Lewana POV
"Audrey, will you stop wiggling? You need to have nice hair for Daddy's birthday party tonight".
This traitorous little one instantly sits still at the mention of Conrad. She would do anything for him, but she seems to enjoy ignoring me.
I got the last clip in when she hears the door open and takes off running while screaming.
"DDDAAAA DDAAAA".
Conrad picks her and spins her as she grips him tightly. "There's my little Princess. And how is my amazing Luna Queen doing?"
I grumble. "Wondering if I should be referring to our little Princess as her Royal terror".
He laughs at me. "You're just jealous I'm her favorite".
I gasp and clutch my chest in shock, and he rolls his eyes. I love the fact that I could give her my mother's name, but at the same time, it feels wrong to tell her off.
Conrad looks at his watch. "We'd better start heading down to the barn. The pack will be there waiting by now".
I smile and head into the nursery that joins our room. Playing on the floor quietly with his blocks is my gentle little Andrew. His face lights up when he sees me, and he lifts his arms up.
"Ma Ma".
"Oh my big boy, you ready for the party?"
At least I will always be his favorite.
We head into the barn as a family to the cheering crowd, and both pups start clapping with everyone as well. Conrad heads on stage to give his address to the pack.
"I want to thank everyone for your support over the last two years. We have made many changes in our world, with many still to come. Your continued support in your leadership team and the pack is what has made everything possible".
I smile and think back to everything that changed. We haven't heard of any shadow attacks in the last two years. The Faes have been monitoring the balance of the world and have been describing it as budding. Coming into bloom but not quite there yet.
The Eastern Moonfang pack was dismantled, and the Royal Moon Pack took over the land as a mutual territory. We turned it into a school. All levels of wolves can get training there. Omegas have different streams, such as farming, house maintenance, or childcare. Even Order of Light training with our High Priestess. Gamma learn ceremony and history. Beta's and Alpha's do warrior training and politics. I have even started medical training for all levels.
It opened six months ago with Arthur as the principal. He was never really comfortable helping with the medical work I do, but he still helps from time to time. He also likes being near Mary as they both work there.
This has brought many packs to us and agreed to the world we are building. From the 12 at my coronation to now, we are at 38 packs. There are only 46 registered in the country, so we will most likely be celebrating true peace in a few months as well.
We have been working closely with the humans on missions as well. They actually helped a lot with the pack alliances. A lot were struggling due to fear, but Agent Carter managed to use his system to look for people who had access to healthcare who were wolves. He also found a group trading in silver and wolfsbane. Ten hunters who also live with us now.
I kept Donovan alive. I just couldn't kill someone that sick, and the girls were right. If we ever meet another wolf who is suffering from lunacy, it would be good to be able to help them. We built a small mental health facility near the prison so he would receive medical care, and so we had a space ready if we found another sick wolf. It's not much, but there is enough space to expand, and at the moment, it's just Donovan.
"Earth to Moonlight". I'm slightly startled when Conrad hugs me from behind. "You space out for a minute there. What were you thinking about?".
I turn into his embrace. "Just....everything. My life three years ago and my life now".
He holds me tighter as he knows what I mean. He has grown a lot, too. "Well, that's all due to you, my strong and beautiful Luna Queen".
"You give me far too much credit. You probably did most of the work".
He snorts at me. "You survived, fought like hell, developed most of our modern technology, saved my life more than once, and grew two wolves inside your body. I just did the paperwork and paid for stuff".
I smile. "Well, you're nearly right". I move his arms just a bit lower down my belly. "Grew three wolves".
"YOU'RE PREGNANT".
The entire party freezes for a second before cheers break out. Conrad picks me up and spins me around while laughing. He kisses me passionately before whispering in my ear.
"Best birthday present ever".
We party with the pups til about 8. Audrey insists only Conrad can put her to bed, so I put Andrew down for the night and leave them with the nannies while we return.
We both enjoy our time in the Moon Garden, which has grown even more amazing over time, and we just think about everything that is to come.
