Chapter 207 Design a Frame-Up
Chapter 207 Design a Frame-Up
"Why is Timothy here? Then the man inside with Thea isn't Timothy?"
"Who is that?"
A beautiful smile curved at the corners of Ava's lips. They wanted to play her, but how could she let them succeed?
Lika's legs went weak, and she had to lean against the wall to steady herself. The words she'd used to comfort herself came crashing down.
The man inside wasn't Timothy.
Thea was in bed with another man in Timothy's room.
What on earth was going on?
The people inside were supposed to be Ava and Timothy!
Neither of them was in there, but Thea was instead. How did it turn out like this? Where did things go wrong?
Lika's mind was in complete chaos.
"Surprised, aren't you?"
Ava looked at Lika's reaction as if watching a clown.
Seeing Ava, it took Lika a while to realize they'd been played by Ava.
Their supposedly perfect plan had been easily dismantled by Ava. She'd been playing along with them all this time.
Thea was finished.
The marriage alliance between the Ellis family and the King family was over.
Thea would not only have her engagement broken off, but the Ellis family would be nailed to the pillar of shame along with her.
The woman's pleasured voice in the room had reached its peak. Timothy's brow furrowed tightly.
They were all adults. Even without seeing what was happening inside, the sounds made it clear.
Lika felt chilled to the bone.
Probably hearing the commotion, the man beneath Thea pushed her off, didn't even have time to pull up his pants, shoved through the crowd and ran out, disappearing in a flash, leaving only Thea behind.
Thea fell to the ground, the pain instantly sobering her up.
"Don't look, get out."
"Get out!"
Thea's terrified screams came from the room as she desperately pulled at her torn dress to cover herself.
How did this happen?
Why did it turn out like this?
Thea collapsed on the floor, unable to cover her naked body no matter how hard she tried, sitting there in complete humiliation, wishing she were dead.
"Thea!" Timothy's voice was full of rage. "You're absolutely disgusting."
"No, it's not like that." Thea's face was covered in tears, her mind completely blank, having no idea what to do.
"Cheating before marriage, that's so disgusting. And doing it with another man in her own fiancé's room—is she looking for thrills or what?"
"So shameless. Earlier she kept going on about how Ava stole her fiancé, but turns out she's the one messing around with other men. Talk about the thief crying thief."
"Exactly. She was moaning so loudly just now. Timothy is so pitiful. He should break off the engagement with this kind of woman immediately."
"Shut up, all of you shut up! I didn't, I didn't! It was her, she set me up." Thea rushed toward Ava, pointing her finger viciously at her. "You bitch, you were supposed to be the one in this room."
"It should be you, you should be the one in this state. Ava, you ruined me."
Thea roared loudly.
"Thea, shut up!"
Lika broke out in a cold sweat at Thea's words and quickly grabbed her hand. "Shut up. Whatever it is, we'll talk about it when we get back."
Everything was ruined for Thea, all ruined. She suddenly shook off Lika's hand, her eyes bloodshot, rage making her lose all reason.
"It was you, Lika. It was all your idea. Why wasn't it you who got raped?"
Lika's face turned deathly pale.
"What's going on? I'm confused by how this is developing."
"Lika's idea? What idea?"
At this point, someone smart pieced things together and spoke up.
"This whole thing was someone trying to set up and frame Ava, right? That's why the waiter was so certain it was Ava who entered Mr. King's room.
What he never expected was that Ava had been with Briar the whole time. With Briar as a witness, his lie fell apart."
"So who set it up?"
"Didn't she just say it? It was Lika's idea."
"Wait, but downstairs just now, Lika was defending Ava the whole time."
"Who knows? Anyone can put on an act. These two have been slandering Ava since the beginning of the party. They probably have a grudge against Ava and deliberately framed her."
Some openly contemptuous looks turned toward Lika.
Cold sweat poured down Lika's face, her entire body seized by a chill.
She bit down hard on her back teeth, suddenly stepped forward, and grabbed Thea. "Thea, are you crazy? What are you babbling about? You did something shameless yourself, and now you want to drag me down with you? How can you be so vicious?
What scheme? What frame-up? I've been advising you to have self-respect and dignity. But what about you? What have you done? What you've done has brought shame upon the entire Ellis family.
How is Grandpa supposed to face people now? Are you trying to make Grandpa die of anger? You'd better tell the truth now and apologize properly, or when this gets bigger, I won't be able to help you either."
Thea froze in complete disbelief, never expecting Lika would say such things.
She was pushing all the blame onto her.
And she was threatening her—if she kept making a scene, she'd leave her to fend for herself.
She would completely become the Ellis family's stain, the Ellis family's abandoned child.
No, she didn't want that. Thea's face turned ashen.
Standing at the door, Ava suddenly let out a cold laugh.
How clever.
Washing her hands clean of everything while threatening Thea.
