Chapter 114: Don't You Have to Work Today?
If Nolan hadn't known the truth, Cleo might have fooled him again.
"Are you sure the baby is really mine?" Cleo's face went pale, panic flashing in her eyes.
"Nolan, what are you talking about? How can you doubt me?"
"Did Anne say something to you? You can't trust that bitch; she's just trying to wreck our marriage and make you suspicious of me!"
Nolan coldly pulled out a piece of paper. "While you were out cold for the past half day, I went to see a specialist. He said my sperm count is zero; I have azoospermia."
"A guy like me can't have kids! How can I get you pregnant?"
Nolan couldn't hold back his anger and threw the document at Cleo's face.
"Cleo, you've really taken me for a fool!"
Cleo watched the paper flutter to the ground, the word "azoospermia" cutting deep.
"Nolan, Nolan, listen to me, it's not like that, I didn't..."
Cleo lunged at Nolan, making a last-ditch effort, but Nolan coldly stepped back, causing her to fall hard from the bed to the floor. He didn't even try to help her up.
Her heart turned to ice, and she started laughing uncontrollably.
Nolan frowned, confused by her laughter.
"Yes, the baby isn't yours. It's my ex's! That bitch Anne has been with you for eight years and never got pregnant. I've only been with you for a short time, and I'm already pregnant. You never questioned it."
"You are the biggest idiot on the planet! You can't have kids, and cluelessly let your mom blame everything on Anne. You are truly laughable and pathetic."
"What did you say?" Raina appeared at the hospital room door. Hearing Cleo say the baby wasn't Nolan's and that Nolan was infertile, she rushed over and grabbed Cleo by the collar.
"Say it again, who did you say is infertile?"
"Of course, your son!" Cleo replied with a cold smile.
"Impossible, this is impossible, you must be lying, I'm going to tear your mouth apart!"
Raina slapped Cleo several times, making her head spin.
Nolan quickly pulled Raina away, but she shook off his hand and kicked Cleo hard in the stomach.
Blood immediately pooled beneath Cleo, and she passed out on the spot.
Meanwhile, Dorian walked Anne back to Windsor Manor. Remy was sunbathing in the yard. Seeing Dorian and Anne return together, she immediately sat up, took off her sunglasses, and was stunned.
"Am I seeing things? Anne and Dorian, have they made up?"
The young maid standing next to her looked confused. "Ms. Windsor, when did Ms. Percy and Mr. Windsor have a fight?"
"Forget it, you wouldn't understand even if I told you!" Remy sighed contentedly and lay back on the lounge chair.
"Good thing I signed them up for that course. After finishing that, their relationship has gotten closer. Looks like I need to arrange more such courses for them!"
Remy had no idea what had really happened after she left and just assumed they had reconciled.
Dorian walked Anne back to the room. "If that's all, I'll be going."
Anne suddenly reached out and grabbed him.
"What?"
"From now on, you sleep here."
A glint of light flashed in Dorian's eyes, and he coughed twice. "Got it."
Throughout the night, Dorian was consumed by a relentless passion for her, making love with an intensity that lasted long into the night, to the point where she felt a mix of irritation and exasperation.
"Dorian, what time is it? Aren't you tired?"
"Nope." Dorian hugged her tightly, inhaling the scent of her hair.
Anne was helpless. "Don't you have work tomorrow, I mean, today?"
Dorian had been at it since 10 PM, and now it was already 1 AM.
Anne's hair was soaked, with a strand sticking to her flushed cheek.
It looked irresistibly tempting.
She glanced out the window powerlessly.
Dorian propped himself up on his arms, staring at her foolishly. "Alright, I won't tease you anymore. I'll carry you to take a bath, and then we'll sleep."
Dorian picked Anne up as he said, obediently bathed her, and after putting her to bed, he didn't mess around anymore, just held her and slept.
Anne closed her eyes and slowly drifted into sleep, unaware that Dorian was watching her intently from behind.
Her skin was delicate and alluring, giving the illusion of fragile beauty.
In the moonlight, he greedily admired every inch of her beauty, memorizing every subtle expression she made while sleeping.
His voice had long since become hoarse. "There's a new project starting soon. The next few days will be very busy, and I won't have the time or energy to be like tonight."
He kissed Anne's earlobe affectionately. Anne said nothing, quietly closing her eyes.
No wonder he was so relentless in his desire tonight.
Then, Dorian added another sentence. "So, how about one more time?"
Anne immediately curled up and pretended to sleep, acting as if she hadn't heard anything.
When Anne woke up, Dorian had already gone to the company.
When she got up, her body felt refreshed because Dorian had bathed her last night.
She asked the servant for a freshly brewed cup of coffee, but Remy snatched it away just as she was about to drink it.
"Pregnant women should drink less coffee. Here, have this. I specially made this nutritious soup for you."
"Nutritious soup?" Anne sniffed it and found the smell pungent and unpleasant, instinctively covering her nose.
"Are you sure this soup is drinkable?"
"Of course it is. When I was pregnant with Dorian, his grandmother made me this soup. It's great for the baby, said to help with brain development. That's why I could give birth to such a smart child like Dorian."
Anne smiled faintly, recalling how Dorian had cunningly entangled her last night. He was indeed smart, but it seemed like he used his intelligence in the wrong place.
She had no choice but to drink the whole bowl of nutritious soup, not wanting to hurt Remy's feelings.
"Good girl, from now on, one bowl every day. I'll personally bring it to you."
"More?"
Anne was stunned, imagining how tough the next seven months would be.
After drinking the soup, Anne picked up her phone and saw many missed calls, mostly from Cleo.
