Chapter 78: Who's the sly?
Miles's POV 

He adjusted his T-shirt, tried to confirm if Belle was looking but Tasha almost informed Belle and that will cause a distraction, so I stopped her.

"He's a snitch Miles, we can't have him here with us"

"What if he's only a victim?" I said still maintaining my calm composure.

"But he kept his phone on just so he'd inform his team" she fires but we were talking in whispers not to gain Belle's attention.

"It's not what you guys think" he discontinued talking and then licked his lower lip.

"If we get out of here, can I have a moment with you?" He requested looking depressed and I first glanced at Belle, then the vibrating Tasha before I hauled him to a corner.

"He's threatening you isn't he?" I asked curiously as he gulp hard, placing back his phone.

"It's more than that and this isn't the right place to talk about it" he answered and I nodded respecting his decision.

Although, there were a lot of calculations in my head, maybe cole figured out he's a werewolf and he's been blackmailed for something but what exactly?

I know Cole barely calls people except it's something important and Liam might know something or have something that Cole wants but he's just scared of trusting a hunter.

"Does this involve your life?" I pressed on to know who I'd center my blame on. Just as he was about to speak, Belle calls out to us.

"The door has finally opened!"

"Genius" I complimented and then left Liam who looks like he was reminiscing over something.

Staring at the scene before me, all I can see is the woods and hear the howls of wolves even though it's the day time.

It's not as fascinating as I expected and my expectation died down.

Liam knew what to do as he takes the first, Tasha follows and then Belle and I.

While we were cautious and precise, Belle handed me a stunt gun. When I looked at her, she knew she has to answer for it.

"You don't know how to use guns but have one in case" she said and I felt insulted tossing the gun back to her.

"Thanks for your kind words, I'd prefer to use my hand" she snickered at me and then nudge my stomach with her elbow.

"You were saying something about monster and lover, are any of my teams having a love sync among themselves"

I thinned my lips while waving my hands against the butterflies that hovers around us.

"It's us, you're the monster and I am your lover" I proudly said in a joke.

Belle grimanced at me as she crossed her arms disappointed.

"You always leave someone in a cliff hang"

"You always take someone unexpectedly" I countered and she rolled her eyes, exhausted while I crackled.

"Where exactly are we going?" I asked and it seems to have dawn on her that she had no plan to even arrive her.

"Anywhere but I have to find those guys" she replied as I narrowed my eyes at her.

"We are going to the alpha, you need to mingle with the wolves or they'd murder you" Liam narrates as though listening to our conversation.

We all looked thrilled and determined as it all feels like an adventure.

This will be a long day and I might never return home.

If I were asked the route or turns we took, I might never know as I was busy picking words with Belle to even be concerned about this mission.

All I know is that we arrived at what looks like cabin and we were welcomed by a giant looking man.

"Liam!" He calls as it's only Liam he recognized among us.

"Fidel, it's been a while" he replied with a grumpy look like they've been haters.

"Yeah, you ghosted us just to fulfill your stupid dreams with a psychopath lady as your lead" the Fidel reports and we all glared at him.

It's like we were invisible in his sight 

Not the introduction that might take decades to end. Of course, Belle, she just can't take it either and stepped forward.

"and I guess you found some wolves who have nothing meaningful but to wonder with a loser like you"

"At least, he has followers but I guess you have nothing" Belle mutters pushing him aside as she walks inside, even though he hasn't permitted us to go in.

Tasha follows suit and Fidel gasped unbelievably at us.

"Women, they are wonderful" I whispered smiling sheepishly and walking pass him while he settles Fidel.

"You didn't tell me they're an annoying set of wolves" he quarries from behind and all Liam says is;

"I love them that way"

I scoffed with excitement by that reply and looked forward to scrutinize the cabin.

"We'd need clothes Fidel" Belle begins, giving her orders but judging from how Fidel acts, he'd need money for him to respond to us.

I got the settled, my card but I guess it doesn't work here. Tasha saved the day as she brought out some gold bars from her cargo pants.

"How the heck did you get that!" Liam brawls now opening up freely and Belle doesn't look concerned.

"I stole it from miles, the first day we met, see, I'm doing something useful" she proudly declares and I shook my head unbelievably.

"You sure have a crazy team" I commented and confirms to that.

"Fidel, fix a date with the alpha for us now" Liam said as he began to pace towards the window, covering it.

"What?"

Tasha tops up with more gold and we all gasped.

"Now explain that!" I brawl and she suddenly pulls out a black card from her pocket.

"Actually I took your card too and I guess it's worth it" she shyly said gritting her teeth and I threw my hands up.

"And hacked your account" she added and Fidel quickly appears in front of her.

"Be my girlfriend please"

"You'd be the fifth boyfriend to be murdered by her" Liam reports returning to us.

I scoffed at the dramatic scene as it's quite fun having such team around.

Belle snickers at him as she moved to the dresser in the room to take out some disguise.

To be sincere, I'm thrilled.
