As I was keeping my books the girls beside me who were also keeping their books in their locker started saying something which spiked up my interest and I started listening to their conversation. I never eavesdrop on other people's conversation but when they said something along the lines of 'new boy' I just couldn't help but to listen. "Yeah, I heard he's coming back." "Oh my god, I still can't believe." "I heard he's ten times more hot than he was before." "I wish he notice -" I closed my locker shut as i found them talking about a boy and how hot he is which I have no interest in. Yes, I would like to know who the 'new hot boy' is but their conversation was going totally off the track. I started walking towards the cafeteria. I entered the cafeteria, grabbed whatever I want to eat which was a sandwich, fries and yogurt then started walking towards my ever-happy friend who was waving at me and motioned me to come over. I shook my head at her behaviour because we always sit there and she was acting as if I am new here. Hmm, I have ask about that new kid to her because that girls were saying he's coming back but I've joined this school from Junior year and Hannah was here from freshmen year. So she might know him. "Hi." I greeted everyone that was on our table. "Hey, cupcake." Jack got up from his seat to give me a hug and a peck on my cheek. He's like an older brother I never had and he too treats me like his sister. Jack Cole plays for the school football team and he's very popular. He has blond hair, hazel eyes, he is tall and buff. He sometimes sit with us but mostly with his friends that is, his teammates. "Heyo, butter." I grimaced at the nickname given to me by Ashley, our other close friend. She got up and hugged me after Jack released me from his hug. She calls me butter because as she quote, 'I'm as soft as a butter'. I don't know what she meant by that. Ashley Brown is beautiful and stands at the height of 5'7 . When I first met her I found her quite intimidating but now I know better. She has short black hair that reaches her shoulder, brown eyes and she loves sports. She's an athlete. She released me and started munching on her fries. When Jack isn't there she takes his role of protecting us as there are people who can hurt us, Ashley's words not mine. Like who would want to hurt us? We were just a bunch of teenagers and it's not like we have rich parents. "... new kid?" I heard someone from somewhere near our table. Yes, new kid. I faced Hannah who was talking animatedly with Jack. "Hannah." I called out her name to get her attention. She faced me and smiled as if urging me to continue. "I heard some girls near my locker talking about a new kid." She just raised an eyebrow for me to continue so I did, "And also they were saying about how he's back. So I was wondering who he is?" I asked her curiously. She exhaled loudly but her face held excitement as if she had a lot of explaining to do, Jack's face was neutral while Ashley was busy munching on her sandwich. "So you heard it too?" Jack asked more like stated it. I nodded my head. I looked at Hannah then at Jack eagerly waiting for them to tell me who he was. "His name is Zander, Zander king. And yes, what you heard is right. He's back. He started his freshmen year here and he is rich, like Mega rich. He became popular at once and also it doesn't help that he's got looks that could drop a girl's pan-." She stopped suddenly as Jack glared at her. She smiled sheepishly and murmured a sorry. "Drop a girl's...." I dragged out that sentence for her to Continue. "Yeah, he have godly looks and just like his surname people treat him like a king. And who won't he practically grew up in a mansion, surrounded by people who does everything he says in a snap of his finger. But he left suddenly after completing his freshmen year and nobody know where he went but people say he went to Britain while some say he was sent to Italy, but no one knows for sure, except his friends." Hannah said excitedly as if she was so happy to talk about him. "His friends?" I inquired. "Yes, his friends and just like him they too are rich. You know them right. Ryan, Kyle and Dylan." She said the name Dylan with a sly smirk and wiggled her eyebrows at me. I blushed and looked down at my hands while whispering, "What?" She started laughing at my reaction even Jack and Ashley joined her. "It's not what you guys are thinking." I mumbled. Dylan is cute and he even helped me once. And yes, I get nervous around him or even when he's at least 5 meters away from me. But it's not like he reciprocate my feelings and also this feeling will go away soon. "But it's not confirmed yet." Ashley suddenly piped in and I noticed her tray was wiped clean not even a trace of food could be seen. All three pairs of eyes stared at her. She shrugged nonchalantly and said, "All these news about him coming back to our school might be a rumour. You know how girls in our school are. They tend to exaggerate every little thing they hear." She finished her little speech and looked at us blankly. "Maybe." Hannah mumbled looking disappointed at Ashley's assumptions. And Jack being Jack just shrugged his shoulders. Hmm... It might be a rumour after all. *** The day dragged by and in no time it was the already the last period. Brinnngggggg.... Everyone stood up as soon as they heard the last bell and started running towards the door. "Let's go home." Hannah started dragging me out of the classroom. "I'm soooooo tired." Hannah groaned dragging the o to show her tiredness. Someone suddenly pop in between us and held our shoulders. I grinned widely at Jack and Ashley who was walking beside me now. "So you guys going home?" I asked Jack and Ashley. "No." Both of them said and sigh in unison. When they realised what they did they both glared at each other but said nothing. Hannah was giggling at their childish behaviour. And I was trying to be a good friend and not laugh out loud. "I'll see you guys tomorrow." Ashley waved at us and turned around the corridor towards the gym. "See you." We said one after the other. When we stepped out of the school doors and towards the parking lot Jack too said he have practice and gave us both a peck on the cheek then went his way. And that's when I noticed Dylan, he was with his friends Kyle and Ryan. Dylan is different than Kyle and Ryan. He gives off a good vibe unlike Kyle and Ryan. Whenever I'm at their noticeable distance I run the other way. They scare me but with Dylan it's different. As if he felt my stare he looked at me and nod his head as if to acknowledge me with a small smile. I blushed at his attention and gave him a small wave. Hannah noticed this little exchange between us as she smirked but said nothing for which I was glad. I quickly got in her car and she followed suit then she drove us home. After 10 minutes she was pulling up at my front porch. "I'll see you tomorrow Amy." She said hugging me. I hugged her back and said, "See ya." I got out of her car and waved at her. She waved back and drove away. I started walking towards my front door and took the key out of my backpack and unlocked the door. I entered and locked the door behind me. I started walking when I saw Hulk running towards me with his tongue hanging out looking happy to see me home. I eyes grew wide and I yelled, " Slow Hulky slo-." I couldn't finished my sentence as he already jumped on me and we both land on the floor with a thud. Omph... I groaned this was the third time today.
