Chapter 34
Aurora's POV
"Aurora, how are you feeling?" I looked up to see Blake and John sitting close to me. It was very bright in the room, and my eyes had to adjust to the light. Blake immediately got up, turned the light off in the room, and then sat back in his seat.
"Thank you," I said. Then, I thought about what had happened before I passed out. I looked over at Blake and then jumped out of bed. "You are a werewolf."
"Aurora, calm down. I promise I won't hurt you," Blake said.
"Do you expect me to believe you? I saw you turn into a big dog," I said.
"I am not a dog. I am a werewolf," Blake said.
"And so am I," John added, causing me to look at him.
'You expect me to believe you are a big dog like him? I have known you all my life. I think I would have noticed," I said.
"We are not dogs. We are werewolves," Blake said.
"I don't care what you are. You need to stay away from me," I said. I started feeling guilty when I saw the sadness in his eyes.
"I would never hurt you, Aurora. I am still the same Blake you have been around all this time. Have I ever hurt you?" He asked, and I looked into his eyes. I don't know if I was being stupid, but I believed him. "Will you please sit down so we can talk?" Blake asked. I nodded and sat on Brandy's bed, waiting for him to start talking.
"As I told you, I am a werewolf, and so is your brother. Almost everyone at this house is a werewolf," he said.
"What about your parents and Brandy?" I asked.
"Yes, they are also werewolves," Blake replied, and I turned to look at John.
"Why didn't you tell me you were a werewolf? Are we really related, or were you adopted? Did mom know?" I started, but John cut me off.
"Mom knew I was a werewolf, and yes, we are related. I am really your brother by blood."
Then, how are you a werewolf? Is that why you left?"
"I left the day after I first shifted and came here. I am a werewolf because our father is one as well," John said, shocking me.
"Did mom know?" I asked.
"Yes, she knew that our father was a werewolf. But, when they were together, he never told her about being a werewolf. She ended up finding out when he found his Mate. Our mom and dad, if you can call him our dad, were supposed to get married, but then he found his Mate and broke up with her. Mom was pregnant with you and followed him into the woods because she wanted to talk to him. She saw him with another woman by his side. Then the woman and our father shifted in front of her. He turned and looked at our mom, and she ran out of the woods frightened.
The next day he came to talk to her, but she had already taken me and left town. Before she left, her best friend Summer told her about werewolves and Mates. That our father no longer wanted to be with her because he had found his Mate," John said.
"That is so messed up. Mom must have been so sad," I said.
"Yeah, and she also kept all of this away from us. She should have told me about dad being a werewolf. You have no idea how hard it was for me to get used to being one. I had no idea what was going on when I first shifted."
"That's why you stayed away? Because you were upset that mom kept this away from you," I asked.
"Yeah. I couldn't be around her after I found out she kept something this big away from me my whole life."
"Well, the two of you have something in common. You should have told me you were a werewolf, but you didn't. You let me live in a house full of werewolves without telling me," I said.
"Aurora, I didn't know how to tell you and when I found out that You and Blake were Mates, I wanted to tell you, but it wasn't my place to tell you," John said.
"What do you mean Blake and Me are Mates?" I asked, confused. What the hell was a mate anyway?
"I think Aurora needs a moment alone to talk," Blake said, glaring at John.
"Okay, I will be right outside," John said and left the room. Blake closed the door once he was gone and sat in the chair next to me.
"Are you scared of me?" Blake asked.
"No, "I replied honestly. I knew somehow that Blake would never hurt me, even though he was a werewolf.
"Good. That makes this so much easier."
"What is a Mate, Blake?" I asked. Blake stared at me for a moment and then touched my cheek. I closed my eyes, loving the pleasurable sparks that were going through my body from his touch. "Do you feel that? Do you feel the tingles going through your body?" Blake asked, and I nodded. "And how do they feel?"
"They feel nice," I replied, and he smiled at me.
"YOu feel those because we are Mates. We are meant to be together. We are each other's other half," Blake said
"So what you are telling me is that you are my Soulmate?" I asked.
"Yes. Every Werewolf has a soulmate. The one that completes them and makes them feel whole. They will no longer want to be with anyone else. Any attraction that they had for anyone else would disappear. They will feel sick just thinking about kissing someone else," Blake said.
"Is that why my dad broke up with my mom? Because he felt sick being with her after he found his Mate?" I asked.
"Yes. As I told you, once a Werewolf finds their Mate, they only want it," Blake said.
"How long have you known about Mates?" I asked
"Since I was a little boy when my mom and dad told me," Blake said. I don't know what happened, but suddenly, I was upset.
"So you knew you would have a Mate and still fucked other females?"
