Morrighan's Playground!!...

Morrighan's Playground!!...
Natasha’s POV
My lungs burned as I tore through the hordes of creatures, the stench of rot thick in my throat. I didn’t dare look back—didn’t need to. I could hear the clashing of swords- the guttural moans of the creatures. The sparks of power ignited my body at the sound of Rhaegar’s pain, but they were still not powerful enough to kill. My heart slammed against my ribs as I rushed through the palace gates.
Reaching Damon and Lukas was the only way I knew to save Rhaegar. Filthy, clawed, broken-fingered hands pursued me, but I twisted away and increased my speed. One almost grabbed my sleeve. I heard the rip, felt the fabric give, but I didn’t stop.
I pushed past a creature, narrowly avoiding its snapping jaws. Its breath, or whatever it was, pressed hot against me. With my dagger, I cut through the limbs as I ran. The howls of the horde, now louder and closer, echoed behind me. I felt their teeth almost sinking into my back. They were everywhere, twisting their bodies, dragging their broken legs and jerking their heads. I turned in another direction. There were more, closer than I expected, and blocking my path. I can’t go forward, nor can I turn back. Panic surged in my chest like a rising tide. My fingers curled around the white sparks that emerged from me. But they felt so small, devoid of the raw power. Useless.
I tripped down, and a few of them stepped on me. An ocean of ancient zombies engulfed me. I raised my hand through the pile of flesh, bone and decay, in a last hope for help.
“Tasha!” I cried, closing my eyes, but no response. Then suddenly, I felt warmth spreading through me, along with a scent suggesting someone was near. The next thing I heard was the painful howls of the creatures that had trapped me. They were hit, causing them to fly apart as something sliced through their bodies in midair. I was pulled from the carcass by a pair of warm fingers that had reached out and grasped my hand.
“Are you alright?” Damon asked, holding my face in his hands.
“I think so.” I looked at my body and gave him an uncertain answer. “We need to help-“ I stopped abruptly as if hearing something in the distance.
“Natasha, watch out...” Lukas shouted while attacking three of the creatures together, but the warning came too late.
“Fuck!” I screamed as someone grabbed my arm and kicked Damon with such force, making him skid on the ground. King Louris jumped forward and slammed his foot onto his chest.
“Get off me!” I shouted, looking back to see an enraged Aurora clutching me tightly, and eyeing me with nothing but murder in her red eyes. I was then violently yanked up by the neck and slammed hard against the tree.
“Let her go, Aurora.” Damon roared.
“Not before she gives me what I want,” Aurora said, holding my neck to the point I could barely breathe, and my fingernails scratched at her hands for squeezing my throat. She brought her face closer to mine and sneered, saying, “Give me your powers, or see your mates die.”
I decided to take this opportunity to use the last of my strength to hurt her. So I lashed out at her and managed to press a thumb into her eye until I heard her crying out in pain. I tried not to think of the gross factor and let my adrenaline and need to defend completely take over. Thankfully, it was enough for her to let me go. Damon roared in pain as the King’s blade sliced his wrist open, cutting deep into a vein.
“Now let’s see if you give us what we want, or two of your mates die!” Aurora spoke, clearly lost in her madness. One of their commanders brought almost half-dead Rhaegar, barely breathing. He put a sword around his neck, ready for further orders. I was trying too hard to channelise my energy, but nothing was working. My mates’ faces were loaded with dread because they knew the repercussions if my power fell into Aurora’s hands. At that moment, I knew that to save the world, I would have to end my own life. I raised the dagger to my heart, ready to strike, when another event unfolded.
A silvery glow erupted all around us. Damon swiftly kicked the king and spun free.
“What’s happening?” I asked even before a portal appeared before us. The moment we saw movement, we were all awestruck. The silhouettes started to appear, and the people leapt forward, trying to move their sleek bodies through the portal. Damon’s army!
“Kill them!” Aurora bellowed at her creatures. We felt a rumbling begin under us, as if it were an earthquake’s aftershock. The trees swayed, the dust and debris fogged the air, and the bloody remains of the dead creatures rolled down the floor. Lukas and Damon stopped and looked around as if they already knew what was about to happen. I had to squint my eyes to begin with as the first shadows emerged from underground, but soon it started to look more like a wall of black was closing in on us. The first line of bodies drew closer, and my mates raised their swords. They looked ready to take on the creatures to protect Harold’s army.
I watched in pure amazement as with one swipe, they took on multiples. They spun, ducked and bent at the waist in a series of movements, but the more they cut down, the more creatures replaced them. It seemed like the fight would never end. I could see they were both trying to make a path for the army to come in, but each time, the hordes of creatures attacked from different angles. Creatures attacked those exiting the portal. They needed help  — just a small window to let the army in. I had to do something, so I tried to relax and blank my mind in order to draw in some energy. My body stiffened, and I felt the raw power surging through my veins. My fingertips tingled as power surged through my hands, striking the creatures. The damage done was incredible, with masses of dead bodies scattered around.
Aurora saw this, and a spark lit up her eyes, as if she were just waiting for this moment. “Okay, I guess that killing your loved ones does the trick. But I want more.” She looked up at her commander, who was holding Rhaegar, and shouted, “Kill the mate!”
“Happily,” he shouted back, solidifying his grip on the sword. He pushed his sword against his neck, and a drip of blood emerged from the cut.
“NO!” I screamed as I swung around, hitting her with such brutal force that her body yanked through the air. Focusing my power, I released a devastating attack that split the commander in two. The force was so strong that Rhaegar was sent flying into nearby rocks. Just when I thought I had managed to save Rhaegar, a demonic snarling ended up getting my attention. King Louris was over Damon, ready to break his neck. Just as he was about to twist his brute hands, I threw my dagger, and this time it hit the mark, embedding itself into his shoulder. He bellowed with rage and desperation to rip it from his body, but he couldn’t touch the dagger. His skin started withering slowly, and pain spread like a slow death.
“Don’t bring out your power, Natasha! She is provoking you to steal it!” Lukas shouted, trying hard to stop the creatures from attacking the portal. Aurora snarled at him.
“You dare deny what belongs to me!” she roared. The creatures roared back as if understanding her command and aimed for the portal.
“Fuck…” Lukas shouted as the creatures attacked him in a horde. Their decaying fangs pierced his skin, biting into his neck. Creatures also surrounded Damon and Rhaegar. There were just too many of them to fight  — a fucking army that was impossible to defeat. Damn, it seemed to be so many of them, and even changing into their wolf form wasn’t sufficient to defeat them. With the last of their strength, they started to crawl out, but those creatures kept on stomping on them. I could hear their agonising moans as they neared death. The pain of losing mates shook my body... the fucking agonising pain that was unlike any other.
“Poor souls. What a waste of handsome men!” Aurora said with booming laughter. A painful cry escaped me as I rushed to their side, wanting to be with them in their final moments. Suddenly, I was roughly seized from behind; it was Louris, the monstrous king! He was the reason. He was the fucking reason who helped Aurora!
“Now it’s my time to kill you, fucker!” I screamed at him as he tackled me to the ground. A small surge of power coursed through me, causing him to recoil. Once the buzz fizzled, he hurled at me to attack again, but I was quick enough to grab the dagger off his shoulder and hurl it down into his heart. It was a blow I knew he was not coming back from. His agonising screams were the last I heard from him. His skin melted from the dagger’s power, as though burned by raw acid.
Once he was gone, I looked at the portal with all my might.
“Natasha...do... don’t do it...” they begged. But I ignored them, my eyes consumed with the raw power I commanded. The blacks were now completely white with their centres glowing.
“It is the only way,” I told them in a haunting tone.
“No,” they forced out, but I held my hands out with intense power buzzing through them. “It’s the only way to kill them—destroy them.”
With a surge of power, the barrier broke and my wolves appeared, freeing Damon, Lukas, and Rhaegar from those creatures. With the barrier destroyed, Damon’s army stormed the Northern realm, assaulting both its armies and creatures.
Aurora leapt to her feet and ran toward me. She too was struggling to reach me through my power, suffering pain that was as brutal as a raw fire. In a desperate attempt to take my power, she stretched her hand toward me. The moment she neared, I recoiled, shutting my eyes, and mustered all my power to halt. She fell to her knees. She sucked in a deep breath before finally opening her eyes. At first, she looked confused, but then everything started to make sense to her. She looked down at her chest cavity, and it was empty. I had ripped her heart again.
“See, I knew how to stop her.” I looked up at my mates.
“That was a risk!” Lukas replied.
“One hell of a risk!” Damon seconded him.
“Does she ever listen to anyone?” Rhaegar muttered, still taking his time to heal.
“Never!” I winked, and then I looked up at Aurora, and the feeling of déjà vu hit me. I entered a flashback:

The era of witches:
Morrighan’s pov
“Morri, you need to stop her!” Ace, Ben and Cal screamed from the prisons where they were locked.
“I know how to stop her,” I told them in a whisper, as my wolves entered my body.
“Morri!?” They sounded uncertain because my tone was totally devoid of arrogance.
“You are gonna have to trust me,” I said. Before they could react, I ripped the knife off Aurora’s hand using the strength of my power left, and before she could stop me, I brought it to my neck and slashed it through my jugular.
“Morri, no!” they shouted, but it was too late, as I held my hands across my neck and landed hard on the ground. Aurora was totally stunned, unable to move as I closed my eyes forever.

Present time:
Natasha’s pov
I let go of the flashback, and my body shook with anger; the power crackled through me, powered by rage. I looked down at the heart I was still holding on to. It was pumping, oozing out the black fluid from the torn-up veins. I allowed the power to surge through my fingers. Hot white flames appeared in my hands, blazing the heart into a scalding mass of ashes. I could vaguely see that the war in the background had now ended as there were no more creatures or Northern realm armies left to fight, other than Aurora, who was still alive without her heart.
“Natasha!” my mates warned.
“I’ve got this, handsome,” I said, and with that, I moved closer to her. My wolves circle us. She knew that she had no way out. So she resorted to the last option, begging.
“Morri, please... We are sisters. Born and destined to protect each other,” she choked out the words.
“No... I was born and destined for only one thing...to kill you!” I said, grabbing her jaw and forcing my hand into her mouth. To keep her from touching me, two of my wolves seized her hands.
“Hey, sis... try sucking this!” With these words, I thrust the white flames into her mouth, a power that hammered into her body, making it glow.
“No! Stop this!” she roared at me, her voice cracking. I smiled, then mind-linked my third wolf for my dagger. Before she could free herself from my brutal assault, I delivered a hard kick to her bleeding chest and plunged the dagger into her thigh. The power of the dagger blazed through her skin like a red ball of fire burning her insides.
“Now this is for Ace, Ben, Cal and... Morrighan! With a scream, I whirled and drove my dagger into her throat. I waited for the thud of her head as it rolled off her body and landed on the floor beside me.
I looked up, relieved, and saw the only eyes I needed to see.
My mates and wolves....
