Chhapter-54 Go through a session

VALERIE’S POV

“Hey, Valerie. What do you mean by this statement? Do you have any idea what you are talking about?” Logan asked, and I hummed.

“Do you really think I would be saying something so severe casually without a base to it?” I asked.

“No one is accusing you of anything, Valerie, but you need to tell us why you said it. Did you see the vampires? Who? When? Where? And why the hell didn’t you tell me anything about it for so long?” Ambrose asked, cupping my cheeks and forcing me to look at him, and I sighed.

“I was hiding this from you because I didn’t really see him. I mean, it’s a bit complicated. Last night, I had a dream. It was the first time I saw a red-eyed man in my dream. He was sitting on the tree right outside our balcony and jumped on the balcony when I was looking at the moon. When I woke up, I found myself on the bed, but the dream felt very much real. And -” I paused.

“And?” Ambrose asked, and I bit my lower lip.

“I felt some weird vibes near the stable yesterday. The person who handles them called me because my horse is there too and I can calm them, but when I reached there, everyone was going crazy. It was as if they saw something dangerous and evil. I felt weird too. And now these letters. How were they able to send these letters here if no humans came? They surely didn’t send it through a council member or other wolves, right?” I asked.

“What kind of absurd explanation is this? So you are saying, we should believe you saw the vampires here and question our security just because you had a lewd dream, the horses reacted, and these letters? I haven’t heard something as stupid as this,” one of the council members said.

“I felt that everything is related to them and -”

“Oh, cut it. We have the best security in the entire nation. If you want to go back with your alpha, just say so. Why are you forcing us to question our security and -” The rest of his words stuck in his mouth because, with the speed of light, I appeared right in front of him and grabbed his neck, pulling him in the air.

“You say you have the best security in the world. I am guessing that you are the one who handles the council security. Tell me, will that security be able to save you from my clutches? How dare you mock me? Do you not want to live anymore?” I asked, looking him straight in the eyes.

“Valerie, why do you keep running away from my arms? I have told you I lose control when you are not with me, no?” Ambrose said and pulled me away from the council member, making me sigh.

I know he did it to save that member from my wrath, but he could’ve taken my side too, no?

“I don’t care what you think. This is my explanation of everything. If you still think this place is the safest place for me and keep me here, I swear when the vampires would come next time I will destroy this place by shifting to their side. After all, I am one of them now, aren’t I?” I looked into Logan’s eyes.

I don’t know how much he has told the council about my curse or what kind of power I have and execute anymore. I don’t care about anything.

When the vampires come, everyone will know the truth eventually, no? It’s not like hiding it like this is doing us any benefit. The love of life believes me and doesn’t care if I turn into a cursed one, hybrid one, no wolf one, or anything in the future, and that’s all I need to survive in this world, which is more cursed than me.

“I think Valerie is right. And I am not saying this because I am threatened by her so-called words, but because we can’t take away her life and lock her here just like that. On a serious note, if we think selfishly, isn’t keeping her here more harmful than keeping her out there? She is not hurting any packs or is a threat to anyone. If the vampires come for her, they will cause more damage here than they will create outside,” Logan said, and though his words were harsh, I knew he was doing it for my benefit only.

“Logan, what are you trying to say? Do you think we are afraid of dying?” One of the council members raised their voice, and I smiled.

“I am sure you are not afraid of dying, but are you really ready to sacrifice your life for a rogue wolf like me?” I asked him, and the hesitancy in his eyes made me smile.

“You guys have your answer,” I shrugged.

‘“I don’t remember the time I said I was done with my words. Though we will allow Valerie to go out and stay in Ambrose’s pack or her apartment, she will have to have a session with someone first,” Logan said.

“A session? What kind of session?” I asked, confused.

‘A session with the witch who will help you remember things clearly. She will also help you remember the faces of the vampires that you are still not able to remember, just in case you encounter them in the future,” He said, and I looked at Ambrose, who had a thoughtful expression on his face.

“I think that’s fine. It’s just a session. What would probably go wrong with it?” I asked, and the smile that passed through Logan’s face wasn’t something I was looking forward to.

“Great. So after this session, you can return to your place and give those exams before coming back here for vacation. You can do that much, right? We are already compromising so much for your wish,” Logan said, and I hummed.

“I can do that,” I said and was about to ask Ambrose to come back to the room with me because I needed a dose of him when he said something that made me look at him.

“What kind of session will it be? As far as I know, the witch will enter her mind and fish out those memories, right?” Ambrose asked, and Logan hummed.

“It will take some time. So rest well till I call that witch,” Logan smiled at me, making me feel creepy.

I was happy I got things done my way, but I had no idea what kind of pain I signed up for.
