CHAPTER 27
He opened the button of her pants and pulled them down. He stood up and looked at her carefully, memorizing her body.
"Damn, you are so fucking gorgeous," he mumbled, licking his lips.
She blushed again and bit her lip in embarrassment.
"Fuck it! I have to do this," he cursed and pulled her legs close to his waist. He took off his pants, pulled a condom out of his pocket, and struggled to pull his boxers down.
Jayla was watching him. She smirked and propped herself up, enjoying his struggle.
"You enjoying this?" He smirked, not looking at her.
"It's funny." She shrugged.
"This won't be funny anymore," he stated mischievously as he pulled down his boxers and rolled on the condom on his dick.
"That won't fit," she said with wide eyes.
"You will get used to it. Don't worry. I will try to be gentle," he said soothingly and pulled down her underwear.
"I'm scared, Max."
"Don't be scared. You are brave, baby," he complimented her, encouraging her.
It must be hard for her, giving up the most important thing of her body. Max made sure that she would have a good time and a passionate moment with him. Only she got to have the perfect moment with him—no one else.
"I will be gentle, baby. You will have an amazing moment with me," he said.
"Tell me when you are ready," he said, leaning down to kiss her neck.
She breathed heavily and closed her eyes, getting herself ready. She was not afraid anymore, now that her mate calmed her down.
"I'm ready," she whispered.
He nodded and gently pushed his dick into her. She gasped and held the bedsheet tighter as he pushed.
He noticed her displeased face. He wanted to take it out, but she encouraged him to continue. He was scared for her. He didn't want to hurt her.
"It's okay. I need to do this." He nodded with uncertainty and pushed again softly.
He stayed there for a moment, letting her get used to his size. Soon, the pain was replaced with pleasure. She moaned as he thrust.
"You are so fucking tight," he groaned and sucked her neck while thrusting.
She moaned and tugged his hair while he was pushing his dick farther in.
"Forgive me, baby," he said, cupping her face.
"It's okay. I'm alright," she said, giving him a tight smile. He smiled and kissed her lips passionately. He felt his climax coming up.
"Max," she cried. She was getting close.
"Jayla," he growled, and they both came.
"Fuck, be ready," he warned, and he immediately sucked the spot of her neck that was already red. She gasped and felt her skin getting pierced.
He was marking her.
He pushed his fangs down on her neck, marking her. Then, he pulled out his fangs and licked the blood coming out of her neck. He stopped thrusting his dick when he saw her.
She was tired and needed to sleep.
"I love you," he mumbled, but she was sleeping before she could hear him.
***
Jayla woke up in an unknown bed. She sat up and opened her eyes wide. She was wearing an oversized shirt that covered her body. She gasped and remembered what happened yesterday.
"Good morning." Max came out of the bathroom, half-naked, hair wet and his lower body covered by a towel.
"Hey." She tucked her hair gently behind her ear.
"You're so cute," he gushed and came toward her to ruffle her hair.
"Do you remember what happened yesterday?" he asked.
"Don't remind me." She pouted and looked away. He chuckled and grabbed her chin to stare at her once again.
"Yeah, no, you don't get to look away from me," he said and was about to place his lips against hers, but she shook her head.
"Morning breath," she muttered, holding a hand against her mouth.
"Fuck that shit," he said, swatting her hand away from her mouth and smashed his lips against hers.
He tilted her head to push his tongue deep in her mouth, and she moaned. He left her mouth, nipping and licking his mark on her neck.
She gasped and felt sparks on her body. He smirked playfully and touched his mark.
"You belong to me," he mumbled while pinching the mark on her neck. She glared at him and pushed his hand away.
"I need to take a shower." She groaned and got up.
"Can I help you take a shower?" he asked when he heard groaning noises from her. She glared at him.
He knew that she would be sore.
"Shut up," she said and went to the bathroom.
***
"Babe, you got marked!" Eleanor yelped happily and hugged her tightly.
"Yeah," she said sarcastically.
"It's so beautiful," she said, touching the mark. It was more like a tattoo: a crown with two grey swords inside the crown.
"I can't believe you are going to be my Luna!" she exclaimed enthusiastically; Jayla smiled softly.
"It's not even nine, and you are already yelling," her cousin stated. He was in the kitchen preparing some breakfast for him and his mate.
"Here you go, baby." He placed the plate in front of her and pecked her cheek.
The plate was full of pancakes and some raspberries, her favorite.
"Thank you." She grinned and started to attack her breakfast.
Max laughed as he watched her happily eating her food.
"So, when are you going to do the ceremony?" Eleanor asked her cousin.
"Mom is preparing this stuff. If you want something special, you can ask her," Max said to Jayla who nodded.
"Hey, bitches, I can smell a new scent." Giovanni sniffed loudly and came close to Jayla who was busy eating her food. Max glared and threw a knife at him right in his eye.
"What the fuck!" he screamed and made her startled.
"Are you okay?" she cried and tried to pull out the knife carefully, but Giovanni pulled it out forcefully, making her scream even louder.
"Max, you have to tell her everything." Eleanor sighed in exasperation to the man who laughed.
"It's funny." He chuckled.
"Werewolves can heal quickly, Jayla. That was nothing." Giovanni shrugged, holding his eye for a moment and then letting it go, showing his eyes were perfectly fine.
"What the fuck?" She gasped in shock.
"That's one of our benefits of being a wolf." He winked at her.
"No, seriously, bro, did you throw a knife at me at 9 AM?" He turned to his brother who smiled innocently, playing with his fork.
"I might throw the fork at your face," he suggested.
"He's back to killer mode." Eleanor sighed.
"Max, don't do that," Jayla warned. He threw his hands up in surrender.
"He shouldn't sniff you. I marked you. You're their Luna," he spat angrily.
"We get it, pretty boy." Cole came in with an extraordinary entrance. Jayla's mood was replaced by anger and betrayal. She sneered at Cole and left the living room without finishing her breakfast.
"Cole, even though you don't like her, you will respect her," Max said as he watched his mate going upstairs. He knew the relationship was full of anger and disgust. Max didn't need her to like him; they just needed to tolerate each other since Max couldn't leave him, and he certainly couldn't leave his mate.
"Cole, I'm serious," he said with a stern face.
"Yes, Alpha." He bowed sarcastically and went to the kitchen.
"What happened between them?" Giovanni asked.
"Don't even ask," he grumbled and went upstairs to work.
"I already asked," he said, frowning. He looked at Eleanor who shrugged again.
Meanwhile, Jayla called her brother to catch up on what she missed.
"How is Toronto?" she asked, sitting with her phone in her ear.
"It's great. Hunter and Jane were expecting you," he said through the phone.
"I hope I can go there next time," she sighed. In only two days, school was going to start. Her parents were returning from Paris, so it was her last day here with Max. She was going to see Eglantine and Piper for the last time and get them out of here.
She had already made a plan with Keaton, who was not into the plan but then agreed since he had nothing better to do.
"I heard Max marked you." He chuckled.
"Yeah, he did. How can you hide your mark?" she asked him. She loved his mark on her neck, but her parents would freak out if they knew about her having a tattoo.
"I guess Max will provide you with some special cream that hides your mark. It will be invisible to humans but not for supernaturals," he explained, and she nodded, even though he couldn't see her.
"Well, then, I have to go," she said, and he said his goodbyes to her and hung up. Jayla sighed and put the phone down next to her. She looked at the woods outside of her window. "Princess?" someone called her in her mind. She freaked out and gasped.
"Who are you?" she asked in her mind.
"I can't believe you forgot about me." The man in her mind chuckled weakly. She remembered his voice.
"It works!" she yelled in her mind.
"My queen, please, don't scream," Piper joined.
"Fuck off, old man. Of course, it works," Eglantine said.
Back in the visit to the prison, they had asked her to share blood so that they could communicate and have a strong bond between them. At first, Jayla found that gross, but she agreed and shared blood with them.
"Are you going to leave us?" Piper asked with sadness in his voice.
"No, in fact, I'm going to free you," she said with determination.
"All of us?" Eglantine asked.
"Yes, all of you guys," she replied.
"But how are you going to do that?"
"Don't worry. I have a friend who will help me."
"But can you trust him?" Piper said.
Could she trust him?
"I don't know, but this is all we got," she replied.
"When will you come down there?" Eglantine demanded.
"I will when everyone is sleeping," she snapped.
"Jayla!"
"I have to go. See you later," she said to them, building an invisible wall in her mind. She learned to do thanks to books that were around here.
"Jay!"
"Yes, I'm right here," she yelled back.
She didn't know if her plan would work or not, but this was the only chance. The pack was powerful. In addition, the Alpha, her mate, was going to be the future king, the future Alpha of the werewolves.
She needed to know how they recognized her as their queen when she wasn't a werewolf or a royal descendant.
Her mother didn't talk too much about her family. She had only met her sister, and that's all. She didn't know if her mother had parents.
Everything was suspicious. Her life is a mystery to her. She didn't know who she was.
She breathed out heavily and walked out of her room.
She needed to know answers to her question.
"Jayla!" Keaton shouted. She groaned and sprinted downstairs to join him.
She reached the bottom of the stairs and looked at the living room, empty except for Keaton, who was holding blueprints.
She smiled softly, and he smirked back.
"Let's go to my room, shall we?" he suggested, and she nodded.
She was going to free them.
