she went straight to the reason why she had come to find him, and said to him, “I want to go to the Joaken pack. Please, let me go”.

She had forced herself to sound polite when she said that to him, but he was no fool, as he was able to tell that she was pretending, before he took some steps towards her while she remained unmoved.

He only halted when he stood, at least, an inch away from her.

“What does my Luna want to go to the Joaken pack to do?”. He asked her, and as his hand reached out, he gently grabbed the tips of her long white and silver colored hair and playfully curled them up using his fingers.

Deep within, Priscilla felt disgusted. She has not stopped blaming the moon goddess for playing such a game with her and Demira. By giving them such a mate after they got away from a toxic mate.

As her eyes locked with his, she could not help but grit her teeth because there was a truth she couldn't deny.

Her heart raced whenever she saw him, and no matter how disgusted she was around him, she did not seem to hate him touching her.

It was just that… She and Demira did not want to accept him, as they both despised him.

And it was more annoying that he had something to do with their elder sister.

It was even more annoying because she refused to believe that a monster like him loved their elder sister.

How could a monster like him love someone? Did he have the ability to love anyone? No. She did not believe that.

Clenching her fists, she replied to him, saying, “I want to- I want to kill him”.

He smirked as she replied to him. Unknown to her, he knew that that was what she was going to say to him.

As an assassin, he understood how daring she was to tell him her true intention.

“And after that, what next? Are you going to come for my head also?”. He asked her.

It might sound like he was teasing her, but that was not the case, as he was hell bent serious about what he had said to her, with the look in his eyes shifting to something dark and serious, since he knew that killing him was something she could dare to do.

“What-”. She tried to say something, but paused mid way because he was right.

She had planned to come for his head.

Her silence enticed Alejandro and made him become more interested in her, as her silence proved to him that he was right, and that she was after his head.

He let go of her hair and held her chin instead, as he brought his face forward, to the extent his lips almost touched hers.

“Granted. You are allowed to go to the Joaken pack. You are permitted to kill him, but I must go there with you. I can't wait to see you attempt to take my life”.

He said to her, causing her to feel cold chills in her bones.

He leaned forward again, with his lips close to her ear as he whispered to her, “I want to see just how capable you are, my mate”.

She clenched her fists more tightly but did not say anything.

She was genuinely surprised when he permitted her to go to the Joaken pack to kill Kayson. But she didn't understand why he wanted to come with her.

Why was that?

She wanted to ask him that question and also wanted to refuse him, but fearing that he might change his mind and not allow her to go anymore, she decided not to say anything.

As long as he was not going to interfere or stand in her way of killing Kayson, then she had no problem with that.

But that did not mean she was comfortable with him coming along with her.

Yet again, why did he not do anything to her when he found out that she and Demira had lied to him? Why didn't he do anything to them after finding out that they were assassins?

She was lost thinking and was brought back to reality when Alejandro wrapped his arm around her waist and drew her to himself, so that her body was touching his.

She gasped and tried to push him away, but he held her so firmly and said, “Don't you dare think of running away from me after we leave my mansion. There is still a lot about you that I haven't figured out. So until then, you are stuck with me”.

She furrowed her brows as she stared into his eyes, because she did not understand what he meant by that.

What did he want to figure out about her?
