JEREMY'S POV
BETRAYAL RUNS DEEP

I ignored it the first time but it buzzed again. Grace groaned. “Ignore it. Just stay with me. Let's just laze around all night.”

I kissed her forehead, chuckled, and reached for my phone anyways. The message made my stomach churn immediately.
There is something else. Meet me tonight, we need to talk.

Grace lifted her head, narrowing her eyes at me. “Would you still go?”

I brushed my thumb against her cheeks gently. “I need to see someone. It's important.”

Her mouth pulled up in a small pout, but she tried to hide it. “You're leaving me again.”

“But I'll be back,” I said kissing her slowly and deeply, something she could hold onto. “I promise.”

She nodded as her phone buzzed too. “We are even now.” she says chuckling.

“Jer, hurry before I change my mind.” she said, swiping her screen.

I wore my clothes hurriedly, and with impeccable perfection. Grace's countenance changed immediately.

“Everything okay?” I asked her.

She nods but she looks stunned. “Lily's grandmother died.”

“I'm sorry to hear that. You should be with her.” I kissed her forehead. “Do you need a ride?” I asked her.

“No, I can take care of myself.” she argued getting me, flashing me her body. My pants tightened as blood rushed to my cock.

I kissed Grace deeply again, it took some time before I let go of her. And walked out of the house towards my car.

I drove to the location he gave me, it was quite different from the previous one. I think this has to be his house, because it's tucked in the other side of town.

I got to the location, it was moderately a good place. But the surroundings were kind of rough. I called Tony and he picked up immediately.

“Hey, I'm already here.” I said sighing. “You better not be fucking with me.”

“No ... .no, I'm not.” he says and hangs up.

Within a few minutes he came out of one of those houses. He wore a gray hoodie and black sweat pants. His bruises are healing now, but you could tell someone did that to him.

He took me to his house, he was leading the way. We got to his place and it was fairly okay.

“Get on with it. Don't waste my time.” I snapped at him.

He looked nervous, sweaty and frightened. He looked like a man, who just wanted to clear his name.

“I know you think I leaked that tape,” he began. “Look, my face is out there too…”

“What is this about? You have two minutes, or you'll regret it.” I barked at him.

“I didn't leak that clip,” he stammered. “It was the other guy, the one who..” he gestured to his face.

“I don't know what you're talking about.” I said already losing my cool.

He brought his phone and brought the screen to my face. “It was this other guy. He came out of nowhere, and jumped me. He didn't know I had cameras everywhere.”

The person I saw in the picture was clear as day. I was still and cold, because everything became calm and clear.

“Can you help me find him? He took something from me.” he begged.

I didn't say a word to him, I just opened the door and walked out. With one thought in my head, I turned on my ignition and I drove to my father's house.

I stormed in after getting into the compound, got past the annoying security men and barged into the sitting room. I didn't have time to admire the scenery, or exchange pleasantries with anyone.

I barged into the sitting room, Richard was seated with dad. He looked comfortable and relaxed like nothing happened.

“You did this!” I yelled at him. “You leaked that tape, and tried to ruin me.”

Richard smirks because in his mind, he's very untouchable now.

“You'll look at me. When I'm talking to you.” I said, grabbing his shirt. “You did that?” I asked him quietly.

“Jeremy, let go of your brother.” Dad commands. “What's going on here?”

I didn't say anything to dad, but presented Richard's picture in Tony's house.

“What is this, Richard?” he asked him sternly.

By this time he wasn't smirking anymore. “I don't know sir. Ask Jeremy.”

“He leaked Lana's tape. Just to ruin me.” I said angrily.

Dad goes pale and he's greatly embarrassed. “You disgraced this family,” dad said in a blunt voice. “You shamed your brother. And shamed me too.”

“Dad, I'm so sorry. I just wanted everyone to know.” Richard said in a low voice.

“Shut up. That's crap, you could've come to us.” I barked at him.

Richard wasn't smiling anymore, because he knows he's in deep water, especially with dad.

“Richard, you are an embarrassment. And sabotaged your brother.” Dad paused and inhaled greatly. “I'll greatly deal with you. Get out of my sight.”

For the first time since he came here. I can comfortably say that he was very terrified of dad's wrath.

I grabbed my car keys and left for my car. I called up Reed, asking him to meet me at the bar.

Reed leaned back in the metal chair, his boots crossed at the ankle. “Jeremy….that's crazy. Richard really did that, he went that low.”

I rubbed a hand over my jaw. “Yeah. He was ballsy when I called him out. He just smirked like a maniac.”

“That's insane, Bro,” he sighs. “Lana should know the truth, she deserves it. You should tell her.”

I shook my head. “I don't know. She's been spiraling lately. If I say this to her….” I exhaled. “She'll lose it.”

Reed’s voice softened. “Tell her anyway. She deserves to know the truth. Even if she's not like my best person.”

I paused and nodded in silence.

Reed took a sip of his drink, and nudged me. “So, what now?” what are you going to do about her?”

“I'll handle her perfectly.” I said quietly. “But right now, my head is at another place.”

Reed smirked. “Grace right?”

“How's Lily?” I asked.

“She's fine, but her Nana died.” Reed exhales. “She took it very hard.”

“You should cheer her up.” I urged him.

He nods and takes another sip. Reed is still in his uniform. He's the best thing that ever happened to me, he's a very good person.
