Chapter 21- Chaos

I woke up feeling dizzy and exhausted. Maybe it's because I only slept for an hour and I even missed eating last night because I also had no appetite. I had to wake up early for our training even though I'm sleepless.

I was stunned when Cath touched my shoulder. "Are you alright?" she asked, worriedly. I immediately nodded so that she would not have to worry anymore. We just finished our first training and we took a quick break.

"Our second training will start after five minutes, be ready," said Isaac and he walked out from the training room.

"Okay, seriously..." Lydia approached me. "What's the problem between you and Isaac? From earlier, you avoided each other, and it's not like you. What the hell happened?" I shrugged, not wanting to tell them what had happened. I don't want to drag them to our problem anymore. They still don't have any idea about Isaac's decision to leave this team.

"I'll leave for a minute. I'll be back." Before they could even stop me, I walked away. I went to the rooftop to clear my mind for a minute or two. It is also tiring to think of all the things that are happening.

The thought of Isaac's face being angry at me pisses me off. We don’t talk and I should be happy, I feel the other way around. It hurts me but it shouldn’t.

"I guess Isaac isn't the only one hanging out here now." I turned to the side and was surprised to see Hunter. He walked closer to me and messed my hair.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him. He's wearing casual attire, yet he still stands out. He looked at the amusing view in front of us.

"Same as you, clearing my mind." I heard him chuckled. "The only difference between us is that I'm not trying to escape or run away in what's in front of me."

My forehead furrowed and I turned my gaze to him. "I'm not running away." He looked at me as if he had no intention of believing what I said.

"Yeah, right." He raised his brow. The wind blows his hair that exposed his red eyes. "How long are you going to push him away?"

I bit my lower lip and remembered Isaac's emotionless face again. "Why do you keep on saying things like that as if I'm always the wrong one?" There was a hint of annoyance in my voice. I know what I did probably hurt Isaac, but that's the right thing to do for myself and him. "I push people away to protect myself. You don't have any idea what shits I've been through."

"Althea, all people will bring pain to you. You just have to find someone worthy of that pain," he said, more on like he's lecturing me.

"It's not that easy. Look at Isaac, he's..." I close my eyes. Every time that I remember the gap between us, I always think about how small I am. "...just too good for me."

"You should stop worrying about your gap or your differences. If you don't want to pull Isaac to where you are now, go up so you can reach him. Because that's how it works." I couldn't say a word after Hunter said that. Maybe because I realized that he has a point.

"But he hates me now," I said emphatically. He looked at me again and I flinched when he pats my forehead. "What was that for?!"

"Go back to your training. They're waiting for you and think about how you feel towards Isaac before it's too late," He winked. I immediately thanked him and ran down to the training room. I got carried away that I forgot about our training.

When I arrived at the training room, they had not yet started. Looks like they're waiting for me.

"Where have you been?" Isaac's voice was full of anger. I bit my lip. I was about to answer when he started to talk. "Or is it more appropriate to ask who made you late?"

My forehead furrowed. Did he saw Hunter and I on the rooftop? "It doesn't matter. I'm already here--" He stopped me from talking again.

"Well, it does to me. Why did you push me away and then talk to other guys? You're doing this on purpose, don't you?" he said, angrily.

Now Lydia and Cath are looking at me with too much confusion as well as Kurt and Kristian. "All right. What's up? What are you not telling us?" Kurt asked in astonishment as if he could no longer be restrained by our behavior.

"We're fine," Isaac and I said in unison, but Isaac was still glaring at me.

"Seriously, you two are hiding too much from us. I thought we're a family here?" For the first time, Cath is pissed.

I touched my head when it started throbbing and my vision became blurry, it hurts, and I feel like I will fall anytime.

"I need to rest." I was about to turn my back on them, but Isaac said something that stopped us.

"I did what I did because I thought I could have you. I thought that if I left my position and you were no longer part of the group, you would let me be part of your life. But I was wrong. Because you're too insensitive. You don't even consider my feelings for you." I was so annoyed that I turned around to face him.

"Don't even say that." I can feel my eyes are watering. How dare him to say that when all I ever did was to protect him and everything that he has.

"Wait a minute..." Kurt interrupted. "You wanted to leave us behind for Althea?" He turned to Isaac who became quiet.

My head hurts even more because of what's happening. I looked at Kurt and said, "It's not Isaac's fault--"

"No, Althea! This is Isaac's choice!" Lydia yelled. I expected this, that they would react like this if they found out, and surely, they will be angry toward Isaac. This is the reason why I didn't tell them.

"All of these are planned, but you're going to leave us behind?" Kristian asked. Isaac remained calm and quiet, but I could see he's also bothered. He just stood there while looking at me, ignoring them.

"This is all my fault," when I said that they turned to me at the same time. "I should leave."

I faced the door and held on to it to support myself.

"But the training is not over yet--" I cut Kristian off. Tears welled up in my eyes. I could no longer hold my headache and my vision was almost unclear.

"N-No, I'm going to leave and go back to my old life. This is all my fault." When I took a step, I immediately grabbed the doorknob and was about to leave when my sight spin.

"Althea!" they shouted that echoed throughout the room and before I could hold on to something, I immediately fell to the ground, and all went black.
