Mel.

The note said exactly that.

"Distractions will always cost you" it read. The person who killed mum thinks I got distracted, and they kind of took revenge on me or something.

Athena just repeated the same words. The king died right?

Or may she have? No

My sword was poisonous and only a small cut could cause a lot of harm to the old wolf.

I stabbed him repeatedly and when I left, he was already dying.No way he survived. I'm sure his body burnt town like the witch I killed.

Can it be one of the witches? Did they escape or something?

Every wolf on that ground submitted, meaning they had surrendered. Was there a traitor or rather a pretender among them?

You can never be sure about these wild animals.

I know the bitch won't tell me anything. And me being pregnant is just another case.

Authur.

I can already imagine how cute he's going to be. And what will he finish that I couldn't?

I can't believe they have already planned out his life. She said he'll be king, I hope they are not going to make my little baby suffer.

A big midnight black wolf approaches me and I internally smile. He is beautiful, my supposed distraction.

He can distract me any time and I won't mind.

As if I would allow him to leave me while I watch, he's not going anywhere without me.

You are stuck with me Aiden.

It's bad enough I paid the price.

Death took my mother instead. I'm not being wicked but am glad it was not him.

"Are you okay, now?" he mind links licking my face.

Isn't that adorable?

"No, am not" I have a lot going on to be okay.

"You'll be fine sweetheart" he lays in front of me licking my snout and my wolf purrs. Is this like a wolf's kiss?"

I still applaud the person who came up with the idea of creating two creatures in one.

You'll never guess behind the beast laying before me, is a breathtaking desirable man. The one any woman would kill to have.

"Did Carl find his mate?" I hopefully ask.

At least karma got her good. My dear brother needs a companion and If she changed, and Carl forgives her it would be better for them.

"Yes, she's among the casualties at the

pack hospitals"So werewolves have hospitals too.

I thought they could heal wounds easily. Though, I learnt that wolfsbane and silver weaken them and slow their healing process.

That must be why they need a hospital.

" Okay, I need to see Liam" Poor boy must be sad. We all lost something dear to us, so it's only best if we are there for each other.

"What did she want this time?" Aiden asks and I look at him in confusion.

"Athena?" I link and he nods his head yes.

"Brought more news, that am pregnant and our son will complete what I couldn't" I still don't understand what that means though.

My mate starts leaking all over my face again and wagging his tail. Is that what they do when happy?

I never kept dogs before, so I wouldn't know.

"She said I get distracted easily" I add and he stops to look at me.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know. Aiden am not ready for this" I will be nineteen next month. I haven't finished high school yet, I am supposed to be his luna and also an expectant mother.

Just me.

Work can wait because I saved enough to last me a lifetime, plus I have dad and Aiden if I needed anything.

"That's why am here, and I will be there every step of the way. I got us okay?" his voice is assuring but I can never be optimistic in this world we leave in.

One minute you are here and the next the moon goddess appears from nowhere with your fate card. I prefer God.

Also, Aiden will not be the one walking around with a big stomach. So he won't understand my feelings.

"Yeah" I reply nonetheless before standing up.

"Wanna join me for a run?" his voice is hopeful but I have to decline. Am not really in the mood and I have to be careful from now on if I want to see my reward.

" I need to check up on Liam first"

"Okay, I will get you clothes," he says running to the bushes. What I hate most about being a wolf, is that when they shift back, they are all bare.

I think only your mate is supposed to see your nudity, but whom am I to judge? I just joined the club recently.

After changing into the big shirt that smells like him, I trudge back to the pack house with him following me closely.

"Do you want me to come with you?" He softly asks and I shake my head no. I don't want a wolf growling at me when I hug my friend.

"No, I will be fine" I peck him on the lip and walk to where Liam stays. I knew he would get me pregnant.

Aiden has a very active and extra libido.

Liam showed me his room but I never had to a reason to come here until now.

I knock on the door severally and when I get no response, I push it open and that is my mistake.

Fuck me and fuck everything I thought I knew all along.

Damn Holiness...

My naked bother is on top of a naked Liam and they have their lips locked in a fierce kiss.

Are my eyes playing games with me?

I quickly groan and turn around before I turn blind.

Ty is into girls, right? He was always crazy about hot girls, and Liam?

What do I know about Liam? Nothing.

They never tell me anything anyway. More reason am not keeping friends again.

Am sure Lily knew.

"Can you two tell me what is going on?" my scream is followed by continuous growls and cusses from the boys.

I marvel at how they didn't sense my presence.

"Mel, I...we..." I turn around when Ty starts talking and he is so embarrassed to talk. Liam is not looking up either but at his bedside table.

For how long have they been doing this?

I came here to give Liam a shoulder to lean on but it looks like he doesn't need it anymore. He and Lily always had secrets they never included me in.

Maybe it was a one-sided relationship but either way, I have enough shit of my own to worry about what so and so is hiding from me.

Like the little man wolf growing inside of me at this moment.

With that resolve, I turn towards the door but stop when Liam finally talks.

"We are mates Mel"



Good day my dear readers,

First, I want to say thank you for loving and supporting my work. You greatly motivate me and I dearly appreciate that.

Second, like you might have noticed, the first volume of this book is about to end, and thus the beginning of the second volume.

The second volume will be the continuation of the first only that, the main character will be Authur. (hope by now you know who that is)

Also, the previous characters will be actively present. Aiden and Melanie's story will end at the end of the second volume.(So we will still have them around)

Before that, I know you might wanna know what happened to Jake and Lily.

So I will give you their Point of views as bonus chapters to help you resolve your unanswered questions.

If there is anything you didn't understand or you would love to know, please let me know before we start the second part of the story.

Note that, we have 2-3 chapters to end part one so your questions and requests need to come up as soon as possible. The second part will be in the same book.
