Chapter 29 Chapter 29) Finally happening/ Punishment/ Irritation.
‘I can't believe that this is finally happening. Can you see this, Alpha Nicholas? Your son is finally going to get married’. Elder Edward thought to himself and was over the moon.
He has been like this since the day he learned that Alejandro was going to get married.
He knew that with Alejandro getting married, it wouldn't be long for the moonlight pack to welcome its heirs.
That was something he had earnestly been looking forward to, because with the kind of personality Alejandro had, and after Tessie ran away from the moonlight pack, he believed that he (Alejandro) was never going to get married.
Fortunately, he was proved wrong, and that was something he was glad about and could boost off.
Alejandro was the last Lycan alive in the world, and each passing day, whenever he (elder Edward) sat alone in his living room, he kept on thinking about what would become of the moonlight pack in the future if Alejandro left the world without providing an heir to take over his place.
He let out a heavy sigh.
“This is a great day for the moonlight pack. Nothing must go wrong!”. He said and left his pack house.
According to what he had just learned about, the bride tried to run away last night. And due to this news, he was afraid that she might try to slip off and run away the second time.
That was something he didn't want or could afford to happen. So, he wanted to make sure that everything was alright, and that nothing should go wrong.
With all that being thought of, he was going to make sure that the security was tightened, so that she would have nowhere to run to even if she wanted to.
…
The path to the border,
“We deserve worse than this, brothers. We had failed him again in the worst terrible way”. Steve, who was the heftier looking warrior in charge of guarding Demira alongside the other warriors, said to his fellow warriors who stood beside him, before he lowered his head in defeat.
“You are right. We deserve way worse than this. He should have let us die”.
“We-! We don't deserve to serve him!”.
They agreed with whatever each one of them said, because that was how guilty they felt for failing Alejandro.
They could not believe that they were so stupid to allow a mere woman to escape the mansion under their watch.
They didn't actually believe that a weak looking lady like her would be able to pull off such a move.
Anyway, they already got what they deserved, even though they weren't satisfied with the punishment they had received.
Last night, when Lycan King Alejandro confronted them, they awaited death, but rather than that, what they got was severe injuries all over their bodies, caused by his sharp claws.
After that, he ordered them to leave the moonlight pack for the border, where they would remain and guard the pack for the rest of their lives.
But before they left, they had to do a convincing act as per Alejandro’s order, so that Demira would be scared and threatened, and that next time, she was going to rethink her decision of wanting to run away.
“Come on, we should go to the border and make up for our crimes”. Steve said to them, and after he shook his head and sighed in defeat, he shifted into his wolf form.
The rest followed suit and shifted into their wolf forms, before they ran off together, heading to the moonlight pack’s border, where they were supposed to spend the rest of their lives.
…
Demira returned to her bedroom and did not know what to feel after she saw the new warriors who had been assigned to watch over her.
And this time around, they were more in numbers than the previous warriors, making her realize that she must have awakened Alejandro’s suspicion of her.
‘I have to lie low enough for him to trust me and make them go away’.
She thought to herself, before she ignored them, opened the door to the bedroom, and entered the room. But, the second after she set foot inside the bedroom, she halted because of the scene that awaited her.
The Omega maidservants stood still respectfully, with their hands placed skillfully in front of them. Not only that, breakfast had been served, and they were patiently sitting there waiting for her on the table.
And, the most surprising part?
A fluffy blue gown that sparkled like the night rivers when they were adorned with the stars, was gracefully lying on the bed, and was waiting for her to put it on.
“Greetings, our Luna. May you live long and healthily, and may you give birth to strong Lycan heirs for our mighty Lycan King”.
She had not stopped being surprised when the Omega maidservants greeted her.
But she frowned, because their words caused her stomach to twist with irritation.
‘Heirs?’. Her face darkened by the thought of that, and she clenched her fists. ‘That is never going to happen!’.
