CHAPTER 25
BLAIR POINT OF VIEW
The ride home was quite lonely. I had taken the plane with Ronan, but as soon as we got to the airport, he took a cab after one of his biker brothers called him. So, I had to ride back to the Alpha pack house alone.

Riding alone, I tried—yes, I tried—not to think of what I had seen earlier when I got back to our matrimonial home.

I know it's done, but I'm just so sad about how fast it ended after everything I had poured into us, after everything I had done for it to work out.

He'd moved her into our matrimonial room and then moved my things out to the guest room.

I should have known. He now stays at home and is no longer busy with work, so I don’t see him for weeks.

Funny how he could now have sex and lay naked on a scorching afternoon.

He’d never do that with me, even if I begged. He always said he was busy, and I believed him.

I am a guest in my own home, and honestly, I can’t wrap my head around it, no matter how hard I try.

All those times Dominus promised we were going to work things out and make a fantastic family—guess he was lying his ass off, just waiting for when his mate would show up so he could snatch her back and toss me to the curb.

As we drove, I narrowed my eyes outside, and tears rolled down my cheeks.

Glad it ended. I just miss my baby and hate that I lost my womb.

No one knows about this yet, and it hurts. It’s even more heartbreaking that I have always wanted to have my own babies, and he let them take out my womb.

No matter how hard I tried to hold them back, tears still rolled down my cheeks.

The driver noticed but didn’t say a word. Glad he didn’t—I love when people mind their business.

And I also hope he never tells anyone, not Ronan and not Darius.

It was just a fleeting moment of farewell; I don’t want anyone to pity me or think I’m always crying.

I hated being pitied, and in as much as I am a victim right now, I also hate being the victim.

After a few minutes, we finally got to the pack house, and I quickly wiped my tears.

The last thing I need right now is for Darius to see me crying.

I stepped out of the car and picked just my handbag; they'd take the rest to my room.

The room I’d be staying in. I also do not plan to stay here for long.

I will ask Ronan to fund an agent to get me a house miles away from the Alpha home.

Exhausted, I walked straight into the pack house, and the first person I saw was Darius walking down the stairs.

Once he saw me, his face lit up immediately. “Welcome back home, Blair.”

I scoffed. This is not my home. Right now, I do not have a home. I’ll create one for myself soon.

One that brings me peace and has no male figure in the picture—not Ronan, not Darius, and sure as hell, not Dominus.

Darius took the last few steps down the staircase, his shoes making a resounding echo against the well-polished floor.

Before I could take a step backward, he closed the distance between us. His arms came around me in a firm and suffocating hug that I didn’t ask for.

I shrugged slightly, putting a small smile on my lips. “Darius…” I whispered, hoping he remembered where we were.

His security was stationed at every corner, and they were all watching, though they pretended to look away.

Looking away doesn’t mean they’re not watching; it just means respect.

I’m in the middle of a pack house where hundreds of cameras are spinning, and he chooses to hug me so tightly.

“D-d-darius,” I murmured desperately. “We’re in the pack house. Stop it.”

“My pack house,” he replied, his tone edged with mockery.

I shrugged again, but his grip only tightened. My body went stiff as stone.

Oh my… I don’t want this. I came to run his campaign, but if he can’t keep his hands to himself, we’d end up ruining it.

“Let me go, Darius,” I said quietly. “Let me go. All of them are watching. Your agents are watching.”

He didn’t move. Instead, he chuckled. “Yet again, my agents.”

“Please, don’t do this right now.” I tried to twist away, but he was stronger.

I stopped trying to wiggle myself out of his embrace, but my chest still tightened with panic.

I didn’t try to force it anymore, and for a moment, he just resisted and stayed that way.

Dammit. My heart is about to explode in my chest until the sharp click of a heel against the marble stairs echoed.

Darius quietly let me go, and when I looked up, it was his wife, Seraphina, walking down the stairs.
