Out of the Shadows

Suddenly his focused shifted, they started to flinch as if they were just seeing the light for the first time in years. It was as if scales had fallen from his eyes, and he was finally able to see for the first time.

“Raven?” he said like he was seeing a ghost.

“Did you forget me? Of course you did, I was only your doctor but, you never gave me any attention! Even when I tried to tell you not to trust Sinclaire, I could feel something wrong in my core, I told you he threatened me, that he threatened Emberly, you refused to listen to me!”

“Do not talk to me about that devil! You have no idea what I went through when you left wherever you went”

“I found my mate, I found Alistair, and I came here. You know this, You were the one who gave me your blessing.” He was shaking his head, it was like she was stirring his memory.

“I know full well what happened. I Saw It!” He was looking at her incredulously.

“That’s impossible!” he said shaking his head. Refusing to still believe her.

“Is it? I’m a twin, Twin powers remember! Do you have any idea what happened to your wife! What that sick Fucker did! Do you have any idea how painful it is to mentally watch as he beat her and took her sex over and over before he knocked her out!” I could see his eyes a blaze with fury.

“Do you know how much pain I was in, how much my body hurt, how badly I screamed as I saw him physically devour her! I felt every bite! I felt the feeling of his teeth! Alistair was trying to control my screams as he tore the flesh off her bones, I sobbed as I felt her life connection snap. I watched as he ate your wife and children, and I could not do ANYTHING! TO STOP IT! My Fucking Sister!” She creamed at him. He looked in agony, he keeled over and threw up in the cell as she painted the picture. When he finished there was a new crazed look in his eyes. His wolf was out and wanted blood for the first time in ages.

“I had no idea, I only saw the smoke, I knew that they were all dead. I did try to avenge her. Lucius and his wolves found me in the forest. They beat the shit out of me. I could a number of them however, one of them came up from behind, stabbed me in the back with a dagger dipped in Wolfsbane and threw me through a portal. I landed here. Last I saw before the portal closed was him smiling and my house ablaze.” Verona started to weep. His eyes shifted to the darkness trying to see us. Aunt Raven rolled her eyes.

“You need to go back, you need to kill them all! You have no idea what has been done. Your daughters are alive, Verona is severely abused. The twins were put into hiding. I just found out that they escaped when Sinclaire began is attack.” Something in his eyes began to dawn like the rising sun.

“The emergency trap door! Dear God! Yes, one was underneath their bed! Please tell me they are alright!” He began to beg.

“I don’t know dad, you would know, I mean you did try to kill me!” I spoke with venom as I walked out of the shadows with Verona.

He looked at me and at Verona like he had seen a ghost for a moment before horror shined on his face. I could see his mind spinning. He was thinking about the night I disappeared. How he tried to buy me and tried to rape me. Realizing who I was now, he turned green in the face and started to throw up again.

He stood still and looked like he was going to faint when he was looking at us. “Where is Minerva!” he demanded with a growl. His wolf coming forward.

“She’s still there, someone found her as a little one and took her in, in a different pack, raised but, she’s still close to them, we sent someone to retrieve her.” He nodded his head. It looked like hope was filling his eyes. He looked at us in longing. He sniffed the air, then he looked at Verona.

“Vera! Where is your wolf!” he growled. She paled, not knowing what to say to him.

“Her wolf is dead, Lucius killed her! Said that a female should be a submissive and remember her place belongs in servitude to the Alpha in bed, not an Alpha herself” Verona looked at me in shock while she was in tears. Carter started to shake in rage. He roared so loud and strong we feared the dungeons were going to collapse. His eyes were black. His wolf was present and very pissed off.

“You need to reclaim your pack!” I told him. he snarled at me.

“You know nothing of how they are. I don’t even know where you went or how you found your sister” he said dismissively.

“I was there, I moved to Portland, met Travis Luthor who I did not know was Lucius’s son. That’s how I met her, that’s how I got her out. He damn near killed me. I don’t know Lucius figured out after so many years who I was but, he did. He tried to kill me and I fought him. We’re both being hunted. When she found that room, she went berserk and attacked him. Lucius ordered her execution for attacking him. Damien found us and used a portal to help us flee here.”

“I will have to thank him now” he said with a smile. “What room?” is said suspiciously. I gulped cause I did not know how he was going to take this, would he break out of the cell? Would he throw up again?
