Chapter 33
Legaxy
It's been a whirlwind of events this past few months…
Yes, my hair was still white and when I asked my family about it, they don't have any answers.
We tried to dye it back to black but it's no use. The dye, both in powder or liquid, doesn't bind with my locks.
So, we just left it like that.
Then, there's the relationship with Theo. I have been on several dates with him and it was fun, to some extent.
Not that I don't like the man's sweetness and kindness, it's just that whenever we end our date, I have this feeling of wanting to die after.
I don't know how to put it but it was like a feeling of betraying someone… and I don't know who I was cheating on.
Until my eyes landed on the Alpha King.
He had been staying at the resort for over a month now and I heard he had extended his stay for more than two months.
Unlike Theo, I kind of find a liking to the Alpha King in a way that is beyond the scope of a crush or a puppy love.
No, it was more than that…
Whenever we lock eyes or touch skin, since I have been back to doing room monitoring — one of my daily tasks, sparks fly. Like electric current flowing through cables and wires.
It's both painful and bliss.
And sometimes, out of nowhere, these erotic events with him — especially when I'm in the middle of doing work, keeps on flashing in my head that it's starting to disturb my job.
Let alone my relationship with Theo.
Sure, I could tell I am falling for Theo since he's been patient with me and has been romantic throughout the courtship but with the Alpha King, there's something about him that I feel connected with.
Wait, does this mean I am falling in —
“Dyme! Now, sing now…” Ms. Dawn, as supportive as she was, started signaling me to sing and that's when I realized that the song was on.
Bless her for it.
Thankfully, I was on cue and after the interlude of the song, I started singing.
Currently, there's a wedding happening at the resort. Since I was a singer, Ms. Daw thought that I could take this opportunity and give myself a break from all the hotel work.
Of course, I accepted and here I am singing a wedding song.
As the bride walks through the aisle, I was starting to zone out on my own, and guess who popped inside my head as I imagined myself getting married?
If it's the Alpha King, then you're wrong — No, I'm just kidding.
Yes, it's him.
It was weird at first because it should have been Theo, right?
I mean, we are the ones dating and trying to work out a relationship but when thinking about marriage, it's the Alpha King that appeared in my head.
What's really about this man that had me feeling like this?
Like, being on a level of serenity and peace every time my thoughts are filled with him…
Like, being on a different level of contentment and just being WHOLE.
As if he… COMPLETES me.
Shit!
These feelings, these sparks… does that mean I am, in a way, sort of… his?
No, I am just imagining stuff.
Yeah, I am…
Or am I?
After fifteen minutes, I didn't wait for the wedding to end as I escaped to go to the beach.
I have been doing this lately since the two men occupied my mind… helps me clear my head and all.
Suddenly, I feel a presence behind me and when I turned, I found the three broad men following me.
“You know, it's dangerous to sneak up on me like that… might throw some sand on your faces if I got spook,” I stated earning a chuckle from the three.
“Our bad, My Lady.” The brown-headed guy, who I knew was Lucky, said with a soft smile.
“It's not our intention to sneak up, Ms. Dyme. We just wanted to walk by the beach as well.” The blonde man, named Jay, reasoned and I raised a skeptical eyebrow at him.
“Don't believe him, Legaxy, he's just saying that out of formality.” The black-headed guy who's named Rocky said with a roll of his eyes.
I chuckled and motioned the boys to walk beside me.
Oh, did I mention that these warriors are close to me?
Funny how things transpired from being strangers to friends, but they are the best company I could ever ask for.
Sure the Alpha King asked them to guard me, for whatever reason, at some point but I found out that it's just because the three wanted to be friends.
Or so I thought as the current conversation took place between us.
“Can I confess something to you guys?” I started with a wary smile.
The three boys halted their steps and, in sync, faced me. They all then nodded for me to continue.
“I have these weird… feelings, emotions towards the Alpha King and since I don't have that much knowledge about mates, could you help…” I trailed off as I noticed the boys' smug faces.
I blushed bright red.
“You know what, never mind.”
I then was about to run off when I heard Rocky said the words that stunned me to the core.
“You felt that way because you're his mate, our Luna,” he tells.
And there goes a sound of a hand smacking a head, followed by an ‘Ow!’.
I turned, wide-eyed, at the boys and found Lucky glaring Rocky and Jay's hand returning to his side — he smacked Rocky.
“Is it true?” I asked the two men who were avoiding my eyes.
“It's not our position to tell anything, My Lady,” Lucky said with a bow.
“And not our right to spill the beans, Ms. Dyme. We are very sorry.” Jay apologized and bowed as well.
“But, if I was his mate, why didn't he told me?” I inquired, eyeing the boys.
The three looked at each other and then their eyes landed on me, a cautious look was present.
“Because you don't remember him, Ms. Dyme.” Jay started.
“Remember him? What do you mean remember him? Can you be more specific?” I rapid-fire him.
“You already met him five years ago, Legaxy. He claimed you but did not mark or mate you, yet…” Rocky stated.
“Three years ago, we lost you My Lady to a war. I know that you know what kind of war it was.” Lucky sighs and runs a hand through his hair, “we saw you fall from that cliff, and seeing you here, it kinda shocks us. Especially, the King.”
I was shocked hearing this that I started to tear up.
The boys began to panic.
“So, does that mean, I'm not his second chance mate?” I chirped, trying to keep the tears from falling.
“No, you're his TRUE mate,” Lucky replied and that made me sobbed.
So it is real.
I am really… his.
That means, all the feelings that I was feeling for him were true and genuine.
But that leads me to the question of who I was… Before all of this.
The Alpha King and I were mates, who were separated by war and further detached through a death which later was found as false.
Who really am I?
Without another word, I found myself running away from the three men.
They didn't follow and for that, I was grateful for I don't know how I would react to what they just told me.
I was happy because I have found some lead about my past, which I clearly don't have any memories of before.
And the episodes, flashes of events inside my head, that I have that I thought belonged to somebody else was actually mine.
However, I'm also confused with all of this…
Someone must have known, let alone had an idea about me.
The mixed-race must have known something about my past and surely they may have smelled me that I belonged to the Alpha King, but why didn't they told me anything?
After explaining to Ms. Dawn about what I just discovered, she advised me strongly to talk to my parents about it and that's what I did.
I took a taxi and headed for home with the mission of learning about my past.
