Chapter 111

Lucian maneuvered around the closed room.

He had an angry expression on his face.

Damian's victory over his warriors had upset him badly and worst of all Julie.

He wasn't willing to take defeat. The idea of preparing another scheme crosses his mind and he must act fast. Although, he was still excited that he knew Julie was alright and still in the palace.

Now that he knows she is in this palace, his aim for looking no id

ea for her is half fulfilled.

He had admired her courage of running away and hiding from sight. Now all he have to do, is to find her first or Damian would gain greater advantage again.

He can't let that happen no matter what.

He peeped his head out of the door to confirm a clear path before walking out.

***Damian's eyes locked onto the sound. "That's her," he whispered, his voice trembling with excitement. "Let's go."***

***Damian and his soldiers took off in a sprint, racing down the dark corridor. Their footsteps echoed off the walls as they chased after Julie.***

***Damian's heart pounded in his chest. He was determined to catch her. He could feel it, myshe was close.***

***The soldiers were right behind him, their flashlights bobbing up and down as they ran. The beam of light danced across the walls, illuminating the dusty stones.***

***They turned a corner, and Damian saw a glimpse of Julie's dress ahead. "I see her!" he shouted, pumping his arms harder.***

***The soldiers surged forward, their boots thundering on the floor. They were gaining on Julie. Damian could feel it. He was going to catch her.***

Lucian moved stealthily through the palace corridors, his eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of movement. He had been searching for some time now and his heart was pounding in his chest with anticipation.

Lucian's footsteps were silent on the tiled floor as he made his way deeper into the palace rooms.

He had a feeling that Julie was hiding somewhere in a secret location.

The alpha felt like he wasn't really looking enough.

He suddenly paced quickly into the basement.

He descended down the stairs hurriedly and made a run forward.

As he turned a corner, Lucian caught a whiff of something unusual - a scent that was both familiar and yet, utterly alien. His heart skipped a beat as he recognized the smell of a werewolf's fur.

Lucian's eyes narrowed as he followed the scent, his senses on high alert. He knew that he was getting close, and his excitement grew with every step.

Suddenly, he heard a faint noise coming from a corner to his left. Lucian's head snapped towards the sound, his ears perked up like a wolf on the hunt.

He approached the door slowly, his hand on the handle, ready to burst in at a moment's notice. Lucian took a deep breath, steeling himself for what he might find on the other side of the door.

With a quiet turn of the handle, Lucian pushed open the door, his eyes scanning the room for any sign of Damian as the scent belongs to him.

As he got in, he saw nothing but heard running sounds from above.

He heard Julie's scream admist running foot.

As Lucian heard Julie's scream, his heart skipped a beat. He immediately sprang into action, his senses on high alert. With a burst of supernatural speed, he sprinted through the Basement's corridors, his feet pounding the marble floor.

Lucian's eyes scanned the area, his gaze darting back and forth as he searched for any sign of Julie. He could feel his heart racing in his chest, his mind consumed by a single thought: he had to get to her.

As he turned a corner, Lucian caught sight of a group of Damian's soldiers, their eyes fixed menacingly on something ahead. Lucian's instincts told him that Julie was in grave danger, and he knew he had to act fast.

Without hesitation, Lucian launched himself at the soldiers, his fangs bared and his claws extended. He tore through the group with ease, his supernatural strength sending them flying. The soldiers were no match for Lucian's ferocity, and they quickly retreated in disarray.

As the last soldier fell, Lucian's eyes locked onto Julie's figure, her back against the wall as she faced off against Damian. Lucian's heart swelled with a mix of fear and determination. He knew he had to get to Julie before Damian could harm her.

With a fierce growl, Lucian charged forward, his eyes fixed intently on Damian. He was ready to do whatever it took to protect Julie.

"Let go of her!" Lucian instructed and reviewed his claws.

"So clever of you to pose as my soldier" Damian remarked Lucian's cleverness.

He had his hands on Julie's neck, while her back was against the wall.

His claws was also out, his eyes seemed to have a furious look.

"Would you really hurt her?" Lucian asked him.

"Of course! She doesn't love me after all" Damian replied.

"That's---Not true!" Julie struggled to say.

"Then, why do you avoid me?" Damian questioned.

Damian's face, once a picture of fierce determination and unyielding strength, now wore a mask of profound sadness. His piercing red eyes, which had once gleamed with a feral intensity, had dimmed, like two candles flickering in the wind.

His eyebrows, once straight and unyielding, now furrowed in concern, casting a shadow over his eyes. His jaw, once set in a firm line, now hung slack, as if the weight of his emotions had become too much to bear.

A deep crease etched its way across his forehead.

His lips, curled downward, forming a sorrowful bow.

Even his breathing seemed labored, as if the very act of drawing air into his lungs had become a chore. His chest rose and fell with a slow, mournful cadence, like the tolling of a funeral bell.

Julie away and shut her eyes. "You used to be good", she spoke with a calm voice.

"You were Ben, but I lost Ben a long time ago" she spoke softly with her voice mellow.

"Don't do this Damian" Lucian pleaded with him.

"Stay out of my way Lucian, it's best none of us have her" Damian suggested.

"No Damian please!" Lucian pleaded with his palms against each other. "I'll give you the book of spells if you let her go" Lucian insisted.

Damian scoffed mockingly and rejected Lucian's offer.

Lucian's eyes widened in horror as he gazed upon Damian's sorrowful expression and fixed mindset. His own face contorted in a mixture of shock, concern, and devastation. History Inlips parted, as if he were about to speak, but no words came out.

He wondered what he could do to convince Damian to let Julie go.

Lucian's eyes seemed dull and lifeless.

His eyebrows to be furrowed in distress, casting a deep shadow over his eyes. His jaw hung slack, as if he had been punched in the gut and was struggling to catch his breath.

Lucian's entire being seemed to radiate an aura of despair, as if he were witnessing a tragedy unfold before his very eyes. He took a step forward, his hand reaching out as if to comfort Damian, but his legs seemed to falter, and he stumbled.

For a moment, Lucian just stood there, frozen in place, his eyes fixed upon Damian's devastated expression. Then, as if he had been snapped out of a trance, he took a deep breath and nodded sideways.

Damian smiled mischievously and immediately, new coups arrived and took hold of Lucian forcefully.

Lucian didn't seem to struggle with the soldiers.

They began to take him away forcefully out sight.

"Damian! Julie is pregnant with your child" Lucian confessed to him. " How did you two make loved ububi into each other huh!" Lucian suddenly let out fury.

"She had lost her memory then idiot!" Damian yelled at him.

He looked pretty furious himself.

"Take him out of my sight!" Damian commanded.

Lucian was dragged away to be locked up in a cell.

"Please don't hurt her" Lucian pleaded once more.

"Are you really going hurt your own child?" Julie questioned while she looked him in the eyes.

Damian's eyes blazed with a fierce intensity as he gazed at Julie, his body tense and coiled with restrained fury. He took a step closer to her, his hands clenched into fists, his claws extended and ready to strike.

But as he looked into Julie's eyes, something unexpected happened. Damian's anger and aggression seemed to falter, his resolve weakening in the face of Julie's calm and serene expression.

It seems his feelings for her was still the same.

He tried to summon the will to hurt her, to unleash the full fury of his werewolf strength upon her. But his body seemed to refuse to obey him, his muscles locked in a paralysis of indecision.

Damian's face contorted in a mixture of frustration and confusion, his eyes flashing with a desperate longing to break free from the constraints that held him back. He took another step closer to Julie, his claws still extended, but his movements slow and hesitant.

And then, in a moment of stark realization, Damian understood the truth. He couldn't hurt Julie, no matter how hard he tried. Something deep within him, something fundamental to his very being, refused to allow him to cause her harm.

With a low growl of frustration, Damian turned away from Julie, his claws retracting as he struggled to come to terms with the conflicting emotions that tore at his heart. He knew that he had to find a way to reconcile his feelings, to reconcile his love for Julie with his duty to protect his

pack. But for now, he was trapped in a prison of his own making, unable to move forward, unable to hurt the one person he loved.
