Mel.

A great force more like a whirlwind appears and disappears with my mate's body leaving me awestruck.

'Follow me if you want to save him' her voice speaks and I breathe in relief.

'Where are you?' I look around but she's nowhere to be seen.

'In the pack house, only you can save him, you need to be quick.'

She doesn't have to say it twice, the problem is, I don't know where the pack house is from here.

Still contemplating on what to do, my wolf takes control and forces my body to shift into a pure silver big wolf, and she takes off in an unknown direction.

I haven't shifted into a wolf since the first tome, and I can testify, this feels amazing.

Her movements are like a blur in the thick canopy of the trees. I admire her agility and strength, it makes wanna do this more often.

Right now I just have to make sure my Aiden is okay.

The more we run deep in the forest, the more his scent appears and with no time, I spot the enormous building of Aiden's pack house.

The only present people are women and Children standing in groups. From the worried looks on their faces, I can tell they're waiting for their men.

I hope they come back to them.

I can tell the dismay of losing someone you really love because I almost lost mine tonight. I will be exclusively lost without that one person.

My wolf doesn't stop, instead, she rushes into the house and everyone we pass shows their necks in submission.

I marvel at how she flies the stairs until we are bursting the door to our room open.

'That was quick' she says shifting her eyes from my mate.

Athena is standing beside our bed where Aiden is lying limp. I hate seeing him this way.

I just have to wake him up and everything will be fine. He will be fine, he promised he won't leave me and I trust him.

Like Tony had taught me, I imagine myself in my human form and it doesn't take me time or pain, before am standing bare in the middle of the room.

The room is messy and everything in it is broken. The couches are lying upside down on the floor, holes are punched in the walls and scratch marks.

The once beautiful portraits lie down broken, our clothes are torn and thrown carelessly everywhere, and mirrors and broken glasses lie aimlessly on the floor.

I ignore my nudity and walk to the one person that has great power over me.

The whole bathing can wait. Fuck, I can't imagine how filthy I look right now.

"What should I do?" I ask the woman who is staring at me with a calm face. She never shows her emotions.

"Your mark will wake him up" she mumbles walking closer and I look back at my sleeping darling.

My mark?

"How do I do it?" Athena places her palm on my forehead and chants repetitive words in her foreign language. I don't know what she's doing but my body starts feeling weird.

I start feeling extremely horny and hot in the wrong places.

"What did you just do?" I breathlessly mumble looking at her in confusion.

Fuck, my body is burning with need. I only feel this way when Aiden touches me but right now he hasn't.

"It's time to complete your mating process Mel, goodbye" she gives me a slight smile before disappearing in thin air.

Fuck, I haven't felt like this before. Is it even normal? Nothing in this world is normal anyway.

I hover over the limp Aiden and let my wolf take control since I don't know the first thing about marking.

I can feel her strength, her hunger, she takes complete control and starts to gently licks at Aidens skin. Mostly, the place where his shoulder connects to his head.

She gives him another tender lick and our teeth turn to canines. My wolf growls loudly nipping at his neck, and finally sinks her canines into his flesh.

I scare for him when I taste the metallic liquid of blood, but the sudden groan from my mate elates me.

Aiden's hands tightly grip my waist, I have never felt this happy in my entire lifetime. That feeling of almost losing something and you get it back.

He's awake. The King is gone and I have my mate back.

No more threats, he won't get hurt again and no one will take him from me.

"Mine'' I grumble in an unknown voice licking the wound dry. I lift myself to look at him and am amazed at how fast his wounds have healed.

" Babe" I mumble cupping his jaw and the beautiful eyes I love so much flutter open to look at me.

Fuck, I love him.

"Mel" he whispers in a groggy voice and a tear comes rolling from my eye.

"I love you, it's over," i says kissing his head he and he quickly flips us and hovers above me.

Aiden looks around the room in confusion, and his stare moves back to me. I don't know what he's thinking because his face is blank.

''Your scent" he growls deeping his face on my neck Inhaling deeply.

He lifts his head to look at me and his eyes are darker than before.

"Thank you" he mumbles and finally lets me see his emotions. The look he normally gives me. Love and admiration.

With the way my body is feeling, I want him to do something. But how do I tell him what Athena did?

As if reading my mind, Aiden crushes his lips on mine and hungrily kisses me. I kiss him back with the same hunger tugging at shorts and he quickly helps me take them off.

Without warning, Aiden slams his hard cock in me like never before and we both groan from the pleasure. For the first time, he's not making love to me but roughly fucking me.

What shocks me is that I like it, and my body moves with the same energy as his.

I kiss his forehead back and he closes his eyes sighing in contentment "You are my home Aiden"
