Chapter seventy-eighty; Guilty & Quarrels

Chase's POV

Finally it was all over. I didn't kill all of them. Just one. My anger is beginning to be controlled.

While I ran on the treadmill that morning, I couldn't stop myself from thinking about what had happened yesterday. On one thought, I knew those elders deserved it for going behind my back and meeting with Jake. How dare they? Was I no longer feared in the pack?

On another thought I began to worry. How would Arya see me after knowing what I had done? Will she still be understanding like always? I found it weird that I worried about what she thought of me. Well I didn't care but I loved her.

"Your highness" swiftly turning, I saw Angus walk into my room with a towel. This would be the first time he would be late to see me in the morning.

"What happened, you are alright?' I asked. Angus sighed. Then I knew it was relationship issue.

"You want to talk about it?' I asked with a smirk and he shook his head smiling.

"I'm good your highness" he muttered.

Rubbing the towel on my face I looked up. "Alright tell me"

Angus nodded and began to go through the IPad. He frowned.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing really... it's just that you have nothing in your schedule today"

I stared at him with wide eyes. "Are you serious?"

He nodded. "Well you would have had a meeting with the elders over getting a mate but you…" he went silent and looked up at me.

"I killed half of them?" and we laughed. "Well that is what they get for going behind my back. Do you think they deserve it?" I turned to Angus. He tilted his head to a side, putting on his thinking face and then nodded.

"Traitors weaken the strength of a pack. They got what was coming for them. "He said. I smiled. At least someone was not judging me like my conscience. But since when did I become this soft? What was even happening to me?

"But-"I looked up from the clothes I was selecting. Then Angus smiled. "I think you went light on them"

I scrunched up my eyebrow. "Light?"

He nodded. "Yes. The usual Chase king I know would not have killed them like that"

I stopped what I was doing, a slow smirk appeared in my face and I faced Angus. "Hmm what would the usual Chase king had done?" I asked.

Angus stared at me and laughed. It was then I knew that he knew what I was thinking.

2 years back, I wasn't called the alpha beast for nothing. I killed werewolves on a daily, but there was a different way I killed Traitors.

That after my men had beaten them to weakness, I go on and have a small pep talk wit these traitor. I tell them I had forgiven them and they were free to leave. I asked my men to open the gates and then I will tell them to leave. I always allow them to go far and when they might have, I transition and began to kill everyone one of them. The beautiful part of my killing were that they were never the same as the last. I think that was why I had little to no traitors but there was always one person that liked the scape goat.

"Get out of here" I flung a belt at Angus and we both burst into laughter.

"You remember" I said.

"How can I forget?" he asked. We went on to talk about other things. Suddenly Angus raised an eyebrow.

"your highness, you have no schedule, where then are you going to?' he asked. I looked at him and chuckled as I tucked in my shirt.

"We are not babies Angus. I think you know where I am headed" and Angus smiled.

"Who is there?" the sweet voice from inside yelled.

"Open up babe" and almost immediately the door was open.

"Chase?" I stared into her face and was smiling.

"Yes?" Arya smiled. "Any problem my love?"

She shook her head smiling. "Nothing at all. It's just that you look dashing" she blushed.

"Oh really?"

"Yes" her voice. I still didn't understand why she was shy complimenting me. As for me, if I see her in anything, I'll be singing her praises.

"So why don't you come over here and give me a hug" Arya blushed. She moved into y rams and I hugged her. It was so comforting. So sweet. Where was she all my life?

When I released her, she shyly looked into my eyes. "Did you sleep well?" she asked and I nodded. She immediately left my arms but I drew her back. She laughed.

"Chase what are you doing?"

"You haven't kissed me" and then I slammed my lips on hers. We walked into the new house, drunk in our love. I led her to the room and the rest was history.

I opened my eyes to find Arya staring lovingly at me. I smiled.

"You awake babe?"

"Yeah' came that sweet voice.

"You've been ware for a day, what have type been busy with?"

Does it mean she doesn't know about the traitor killing by me, I wondered how she would take it. Well I should just tell her and get it over with. I dragged her closer and snuggled. She laughed.

"Tell me" she said.

"okay." I sighed sitting up. "I had to attend to a case of some traitor in the pack"

"Did you kill them?" she asked. I scrunched up a brow. Why did she have to ask that? Like that.

I nodded. "Yes"

Immediately Arya sat up. "Why!"

My eye widened. "Huh"

"You heard me! Haven't you killed enough? Do you not have a space in your heart to forgive? "

"My love they are traitors"

"Who cares what they are. You don't always have to be a killer" that was when I sprang up.
