Chapter Eighty One; Part Of The Pack.

Miya’s POV

I’ve been grinning from ear to ear since yesterday, Xavier actually confessed his feelings to me, not only that, he actually spoke about changing my status, doesn’t that mean he is willing to take things further with me?

Omg, would he propose to me? Now that he technically doesn’t have a mate, he’s at liberty to choose a new person to be his partner.

What should I do then if he chose me? Was I really going to accept? Probably yes

The truth is I really didn’t know that things would turn out this way at all, First I only went to the party to be a moral support for Gerald and Cherry because I could sense that something is happening between them and well, an extra bundle of courage wouldn’t hurt.

I agreed that I would only end up being the third wheel and I might not be able to enjoy the night like the rest of the people there.

Little did I know that I would end up being the the happiest person to leave the hall.

I actually walked out hand in hand with the Alpha of the pack, the very man who had made my life miserable since I met him, but somehow, I felt like the luckiest person alive.

Just as I was reminiscing about the passionate kiss we shared, the door opened and Cherry entered with a dreamy look on her face.

“Hey Cher, why didn’t you come back last night, where were you?”

“At Gerald’s house!”

She replied with heavy breath, the dreamy look in her eyes just intensified.

I turned to face her and gave a good look at her, her face suddenly became delicate and feminine, her eyes were sparkling and her skin was glowing, she was totally flushed.

And she said she spent the night in Gerald’s house, it the hit me like a flying rock the reason for all those sudden chances,

“You guys did bang last night?”

She didn’t answer me, but her actions did, she covered her face with her hands and hid at the corner.

“Girl, you guys must be serious!”

I said and she immediately turned and nod her head, well am happy for her.

But I still have t go to the square according to the demand of the Alpha.

I got dressed in a black jeans and grey blouse and headed to the square, there were a lot of people there, I thought it was just going to be us, but I was wrong.

Soon, the Alpha came and addressed the general public, it turns out that we are here for initiation ceremony of some members into the Blood pack.

Even at that, I wondered why I had to be present there, when he came he didn’t as much as say hello to me, he just climbed the podium and started talking.

I had already zoned out of the meeting and was already thinking about other important stuff when I heard my name being called.

Huh!

I looked up to see Alpha Xavier looking down at me as if he was expecting something from me.

Miya, please step forward and climb the podium.

He was finally inviting me to the podium, does that mean he wants to initiate me to be a member of his pack?

Stupid me, I let my imaginations about the status run wild, it turns out that he wants to change my status from a rogue to member of the Blood Pack.

He must really hate the word rogue, I thought, I stood up and went up the podium to stand close to some people who were already standing there.

After calling some more people, the ceremony started in full force.

“You will remain loyal to your new pack the Blood pack and to your Alpha…”

The rules and regulations of the Blood Pack was read to us.

We then raised up our right hand and swore an ought to only be bound to the Blood pack, and to seal it up, we were given a tiny needle to pinch our thumb and rub it on the sand beneath us to stand as witnesses for us together with the other people present.

After that, we lined up to sign the legal documents of ownership by the pack then we were shared our basic responsibilities in the pack.

I was given the task of being a health assistant.

The moment I saw my name pasted under the medical team as the health assistant, I immediately went to find Alpha Xavier.

Although I am now part of the park, it doesn’t mean that he gets to do whatever he wants to me, he knows full well that am not in good terms with Jamie and the rest, yet he still sent me there, I needed to make him change it asap.

Luckily, I saw him immediately after going out, he was talking to some people so I stood by the corner and waited for him.

By that time, a lot of people came by and congratulated me on my new status, not only as a a pack member, but as a medical assistant.

“I have a feeling you are looking for me”

I suddenly heard a voice in my head, I turned around me and saw everyone was busy congratulating others, some were also celebrating their new status as pack members.

It was as if no one heard the Aloha speak to me just now.

“Are you confused? What are you looking for?”

Just then, I heard that same voice again sound on my head, I knew full well that it was the voice of Aloha Xavier, but when I looked at him, I saw that his lips was not talking.

Then what was happening?

“He’s using her mind link you dummy, you’re now part of his pack so you can hear his mind link, he can also hear yours, why don’t you tell him something”

It was my wolf talking to me.

“Shut up right there, who’s the dummy? Certainly not me”

I spoke back to my wolf, but I soon found out that she was not the only one that heard me, Alpha Xavier also did, he gave me a conspicuous look and I felt embarrassed.

It’s been a while since I used the mind link so I’ve forgotten how to control it, and now I made a fool out of myself.

Forget it.

I immediately turned around and left, but not long before I left the community square, I saw a shadow behind me.
