Youre My Wife

PIPER

I've never hated a man this much before, and Damon did a great job of making me hate him. Fuck any admiration I had for him in the past, but man. He was a devil.

"How could he do such a disgusting thing?" I grumbled. Hugging myself. After seeing how messed up Jeffer was, I lost my mind for a moment.

I'm scared; that's because Damon can do anything. He's not even human. I feel almost crazy just thinking about my life. What sins have I committed in the past? Until I'm stuck in a situation like this?

While I was holding my wound, Damon came into my room. He insisted on treating my wound, and this made me uncomfortable. I was not interested in his fake concern at all.

"I said it's not necessary, just tell me honestly. Have you really let go of Jeffer?" I asked.

Damon nodded his head without answering. Even his eyebrows showed how firm he was with his answer.

"Is he still alive?" I asked again as if I still couldn't believe his answer. That was the most basic question I could ask him.

"What do you think you've done now? By showing your anxiety about another man in front of me," he replied.

I changed my position without hesitation in approaching him. I stared at his face, returning his gaze with a sharper look as if threatening him subtly. I didn't mean to oppose his cruel personality.

"I just need you to answer yes or no, is Jeffer still alive?"

"Yes!"

"Are you sure!"

Damon clenched his fists, he changed his standing position. "You have no reason to doubt my answer now if you just want to show that you care about your ex-lover."

"I don't doubt you, but Jeffer has nothing to do with this! You don't need to do this kind of thing to the people around me, isn't it enough that you arrested my brother?"

"You are my wife!"

"What?"

"Because you are my wife, that is why I have the right to do anything to you. You are mine, that is the truth."

"We signed the marriage contract, and…."

"That's not the point! You're my wife, mine, my right!" he said again.

I felt my breath catch, but I had no more words to say to him. I stepped back, but Damon grabbed my arm. He made my body sit right in front of him while he stood in front of me.

He clamped my legs between his thighs, locking my movements. He used this position to treat the wounds on my face, applying antiseptic afterward. I endured the pain from his touch.

"You hate me, don't you?" he said.

"Hmmm," I mumbled

"But, I hate the thought of another man touching you more," he muttered.

I flinched when our eyes met. He wiped my lips with his thumb. "Don't do something stupid and hurt yourself again," he said.

I turned my face away; it was unpleasant to let him treat me so sweetly, even though I knew that behind this gentleness, there was a devilish attitude that I couldn't stand at all.

The following day, Damon took me back to the mansion. On the way home, I just kept quiet. Even when my nose again smelled the aroma inside this luxurious mansion, I kept quiet.

Some of the servants in this house consider me to be the mistress of the house. However, there are also quite a few of them who consider me a sycophant. They accuse me of willingly selling my body to be Damon's bed toy to get this marriage.

"Johan is in the backyard," Damon said suddenly.

"Really?" my face lit up, like yeah, I was relieved because at least Johan was okay. I was always scared every day, imagining something terrible happening to my brother. It felt like it was utterly inevitable.

Damon stroked my cheek. "You have an hour to talk to him, and I'm going to the office now," he said.

"Thanks," I replied awkwardly.

"Don't lock yourself in your room anymore, do whatever you want today, but stay under Luther's supervision, understand?" he said again.

I swallowed my saliva roughly. I felt like he was restraining me in a false freedom; that was the meaning of his words.

"Okay," I replied flatly.

Damon's back disappeared through the door, just as I did. I hurried to find Johan. He was standing under a tree, smoking and looking at the sky.

"Johan!" I shouted and hugged him. I don't understand how much trouble Johan causes. I can't hate him as much as my brother because he's the only family I have in this world.

"Stop acting like you love your brother so much, Piper," he said.

"What are you saying? I just…"

"How long will I live locked up like this? I hate being treated like an animal."

"I'm sorry, I will find a way out so that…"

"Didn't Damon say, it's all up to you. So please, just do what I told you back then!"

I rolled my eyes lazily. How could Johan insist on taking advantage of my situation like this? He didn't know how cruel Damon was with his character. It felt like Damon was a deadly weapon, padding but killing in one shot.

"I said, I will find a way out for you. Please be patient."

"Then don't disappoint me!" he said again. "All we need is to take Damon down from the inside, be my weapon, Piper," he said.

I glanced around to make sure no one was listening to our conversation. Damn, it wasn't just Johan who felt constrained here, I felt the same way. As if I could breathe freely, I couldn't control myself.

"Johan, can I beg you, to change your mind about this, if you are free, please stop causing trouble."

Johan suddenly grabbed my arm; his face became tense and flushed red. "Stop telling me what to do. You are as noisy as Mom, and I hate this!"

"Johan, let go! You're hurting me," I whined, feeling the sting in my arm.

"Then don't make me mad, fucking shit," he snapped, pushing me away from him.

The following day, I woke up with a shock that I couldn't control. My face was slapped by a bucket of water that was thrown at me while I was still asleep. I gasped, writhing while holding back the stinging sensation in my nose because the water had entered forcibly.

"Oh my God!" my voice was half hoarse.

I hurriedly wiped my face, rubbing my eyes until my vision cleared again. I found Harper standing before me; she threw the bucket behind her. Then Emma stood at the door, looking at me with concern.

"You damn maid, how dare you sleep in Damon's room!" Nora protested to me.

It wasn't me who wanted to sleep here. Damon had his own decision; he was the one who dragged me into a situation I couldn't avoid.

"Miss Harper, what the…."

My words stopped because Harper pulled my hand to get off the bed. I tried to balance my body not to fall, although it was in vain. Harper managed to slam my body to the floor.

"Get out of this mansion!" he shouted.

I stood up before Emma could help me. I didn't want to involve anyone in this because I knew how crazy Harper had treated us as servants.

"You have no right to throw me out of here!" I said so bravely, even though fear had already taken over me.

But something inside me told me to fight back even though I didn't dare to challenge Harper's gaze on me too much.

"How dare you say such a stupid fucking thing to me!" Harper's voice rose.

"I am Alpha Damon's wife, and you know that," I said.

Harper laughed, but it was not a laugh of joy from her. She was well aware of what I had just said.

"You don't think Damon married you because he loves you, do you?" she said.

I flinched, and I've wondered about that for a while now. Harper seemed to notice the tension on my face; she pursed her lips as if she had just won a fight with me.

"You just replaced me temporarily. Damon loves me, and you know that, bitch! How stupid of you to think Damon really loves you, how pathetic of you."

"But I…."

"Do you think Damon would defend you if I did this to you? Huh, seriously. Even until now, I am still free to go in and out of this mansion, because the real mistress of the house is me."

Honestly, my confidence is slowly disappearing. That's true. The fact that Damon only offered me a contract marriage hit me so hard. He couldn't possibly care if something terrible happened to me.

"Now get the hell out of this mansion, you fucking bitch!" Harper grabbed my upper arm. I could feel her nails digging in with the power of her shifter. Even though I winced, she didn't care.

All eyes were on me, and the servants could only stare at me silently. This could be the end; maybe this was how I would get out of this mansion. Before we reached the door, Luther suddenly stood in front of us. "What are you trying to do, Harper?" he asked flatly.
