Chapter 64 - My decision

“Mama, mama!”

I opened my eyes hearing Teddy calling me. It took me a few seconds to realize where I was. My baby boy is sitting on the bed looking at me. Yes, I slept in Teddy's room after coming back from the pack house.

“Mama, please lift your leg. Otherwise you will have body pain.”

Teddy said pointing at my legs. That's when I noticed my sleeping position. The upper part of my body is on the bed and my legs are hanging down. The bed is really small for me as it is Teddy's bed. I got up from the bed and sat on the edge.

“Don't worry, mama is all right.”

“I didn't want to wake you up. But I couldn't lift your legs. That's why I woke you up. I am sorry.” Teddy said,

“Don't say sorry, my boy. You didn't do anything wrong. Thank you for waking me up. By the way, did you brush your teeth?” I asked.

“Yes mama, I did everything.”

“Good boy. Now let's go to Daddy's room. Mama needs to brush and wants to take a nice shower.” I said,

“Is Daddy in his room?” He asked.

“I don't know, I slept with you, my dear. Let's check if he is there or not.”

I got up and walked towards the door with Teddy following me. Teddy took the lead before I reached the door. He ran towards Milano's room and he went in without knocking. He is small and needs to learn good manners like knocking on the door before entering. He never practiced such a thing because it was just the two of us. I need to teach him a lot of things. But all the chaos going on in my life is making me distant from my son. Now I am not able to spend much time with him. I have to solve everything as soon as possible so that I can live a peaceful life with my son and his daddy.

When I entered the room, Teddy was already on the bed waking his daddy. Before I could stop him, Milano woke up. Seeing Teddy, he scooped Teddy up and made him sit on his stomach.

“Hello buddy, how are you?”

“Good morning daddy, I am fine. Daddy, will you take me out?” Teddy asked, making some funny faces.

“Anywhere you say, my son. Where do you want to go?” Milano agreed at once.

“Milano, you have to go to the office. You know Liam is not yet fit to go to the office. One of you has to be there.” I said,

“Relax darling, I can handle everything even if I am not at the office. I know Liam is not there and it is definitely affecting my schedule. But he is getting well and is also managing his part in the office through online mode. Actually Mary deserves the credit for his fast recovery. Our doctors actually recommended more than two months of bed rest for Liam. It's just been less than a week and he has started walking on his own.” Milano said,

“You are right but still you can't take Teddy out. I will take him out and you can go to the office.” I said,

“You are not taking Teddy out on your own. You know we are being watched and it's really dangerous to go out with Teddy alone.” He warned.

“That means it's also dangerous when you take him out. It wasn't me who was attacked a few days back but you.” I said,

“Stop. I don't want to go anywhere. Please don't fight because of me.” Teddy was about to cry.

“Sorry dear, we were not fighting. We are just concerned about your safety. Will it be okay if Daddy takes you out when everything is under control?” I asked.

“Yes mama, can I go and play in the Playroom?” Teddy asked.

“Not now my dear. You will have to have your breakfast and then Aunt Bella will teach you the alphabet. You can go back to school once everything is sorted out.” I said,

“I really miss my school. How long will it take to make everything right?” Teddy asked.

“Just a couple of weeks.” I replied.

“Can I go to granny's room?” He asked.

“Definitely my dear, but remember to knock on the door before you enter.” I said,

Teddy went out of the room leaving just the two of us behind. I had been alone with Milano in this same room before and yet I felt shy. I could feel my cheeks heating up as I could feel his eyes on me. I was sure my face would be red as a tomato.

“Hey beautiful, I really love to see you blushing. Why didn't you come back after seeing Teddy? I waited for you and fell asleep.”

He complained and before I could react he had taken me in his arms. The next thing I knew, his lips were devouring mine. My body started to react instantly on its own accord. The way my body reacted gave him permission to use his hands to caress my body. The way his hands traveled along my body gave me goosebumps. Even though his hands were not touching my skin directly, I could feel the warmth of his hands. The kiss became so intense that I was about to ask him to take me then and there. But we had to stop as we heard a knock at the door. We moved away from each other before the door opened and Teddy came in.

“Mama, I knocked before entering. Did I do it correctly?” Teddy asked.

“Yes, you did the right thing and always remember to knock before you enter.” Milano told him and I felt really proud to teach my son the right thing.

“Mama, granny is not in her room. Only the bad man is there.” Teddy said,

“Bad man? Who is there in Mom's room? Did someone enter the mansion without permission? Let me go and check.” Milano was about to go when Teddy said,

“The bad man lives in this mansion. That's the old man Daddy introduced to me as Grandpa.”

Teddy's words were like a blow to our heads. All the chaos way forgot that Teddy still had a bad impression about his grandfather. He doesn't know what happened to his grandfather which made him behave like a villain.

“Teddy, he is your grandpa. Don't call him by any other name. He is not bad.” I tried to tell him.

“He is not my grandpa. Grandfathers never lie or shout at their grandchildren. Grandfathers are like Grandpa Donald. Grandpa Donald never scolds me or shouts at me.” Teddy said,

“Come here champ.” Milano scooped him up and went and sat on the bed.

“Who am I?” He asked Teddy.

“My daddy”

“Yes, I am your daddy. Am I a bad man?” He asked again.

“No, my daddy is the best man in the world.” Teddy said, hugging his daddy.

“Would you like it if someone comes and tells you that your daddy is a bad man?” Milano asked.

“No, I will beat them.” Teddy said in an angry voice.

“You are doing the same thing, my boy. You are calling my dad a bad man. My dad is the best dad in the world. He is not a bad guy. He is your grandpa and he loves you a lot.” Milano said,

“If he is a good guy then why did he say to me that Mama is not my mother?” Teddy asked.

Milano didn't have an answer to that question. I went forward and knelt down in front of them.

“Your grandpa is a very good person. He was not well when he told you the wrong things. In a way, it wasn't your grandpa who said those things to you. Now he has recovered and is getting well. He loves you a lot and you should go to him.” I said,

“Will you come with me?” Teddy asked.

“Of course we will come with you, my dear. Play with your dad until Mama uses the washroom. Then we will go and meet your grandfather.

“Okay”

After freshening up, I changed my dress and went to meet Milano's father with Teddy. We met his mother on the way. She took us to her room and Teddy met his grandfather. They caught up quickly and I am glad that Teddy will not be alone after I go.

After breakfast, I asked Milano to call a meeting of his family. I asked him to call Liam and Mary too. He wondered why I am calling such a family meeting in such a short time. By eleven, everyone gathered in Milano's parent’s room. I have asked Bella to be with Teddy until we finish the meeting. Liam and Mary were the last ones to come.

“Thank you all for coming on such short notice. I want to tell you all the decisions I have made. But before I tell you anything I want to know about Liam.” I said turning towards Liam and Mary.

“How are you, Liam? I heard that you are having a speedy recovery because of Mary's medicine.” I asked.

“He is fit enough to start a normal life. But I would suggest that he take a few more days off from the office.” Mary said,

“I'm sorry Mary, but Liam has to join back as soon as possible. To carry out my decision I need your help. You all know that my parents were killed in an accident. It wasn't an accident. It was a pre-planned murder. Now it's my duty to bring the culprits out. They have to be punished and for that, I need to go to my kingdom. I can't go alone and I will need Milano's help. I don't know how long it will take me to achieve my goals. But we can't leave this pack without anyone to take care of. There are high chances of being attacked. Mr Raymond is not yet fit to take care of the pack. So I want Liam and Mary to take the responsibility of the pack.” I said,

“You can rely on us. We will take care of the pack in your absence.” Liam said,

“No Liam, I don't want to leave this pack in less powerful hands. You and Mary are capable but not powerful enough to protect the entire pack. Your power is not complete until you mark Mary. She is not yet a hybrid. I know, you want to make it special. But I am sorry I can't wait any longer. Liam, you will have to Mark Mary as soon as possible. We will be leaving at the earliest. I want to leave the responsibility of this pack in very powerful hands.” I said,

“Anything for you, Luna. If you give me the permission I will mark her right here right now.” Liam said,

“No, it's your personal matter and I believe you should do it in private. You can discuss with each other and do things your own way. Both of you will stay at the mansion until we return. Mary, please make sure to protect the mansion with your magic.” I said,

Liam and Mary left after some time and now it's just the family members.

“In the last 3 years, I have never lived a single day without my son. For the first time, I will have to live without him. I can't take the risk of taking him with us. I know you all will take care of him in my absence. But still I am worried. I don't know how he is going to react when I tell him that I am going away from him.” I revealed my worries.

“Don't worry darling, we are all here to take care of him. Just go and pay tribute to your parents. Give them justice and only you can do that.” Grandma encouraged me.

“Yes sweetheart, don't worry about Teddy. Go and make your parents proud.” Milano's parents gave their blessings.
