Chapter 31

Annur's POV:

What am I supposed to do? Hatina is still not awake. I'm still with my family and we haven't heard a word about her condition.

My innocent little tigress, my habiti, my love, my heart, my everything and now she's not with me, she's not waking up.

I'm worried, I don't just understand my life anymore. Allah made Hatina to come into my life and now he wants to take her back, when I'm madly in love with her, she's the only thing that's keeps me going, the only reason I find the contentment to live.

"Annur she's going to be okay," Dad says. "Dad but she still not responding," I argue.

"InshaAllah she will, just believe in Allah he would perform his miracles" Dad tells me.

"How can I? when he's making someone I care about suffer because of my mistakes," I reply.

"Annur don't say that, if Hatina were to be here, she would tell you never to give up and not to talk this way to your creator," Dad snaps.

"Yes if she were to be here, but she isn't" I say.

"Annur please do not give up hope. Allah is there, he will show his mercy" Dad continues to say to which I don't reply and go forward when I saw the doctor arriving.

"doctor how is she?" I ask him.

We've been staying in here for two days now, nobody leaving except to just get food, change of clothes, but I haven't even stepped foot outside of this room.

"I'm sorry Mr. Abubakar, but we did our best." The doctor begin, as my heart spikes.

"What are you saying? What are you trying to tell me?" I ask angrily.

"We did our very best and did what we had to, but God has his own wish. your wife case is very serious as I've explained to you."

"And I fucking know that. Stick to the point." I cut him off making the doctor sigh.

"She's in a coma, we did all we could but it's left for God to perform his miracles an..." He starts saying but I cut him off.

"doctor I want you to go back in there and wake up my wife!" I yell to which Dad and the rest of the family comes closer.

"What happened doctor how's my daughter? " Aunt asked.

"She's in a coma now and we're not sure when she'll wake up," The doctor says.

"Ya Allah..." Aunt falls as uncle holds her from hitting the ground. "My daughter she can't leave me this way, she... She's still too young and I have many things to say to her, Ya Allah I beg with all my life, please save her" Aunt wails in pain.

"I'm sorry we did our best but the baby is affected which has now affected the mother too, so the only help we can render is to pass nutrition to the baby so he/she can survive as she's still at her early stage of her pregnancy but the rest is up to the lord, he'll show his mercy and..." The doctor continues.

"Shut up, just shut up, I don't want to hear this again, everyone saying God will show his mercy, then why hasn't he done that already, why is he making us suffer this way?" I ask pissed off.

"You know what? I'm going out," I say leaving.

"Annur where are you going?" Mom asks with tears in her eyes. It hurt me seeing all of them in pain and I can't do anything about it so it’s better if I just leave there, I won't have to see their faces.

"Somewhere and no one should dare follow me." I warn going out of the hospital. I take my car and speed out. I am really going crazy right now, Hatina cannot leave me, not now, not when I promised to show her what love is, to show the world that she is mine.

Music booms out as I get to my destination. Well what do I expect from a club? When this is the only place that I know my mind can drift off without thinking of Hatina.

I enter the club seeing people dancing, girls doing dirty dancing, guys all around them and so many things. I go straight to the bar and ask for a shot of tequila and he gave it to me immediately.

I take the first shot, asked for another one taking again and again. I don't know how many I've taken but I know it's passed 7.

I know I shouldn't be drinking and this is Haram and unacceptable to my religion, but at this point I can't help it.

I am about to take the next one when a soft hand touches me making e me to remember Hatina's touch. Her soft fingers that always felt so sweet on my skin, even in a club I still remember her.

I removed my hand remembering it's not like Hatina's own. I want only hers. So much for not thinking of her.

"Hey," She puts her hands on my shoulder as I feel her caress them. I turn to look at this so-called person who managed to make me think she is someone else.

A blonde standing, as she moves in front of me with skimpy clothes, wearing a short mini skirt and a crop top.

I look at her carefully and remembered Hatina again, the way she loves to wear crop top and the way it fitted her chest so well.

"I'm Miley," she hiss in my ear.

"Okay." is all I say. I don't know why but if it was in the past, any girl I see in my presence wearing something like this usually makes me go crazy for her, but now it doesn't seem that way, I don't even feel an inch of attractiveness, I only want Hatina's body.

"Hey baby, c'mon," She says as she drags my tie to her then pulls me up and tells me to follow her which I foolishly do. Well you can't blame me I am practically tipsy.

We arrive at a room and she opens the door. It is just a plain room, nothing too special about it as she drags me inside and I follow.

"I know you want me," She says as I just hum to her words and she continues. She started to unbutton my shirt, after she is done with that she pushes me to bed and comes over me.

Her lips find mine as she claims them and I had no choice but to accept them. She touches my body but I don't feel anything, I feel nothing, in fact I'm starting to get disgusted by her, I just want her to get off me.

She is still caressing my lips when I remembered something. Hatina would never want me to do this? I promised her I would never do something like this, and here I am. This is not the solution to my problem rather I'm adding fuel to the fire.

I push her off telling her to get away but she refused.

"What's wrong baby? Don't you like what you see?" She says as she removes her crop top wearing nothing underneath.

Oh God how can some girls be so shameless, I shouldn't Blame her, I'm the cause of this.

"Get away and don't touch me." I walk away from the room and leave the bar.

Ya Allah what am I doing? I'm supposes to be praying for Hatina's health and here I am coming from a bar. I stumble upon a lot of people, everyone each doing whatever it is they came to do as I find my way out.

I take my car and drive home before going upstairs and not meeting anyone home, knowing they're still at the hospital.

I take my shower carefully, erase all the rubbish on me and performed ablution. Even though I know my salt won't be accepted yet, I'll still pay to God to forgive me.

I offered my salat and perform nafila with it and asked Allah for Hatina's health. I tell him to help her with good health and recover safely.

I am still praying and before I know it tears are rushing out of my eye.

I cry to Allah knowing I've come to the right place, and beg him with all my might and when I am done I fold my mat.

I realized I was wrong, this is the only place that can actually heal Hatina and heal me at the same time, I just have to have hope, she is strong, she'll make it.

They both will.

My child, my unborn child that I had not even know about, and Hani was planning on wiping it out of existence. All these brings tears to my eyes as I wipe them away.

I walk downstairs after praying as my phone rings. "Annur," Dad calls from the phone.

"Dad I'm sorry about the way I talked earlier, I'm really sorry. " I apologize not waiting for him to talk.

"It's fine Annur. I understand you. That's not why I'm calling.” Dad say as I listen. "Annur it's about Hatina, she's."

"She's what?"
