Amber
I couldn't describe how relieved I was to see he believed my sob story, but deep down down I knew I was threading on a dangerous part. It was one thing to be captured by him when I clearly didn't know my fate here and it was another to lie to him.
I didn't mean to lie to me, it might be a farce but so far he has been nothing but good to me. I doubt every other female wolves they've captured were given this freedom. Would I call this freedom? Not necessarily, but it was better than where I was coming from.
Here there was a man I wanted to touch me like hell, a maid to wait on me, and no one to hit me.
Sighing, I picked up the piece of painting I drew, held it out the window for the liquid to dry off.
"Young miss." Arya greeted from behind.
"Hey Arya" came my nervous reply, despite how she was free with I couldn't help but feel nervous.
"Someone's here to see you?"
I frowned in thought. "Who?"
"One of our pack females."
"And he allowed her?" I asked incredulously.
"If by 'he' you mean our Alpha, yes." She told me with a smile. "You really want to please him so badly."
My cheeks heated. I nervously set my painting on the desk, fiddled with my fingers and told Arya to let them in.
A familiar red haired and brown eyes woman walked into the room.
"Carmen," I smiled, taking tentative steps towards her.
Her lips tugged up into a wide smile as she drew me into bone crushing hug. "Amber. How do you do?"
"Very well, you?" I asked as we settled on the mini dining table. She sat gracefully opposite me the smile never leaving her face for once.
"As you can see, bright as the morning sun." She chirped, patting her french plaits for further effects.
We both laughed.
"Why did you come here?" I blurted out.
She frowned, narrowing her gaze at me. "Oh my dear Amber doesn't want to see the new friend that she just made. My bad, I'd get going." She made a move to stand up and I immediately held her hand back pushing her back into the chair.
"N-no it's not that." I pleaded with my gaze and I heard Arya chuckle right beside me.. I gave her a playful glare and turned my embarrassed self back to Carmen. "I'm not just used to getting visitors around here. You know what I mean."
"Of course. With such a possessive man you've got, wished Matheow was as demanding as that." She let out a disgruntled sigh and a fake put.
Who's got a possessive man?
"Who's Matheow, your mate?" I asked instead, wiggling my brows as her eyws widened at the opportunity to talk and fawn abour her beloved mate.
"Yes. One and only, Matheow Stewarts." She took a swig of water and stared at me.
"Oh."
"Enough about me now. At least you know my basic? Mind telling me everything about you?"
My darting and nervous gaze paused as my mind was thrown into a frenzy. Despite the fact she has been friendly and kind to me letting her in on everything about my life was risky. Warrior pack members were damn loyal to their Alpha even at the point of death. And for someone like Alpha Raze who demanded respect and has a powerful aura with just a move of his eyes. Those gaze that could make my core pool with an insanely amount of heat and live me giddy.
"Wouldn't that be against his rule?"
"If you say so." She chirped again, but I didn't miss the slight look of hurt that flashed through her smile. "Let's get to something interesting."
We spend the half the day walking around and Carmen telling me all about the packs history. I then realized, the nightwalkers were feared outside the terirtor but within deemed like a harmless werewolf pack. We passed some busy workers and training warriors and they all paused to greet me which I found unsettling. Carmen, noticing my plight made sure I had no contact with anyone again.
I took tired steps back into the main mansion.
"Now that was my first mort tiresome activity since I've come here." I breathed, downing the glass of water Arya handed to me.
"And it won't be your last either." Carmen said, getting to her feet. "I should go. My man's not possessive but he's clingy."
"Oh." I wiggled my brows and she blushed crimson. "I'll see you out. Yeah Arya?" I asked her wondering if he won't get angry at that.
"What can I say?" She said laughingly. "You've literally scouted around the pack. Yes, you can. but,"
She walked closer to me whispering words I didn't fully understand into my ears
"Be careful. Alpha Raze is a jealous one."
I rolled my eyes at it anyways, I was seeing Carmen out not going to the next club. We were out in no time.
"Carmen." I heard a deep voice rumbled out her name, her hands left mine and she jumped excitedly on the hunk that just entered. He was well built like the others and had definitely features, almost like Raze. Almost. "Been looking for you."
"I'm right here. Here, pay your respscts to her." She nudged his elbow, slightly giving me a wide smile. It was today I realized her smile doesn't wear off, it was her permanent signature.
He sauntered over to where I stood nervously, with a slight bow he greeted. "Greetings Amber." His gaze held mine and for a moment I couldn't move, not that I was drawn to him or anything. I felt a familiar scent waffle through my nose sending tingling sensations through my body.
"H-hey. Heard a lot about you."
"Good things I hope."
I took his hand shake with a slight smile, his eyes seemed to linger on me for a while. I frowned, why the look? He snapped out it moments later still holding my hand and I slightly showed my uneasiness at his gestures.
"Let her go." I was suddenly spun around and by a large muscular figure with a familiar scent. His eyes held what I would term as jealously as he held me firmly against me. "I'll teach you a few lessons tonight." He whispered in my ears and shivered from his harsh breath against my ears.
