Chapter 64 Eiden

Chapter 64 Eiden
Eiden's POV

“I knew it. Celeste could find someone who could heal you,” Beta Serena said, smiling widely.

She was happy to know I was going to a place that would free me from the nightmare that had haunted me for over four months.

“It took Celeste over a month to find that information,” I said.

I was overjoyed, even though my face couldn't quite convey it.

My heart had been pounding with excitement since yesterday. I couldn't wait to meet someone who understood what he had to do to help me.

I don't know why I trusted Celeste so completely. There was absolutely no doubt in my heart.

I was certain that today would be the last time I would struggle to stop the nightmares that plagued me every time I closed my eyes.

“You should’ve asked Celeste from the beginning,” Beta Serena said while organizing the files on my desk. Once again, I had asked her to take care of some of my work since I would be leaving later that afternoon.

“Yeah, you’re probably right.” I nodded as I signed the document. “Never mind, there’s no need to regret it.” I waved my hand.

“The important thing is that this time I really found the right person.” I sighed as I handed the file to Beta Serena. “I miss sleeping soundly without dreaming about anything.”

“Don’t you ever have sweet dreams?” Beta Serena asked curiously.

“It seems we have different ideas about sweet dreams,” I said, looking straight at Beta Serena.

Her black hair was pulled into a ponytail, with a chain necklace resting against her neck. I suddenly realized she hadn't worn her black lipstick or eyeshadow in a long time.

Maybe she was in love.

I won't ask about whether the man is her mate or not.

She should learn from me that there’s no point in loving someone who isn’t your soulmate.

“Of course, everyone has their own version of a beautiful dream.” Beta Serena nodded.

“The Purple Forest Group is a rogue group that still practices magic,” Beta Serena said, bringing up the group I would be visiting with Celeste and her two sons.

"Long ago, when the magic portal was left open, many witches came to this planet," Beta Serena said with sparkling eyes. She was one of those people who loved those tens of thousands of years of history.

"The only ones who still have magic books and crystal balls are the Purple Forest Group. Their higher-ups, especially the Alpha family, are masters of magic." Beta Serena grew increasingly enthusiastic about discussing them, hugging the files tightly and shaking her body.

"If they can banish those nightmares that plague you, does that mean... those nightmares are caused by magic?" Beta Serena widened her eyes, completely convinced of her assumption. “They must have magic to bring nightmares and also erase them.”

I weighed her words carefully, unwilling to make accusations without evidence, especially against those who wielded magic.

If I angered or offended them, I couldn't imagine what they would do to my pack and me.

"I won't think about that. What I need now is their magical abilities. Hopefully, they'll find a magic that can solve my problem," I said hopefully.

I'm not sure if I'll give up if Alpha Sifon from the Purple Forest Group can't help me.

I really didn't want to go to the therapist again because I was sure stress wasn't the cause of my nightmares.

The warrior drove at a moderate speed and took me to the Rogue Clan.

No one checked me at the River Pack Clan border office or the Werewolf Clan border office.

However, I sat quietly for an hour in the rogue clan border office.

This time I could say where I was going without hesitation, but I really hoped they wouldn't ask me who the woman and two boys were with me.

My heart pounded even harder as I exited the border office and got into the car driven by Paulo's brother-in-law.

Celeste, Liam, and Levi were waiting for me in the woods near Liam's kindergarten.

It was Saturday. We were supposed to be spending time together. I'd try to make it happen.

"Hey, how are you guys doing?" I asked Celeste, Liam, and Levi. I got out of my car and got into theirs.

"Hey, we're okay," Liam replied shyly. He tensed up sitting next to me. I wasn't upset; I just found his behavior cute.

"Hi, Alpha Eiden." Levi waved at me. I waved back.

Then I caught Celeste's eye, who was sitting next to Levi near the window. We smiled at each other.

Celeste was wearing a pink blouse and jeans. Her dark brown hair was down. She always looked beautiful.

My wolf was taunting me because my heart was beating differently. It wasn't one of excitement or impatience anymore. I won't tell you.

“Hi, David.” I greeted David after the car had been driving for a few minutes. I just realized he was sitting next to the driver’s seat.

“Hi, Alpha Eiden.” David smiled politely at me. He was happy to finally be able to call my name.

I kept my mask, jacket, glasses, and hat on, even though Alpha Sifon would recognize me easily.

Throughout the ride, I chatted with Liam and Levi. Sometimes I just stayed quiet, listening to them talk.

“We’re here.” Celeste caught our attention.

The warriors guarding the gate didn't check us. They simply asked us why we came to their group. They didn't ask who we were, as if they already knew that.

It turns out I wasn't the only one curious about the Purple Forest Group. Celeste, Liam, and Levi were all looking out the window with excitement.

There were no obvious differences. They looked just like any other group.

It's just that the atmosphere was a bit tense and quiet, as if they were giving us a chance to think again about whether we wouldn't regret visiting their territory.

The car moved slowly through the deserted streets. They had hundreds of members, but I could count the people we met on the fingers of one hand.

We stopped in front of Alpha Sifon's house. No warriors were guarding it.

"Welcome to my group." Alpha Sifon greeted us on the porch with a wide smile. He didn't have any strange appearance that would indicate he was a master of magic.

“Hi, Alpha Sifon. Nice to meet you.” I shook hands with Alpha Sifon, and I could feel his strong aura due to the magic protecting him.

"It's good to meet you as well, Alpha Eiden," Alpha Sifon said in a low voice, as though wary of being overheard. I wasn't surprised he knew who I was, nor that he understood my desire to remain secret.

Alpha Sifon and Celeste nodded at each other and smiled kindly. The man gently stroked Liam and Levi’s hair with a wide smile on his face.

We sat in his office. Nothing seemed out of place except for the crystal ball on the table.

Alpha Sifon stared intently at me as if reading my thoughts. I wasn't uneasy because I harbored no ill will toward anyone.

"What can I do for you, Alpha Eiden?" Alpha Sifon asked.

Celeste nodded at me, assuring me to trust Alpha Sifon.

Liam and Levi waited, their faces filled with curiosity.

“I’ve been having nightmares for over four months every time I go to sleep,” I said to Alpha Sifon.

“Please, make the nightmares stop. I want to be able to sleep whenever I want without waking up because of nightmares.” I winced at the pleading in my voice.

“I’ll help you.” Alpha Sifon nodded. His serious face made me believe in him. “Trust me. I never lie.”

“I trust you.” I don’t trust people easily, but somehow I had no doubts about him.

“I will make you stop having nightmares and protect you from all kinds of magic, but I beg you not to ask me who sent them to you,” said Alpha Sifon with his gaze focused on his crystal ball.
