Thirty Five
Thirty Five
~Raze.
My mood was greatly pummeled with the meeting we had today, there seemed to be lots of uproars coming up from these lower packs that threatened the peace I wanted at this time. This was a no fight period but some lower packs and greedy Alpha's who just wanted power and recognitions dared to send war proposals and termination of the taxes they pay to us.
"You should pay a personal visit to the packs in question and end it once and for all." Zane said beside me as we walked out of the meeting room, his hands were tucked lazily in his pocket, his spine straight and his eyes stared ahead.
"That would do. We have dews on our pride boss and don't you think we need them cleared?" Matthew asked from my right side.
I don't want any violence or bloodshed now, I really didn't want to scare my delicate woman. Smiles, funny how I claimed her without her knowing about it. "We can't attack first. We can overlook the letters but we won't surely overlook spies and rogues that dare to intrude in our territory."
They nodded in understanding, it was late, the moon was out and beautified the night with a glorious scenely. The waters sparkles and the shadows of different objects were spread accorss the packs threshold causing a disorderly but yet intriguing design.
"Just received a report frok the patrol guards." Zane informed. "There are no unusual movements."
I paused on my tracks. As the Alpha I could sense every nook and cranny of the pack with my intense focus. "We need to check it out."
We walked in silence through the pack's gate and into the dark wildlife of our pack. Our eyes pierced through the darkness.
Suddenly there was a mix of aura and strange scents filled the air.
'We have some lackeys on our trails.' Zane opened our mindlink.
'How dare they? Alpha, let me deal with them.' Matthew responded in my head. As the leader of the warriors he had an eviable amount of courage.
'That would be rash and causing a ruckus just near the pack. We'll lure them far deep into the forest till our dump hole.'
They both nodded and we continued our walk, cautiously looking back slightly to avoid being noticed. We turned towards a large opening that had our large dump covered in dry grass.
'In 3, 2, 1.' The three of us leaped over the dump hole and three of their spies fell into the pit, alerting the others causing them to halt on their tracks.
I didn't want violence but tolerating spies and people who had no reverence and respect for my pack wasn't in my agenda.
Suddenly they rushed towards us in a fierce attack. The first man who attacked me aimed a fierce blow at me, I wrapped my hands around the fist turning his fist in the opposite direction, dislocating his arm before disposing him on the floor. I ducked an arrow that was shot from the back, I turned angrily towards him. My fist painfully collided with his jaw and blood spewed out of his mouth. One by one we took them down until they were subdued.
"Who's orders are you working under?" I asked them as they lay sprawled out on the ground, clutching their bashed sides.
"I tried detecting the pack they worked for but for some reasons it was concealed and no relatable trace."
"But it's certain, they are under orders. A group of rogues in their right senes would not attack our pack with just a few men."
I nodded, turning back to them. "Answer me, I won't ask you again."
"W-e are just some rogue…" one replied shakily.
"You still have the guts to lie!" A new voice growled, plunging a sword into the heart of the rogue who spoke. The dropping of the limp body on the floor revealed Darmac with a sword that dropped with blood on his hands.
"Why did you do that!?" I yelled. "Have you forgotten that without my orders you should not act!?"
He shrugged. "I can't help in when you are acting all soft because of a young girl you aren't even sure of her identity."
My nose flared and my hands fisted tight. "What's your deal with Amber? Is there anything you are not letting us know!?"
"Or he's just been an issufferable jerk." Zane said from my side.
"Whatever, we can't let this spies live. " He said , intentionally defying my orders. I wanted to end their life myself but why was he doing this? Why did he kill him without thinking? Was that a bid to silence him? Silence him on what? They have both been behaving weird since they returned from their strange trip. I have been hearing disturbing facts on how they corner Amber at every opportunity they get.
A fierce growl left my throat, my canines creeped out slowly, giving my wolf a good amount of control. "I won't say this again Darmac, get the hell out of here and let me do this. I won't be linient with you if you don't."
He gave me a last glance, stomped his legs on the dead guy and walked off.
"He is slowly losing it daily, don't you think it's tme to make her yours?" Matthew asked.
"Surely he is doing this for the sake of his sister seeing you have given Amber some sort of privilege."
I sighed, walking towards the shaky men who were stricken with fear as one of them laid dead on the ground.
"P-l-ewse don't kill us." One of them begged but I didn't listen nor pay heed to him. I narrowed my eyes at the dead one and the sudden urge of killing the rest crawled to mind.
"Why shouldn't I kill you? You stepped into a forbidden territory and threatened the safety of my pack and you think I'd let you go?" I said.
'Alpha, don't kill them. You can get some answers from them.' Matthew mindlinked me.
