Chapter 58!

Kyros POV:

I knew I shouldn’t have left her out of my sight for even a second. But I thought she would be safe here. There were no indicators that anyone was following us.

I’ve been looking everywhere for her but with her scent gone, it's been quite difficult. Ezra finding out sent him on another psychotic spree.

The king has sent guards to keep an eye on him and any werewolf villages. He’s gone crazy trying to look for her. But honestly I completely understand. I want to be able to lose control like he did.

Her being taken and possibly in pain, scares the shit out of me. She’s not here with me where I can keep her safe. Things have been changing for her and she wasn’t as open with me. I feel like I let her down. I didn’t make her feel like she could trust me.

Ezra got in the way of that. He kept coming around. I saw the way she would sometimes look at him. She would ask him to leave but I could see her warming up to him. At first I was hoping he had taken her. That she was somewhere else with him but safe. But I knew that was only wishful thinking.

If we don’t find her soon then I fear we may not find her in good condition. I haven’t slept at all since she was taken. My muscles are tense and I ache from Ezra going crazy on me. But I didn’t try to stop him because I felt like I deserved it.

We made it to Crown Diamond. I’m going to take some guards and make search teams. We need to find Elise.

“Kyros, I think maybe we should join teams with Ezra. I know it’s not ideal but he’s looking for her too,” says Hunter. He yells out when Cassian slaps the back of his head. “Look, I know it’s not the best option. But he seems to feel her pain. Maybe the more pain he’s in the closer we are to her.”

“He would never agree to do that. We all know that,” says Ezekiel.

“What happens if he finds her first,” asked Cassian. I growl at the thought.

“He wouldn’t let her out of his sight,” I say.

“But he wouldn’t hurt her, would he,” asked Cassian.

“I don’t think he would with the way he is reacting to her being taken. We need to find her,” says Ezekiel.

“I’m not teaming up with him. We can find her on our own. We don’t need him,” I huffed out. I march my way to the castle. There, guards meet me at the doors.

“Sir, we have put some teams together under the king's words. What would you like us to do,” asked one of the guards.

“Ezekiel, go over the plan with the guards. I have something I need to do first,” I ordered.

I marched up the stairs until I got to the room I was heading towards. There sitting on the windowsill is Lucy.

“Why are you here, Kyros,” I heard her small voice call out.

“I needed to see you before I had a complete meltdown,” I answered her honestly.

“Big bad Kyros, having a meltdown? Not possible,” she teases.

“She was taken from me. She’s in danger and I can’t do anything about it,” I say as I kneel in front of her.

“She is in a lot of pain from what I can see. But I don’t think I should tell you everything. I don’t want to make you crazier than you already are,” she says. She finally turns and looks down at me. “Kyros, things aren’t looking good for her. Whoever has her is so cruel.”

“Can you see where she is, Lulu,” I ask her gently. When her eyes narrowed and her frown grew, I knew my answer.

“Who ever he is, has a lot of dark magyck on his side. He is disguising himself and her very well. I can still see her very tiny slimmer in the full picture but I can hear her voice and his. I don’t recognize his voice anywhere. But Kyros, time is ticking,” she says.

“Lulu, what am I going to do,” I asked her. I can feel my chest aching, my eyes water. Lucy wipes at my eyes.

“She means a lot to you doesn’t she,” she asked.

“You have no idea, Lulu. I’ve never felt this way for anyone. The more time I spent with her the more my heart opened up. She means so much to me,” I say. I lean my head down on her leg. In an instant I feel my body calming down. I know Lucy is working her magyck on me.

“What happens if this curse is ever broken? What happens when you find your fated mate,” Lucy asks me, her fingers running through my hair. She always knows how to calm me down when I need it the most.

“I don’t think that's what I should be worried about. I think you should ask me instead, what happens when she goes back to the realm she came from,” I huffed out. I let out a humorless chuckle.

“Kyros, did you ever tell her how you felt,” she asks me softly.

“Not completely,” I tell her. I hear her let a small curse escape her lips. “I didn’t want her to think I was being selfish. She has to make the decision on her own. So far she has made it clear that she wants to go home. How can I stop her?”

“Just be honest with her. I believe it in my heart that she will be found. But she must be taken care of and shown lots of love. She will not trust anyone for a long while. That man is doing a lot of damage to her,” Lucy explains.

“I think I’m in love with her, Lulu,” I burst out saying.
