Chapter 23
"You liar!"
Layla didn't curse in her heart every time she remembered what happened this afternoon at the casino. The image of John and Sophie's faces laughing happily while holding hands seemed to worsen the wound in her heart.
She couldn't believe that the two of them had planned all this from the start. Even though they didn't say anything, what happened this afternoon explained everything.
She wanted to cry, wanted to scream. She was here with a strange man after a miserable night on the women's auction stage. How could she possibly forgive their mistakes?
"Those bastards, those two must have planned all this. They did all this on purpose to get rid of me and take advantage of my stupidity to make money!" She was frustrated, her feelings were so chaotic that her chest felt so painful.
"John bastard...! You damn bastard, I will definitely kill you...!" She screamed hysterically in het room while throwing all kinds of objects around her.
She screamed hysterically and sobbed. In front of her bedroom door, Kerry, Judy and Mona stood motionless because they were too afraid to disturb her. They didn't know what happened, but after Layla went home with their master this afternoon, Layla immediately went in and locked the door to her room.
"Should we tell master?" Judy asked. She felt very sorry and anxious about Layla's condition.
"I think we should tell Master Lucien about Miss Layla!"
"Okay, I will tell him!"
"Are you sure, Kerry?"
"It can't be helped that you have to know about this, right? Besides, I feel sorry for Miss Layla, it seems like she just had a very bad day. I'm sure she's a good woman, that's why I want to help her."
***
"Screaming hysterically?" Lucien Asked.
"R-right, Master!"
Lucien got up from the sofa while loosening his tie. He already knew that what happened today would more or less affect Layla's mental state. But he slightly didn't expect that it would shake the woman to this extent.
"Okay, let me take care of it." He said. Lucien chose to meet Layla in her room, instead of being indifferent to her as usual.
He knocked on the bedroom door as he usually did every time he wanted Layla to open the door. But there was no answer apart from the sound of heartbreaking crying.
"Layla, open the door!" He asked. He tried to act calm and persuade Layla. However, it seems that his efforts did not bear fruit. Layla still didn't budge and it was starting to make him lose his patience.
"Layla, open the door and stop whining! We have to talk and I need you to listen to me!" He said firmly. His tone did not indicate at all that he wanted to try to persuade Lyra. He was giving orders and he wanted Lyra to obey his orders.
"Lyra, open the door before I get really mad at you!"
And this time his bluff worked, a moment later Lyra opened the front door with a very heartbreaking look on her face. Her eyes looked empty as if showing her fragile soul.
"I'm sorry, master. I'm really sorry-" Just before Lyra finished her words, Lucas pulled her hand away and kissed her lips. Lyra was silent, her head felt empty and light as if the burden and pain had been lifted to the surface.
"Just forget everything! Right now you are with me, I don't want to see any tears flowing from your eyes as long as you are with me. Do you understand?" He whispered softly. Like a hypnotist, Lyra just remained silent and nodded slowly.
"Good girl. Now shower and get ready. After dinner, I want you to dance for me."
***Lyra looked at herself in the mirror, she felt much more nervous than she thought. Lucas asked her to dress up and wear a transparent dress that made her curves very clearly visible.***
***"Looks like this is it!" She thought. Now she was sure that tonight she and Lucas would spend a night of passionate sex. Lucas asked her to dance in his room dressed like this and it was certain that the end of the dance would lead to a bed scene.***
***"But he's still a virgin, right? No, I don't think I still believe what Lucien said yesterday. How could a man like him have never made love with someone." She muttered. She felt very nervous even though she still hadn't done anything.***
***After her anxiety subsided, Lyra decided to immediately go to the dining room because it seemed like it was time. When she arrived at the dining room, she didn't see Lucas' other six brothers. There was only Lucas alone without even the servants who usually lined up in the dining room.***
***Realizing that she and Lucas were actually alone in this room made her feel even more nervous. Food and a bottle of wine were served on the table, there were even candles in the middle of the table which made the atmosphere more romantic.***
***Lucas stood to greet her beside the table, holding out her hand like a noble man. He held Lyra's hand and kissed her like Lucien did last night.***
***Lyra was pounding, Lucas' appearance tonight looked so enchanting. He is still loyal to his signature style, a neat and elegant black tuxedo suit. But because tonight was special, it made it a little different.***
***"W-where are your brothers? They haven't come home yet?"***
***"I asked them not to come home tonight because I didn't want anyone to bother us."***
***"What about the servants?"***
***"They're in another room, is there anything else you want to ask?"***
***"N-no." She said. Lucas looked at her with his beautiful eyes and guided her towards the dining table.***
***They sat opposite each other and ate the delicious dishes that had been prepared. Lyra felt there was something strange about her. This afternoon she cried uncontrollably after realizing the betrayal by her husband and close friend. She was angry and felt very disappointed, but in just a short time her feelings changed 180 degrees.***
