Chapter 32
Aurora's POV
"You need to eat, sweetheart," Cheryl said. Brandy, her parents, and I were sitting on their floor eating dinner.
"I am not hungry," I replied.
"You need to eat or you can become sick," Cheryl said.
"My stomach is hurting. I think it is because of the drug that guy gave me," I lied. I knew the drug had nothing to do with my loss of appetite; I knew that it was because Blake was not there with me. It was crazy how much I missed him when he was gone.
Do you know when Blake is supposed to come back?" I asked Cheryl.
"I am not sure when he will be coming back," Cheryl said. I couldn't help but feel sad.
"But he will be back tonight," Brandon added.
We sat quietly, eating the rest of our food. I still didn't have an appetite, but I didn't want to make them worry, so I decided to eat a little more.
"I am going to go outside to get some air," I said.
"I don't think that's a good idea, sweetheart. Especially after what you went through," Cheryl said.
"I will be fine. I won't stay outside for long," I said.
"I will go with her," Brandy said.
"Oh, let the girls go outside. They will be okay," Brandon said, and Cheryl let out a sigh.
"Okay, but don't be long; I don't want Blake or John finding out you are not in bed. You know they will worry," Cheryl said, and Brandy and I headed outside. We walked around talking for about thirty minutes. We decided to sit down on a bench in front of the house.
"You miss my brother, don't you?" Brandy asked.
"Yes, I do. He just got home and has already had to leave to do something. I know he had to take care of something for work, but I still miss him. I wish he could have waited a little while before he left," I said.
"If it wasn't really important, he wouldn't have left you. He really cares about you, Aurora."
"I really care about him too," I replied.
"Shit, I forgot my phone in my room. Let's go inside so I can get it really quick," Brandy said.
"You go ahead and get it. I will wait for you out here," I replied.
"I don't know if that is a good idea, Aurora," Brandy said.
"I will be fine. Go get your phone," I said.
"I will be right back," she said and walked toward the house. I sat on the bench thinking about Blake. I couldn't wait until Blake got done with whatever he had to do so that the pain in my chest would go away. I felt like a crazy person. It was like I never wanted to be away from him. I always wanted him close to me. If Blake knew how I felt, he would think I was a stalker.
Suddenly, I heard yelling coming from the side of the house. At first, I was about to go back into the house, but then I heard Blake's voice. So I decided to walk over to where the voices were coming from.
"She is my sister Blake, and I thought we were like brothers. You can't kick her out of the Pack just because some girl you barely know tells you she drugged her," I heard a man say. When I walked over to where they were arguing and saw his face, I knew he was Tanya's brother.
"That girl you are talking about is my Mate. You better watch the way you are talking about her, Tim," Blake replied.
"I know my sister, and she could never drug anyone. Is your Mate upset that you used to date my sister? Is that why she is lying on her? You know, Tanya told me that she apologized to Aurora for how she treated her when they first met and told her that she wanted to be friends, but your Aurora told her she wanted nothing to do with her. She told me that Aurora told her that she was going to make her life a living hell. That is how I know that your Mate is lying," Tim said.
"Aurora isn't lying, Tanya is. You and I both know that Tanya will do anything to get what she wants, and she is capable of drugging someone if she feels they are her competition," Blake replied.
"So, you are just going to believe some girl you just met over someone you have known your whole life?" Tim asked.
"Yes, I am going to always be on Aurora's side, no matter what. Like I already told you, she is my Mate and your future Luna," Blake said.
"That lying Bitch will never be my Luna," Tim said.
I looked at Blake to see that he looked pissed. His eyes began to look as dark as the night sky, and he was breathing hard. Suddenly, something shocking happened. Blake changed from his normal human self into a giant black wolf. A few minutes later, Tim had also turned into a wolf. His wolf wasn't as big as Blake's, but he was huge.
I was so shocked that I couldn't stop the gasp from coming out of my mouth, which caused them both to look at me. Tim's wolf began to growl at me, causing me to back away. Tim's wolf was about to come after me when Blake's wolf attacked Tim before he could get to me.
I began to run towards the packhouse while the two wolves fought. As soon as I was by the front door, Cheryl, Brandy, and Brandon were walking out of the house.
"What's wrong, Aurora?" Brandon asked as I ran to them.
"Blake turned into a wolf and is fighting Tim. They are both big wolves," I screamed, and they all looked nervous.
"Brandy, take Aurora to your room now," Brandon said.
"Okay, come on, Aurora," Brandy said, and I followed her inside the house. Before she could close the door, I saw Brandon change into a wolf as well. Suddenly the room was spinning, and darkness overtook me.
