Chapter 36

Aurora's POV

"Aurora, are you listening to me?" Brandy asked. It has been two days since I learned that Werewolves are real and that everyone in the house I am living with is a werewolf. Not only that but also that I am Blake's Mate, who is the Alpha of the Pack. Brandy and Cheryl told me that since I am his Mate, I will become the Luna of the Pack, which is like the mother of the Pack. I am supposed to lead beside Blake. I am trying to understand how I am supposed to do that when I don't know anything about Werewolves.

"I am sorry, I was thinking about something. What did you say?" I asked while I was getting ready for school. "You are thinking about my brother, aren't you?" Brandy asked. I haven't spoken to Blake since I found out about everything, and I miss him badly. It hurt being away from him, but I can't get over the fact that he slept around while knowing he would have a Mate one day. It hurts my feelings knowing he didn't care enough about me to wait. I didn't even know I would have a Mate and have never been with anyone fully. He is the first guy that has ever touched me sexually.

I can't help it, Brandy. I miss him, but, at the same time, I am mad at him. I feel like I am going crazy."

"That is because of the Mate bond. It is normal to want to be around your Mate, whether you are human or werewolf because they complete each other. You are not supposed to be apart from each other," Brandy said.

"I want to talk to him, but I am upset with him," I said.

"I understand why you are upset, Aurora. If I met my Mate and he used to be a manwhore like my brother was, I would be upset too. But you must understand that everything he did happened before he met you. You can't stay mad at him for something that happened before he knew you," Brandy said. I knew she was right. Everything he did was before he knew me, but that didn't change the fact that he knew he would meet me one day.

"I think you are right. I will talk to him," I said, and we walked out of my room. Blake was sitting at the table with John when we entered the dining room. When I walked inside, Blake instantly stood from his seat. He had on a button-up blue shirt and jeans. The shirt did nothing to hide how muscular he was. I couldn't help but think about how I wanted to rip the shirt off his body and feel the muscles on his chest.

"Hey, Aurora," Blake said.

"Hello," I replied.

"I was wondering if you would like to ride with me to school today so we can talk?" Blake asked.

"Okay, I will ride with you," I said.

"I will take you to school, Brandy, so that they can talk privately," John said.

"Thanks, John," Blake said and then looked at me. "Are you ready to go? We can stop and get something to eat before school," Blake said.

"That sounds good," I replied.

"See you two later," Brandy said.

"Bye," I replied.

"See you, sis," Blake said, and we left the floor. When we got to Blake's car, he opened the passenger side seat for me before hopping into the driver's side.

The ride to was silent all the way to the Pancake restaurant Blake took me to. He opened the door for me and held my hand as we walked into the restaurant. I was shocked that I didn't pull my hand away from him because I had been mad at him earlier that morning. But I felt relieved once I saw him sitting in the dining room on John and my floor. Blake holding my hand felt natural, and I didn't want him to let go.

"Hello, Alpha Blake. How are you today?" the waitress said as we walked into the restaurant. I didn't like the way she smiled at him. She didn't even notice I was there.

"Hello, I need a table for two, please," Blake said.

"Of course, Alpha," She said and grabbed two menus. "Please follow me," She said and began walking to a table. "Would would you like a booth, please," Blake said.

"Sure," She replied and took us to a booth. She placed the menu on the opposite side of each other before we sat down. Blake grabbed my arm, confusing me when I was about to sit on the opposite side of him.

"Do you mind sitting next to me? It has been hard being away from you," Blake said, and I nodded my head. I was too embarrassed to let him know it had also been hard for me to be away from him. I sat next to him in the booth, and he never took his hand from mine. I sat there quietly, waiting for him to begin.

"First, I wanted to apologize to you. I am sorry I didn't wait for you, and you have every right to be mad at me. I knew I would have a Mate and didn't think of how my messing around with other females would make you feel. I know I don't deserve another chance with you, but if you could find it in your heart to give me one, I promise I will show you how much you mean to me," Blake said.

"I am mad at you, but I still want to be with you. I know that what you did was in the past, and even though it was wrong because you knew you would meet me one day, I believe you care about me and want to be with me. So I will give you one more chance," I said, and Blake smiled at me.

"Thank you; I promise you won't regret it."
